I had my pavers and pool coping pressure washed, sanded and sealed by a company and they completely destroyed my pool coping and some of my pavers. He also ruined my pool and I had to have a professional pool company come to fix it and it took them months to get it back where I could swim in it and a lot of money. The job cost me $5,000 for the job and another $2,000 to fix my pool.

Mr. *********** project was completed in January of 2025 with no complaints or issues communicated at the time. It was explained at the time of Mr. *********** project that the sealer needed to be stripped from the pavers on the pool deck. It was also explained to Mr. ********* that because the area around the pool deck was artificial turf and the water from stripping the sealer from the pool deck may damage the artificial turf and the absence of  drainage that the water would most likely end up in the pool. Which he understood at the time and had no problem with. Additionally we offered at the time to have a company come out as a courtesy to clean the pool which he declined and said he would do it himself. Mr. ********* reached out to us 9/2025 nine months after the completion of his project to ask for advise regarding sealer failing on his pool cooping. We went to take a look at Mr. *********** pool cooping and determined the chemicals in the pool was causing the sealer to fail and not covered under warranty. However as a courtesy we offered to come out and apply another coat of sealer to the cooping at no charge as our schedule permitted. Mr. ********* was unhappy with our scheduling and used abusive and aggressive language with employees so we elected to rescind the courtesy service. It clearly states on our quote form that all customer concerns must be brought to our attention within 24hrs of project completion. Mr. ********* waited nine months.

I have reviewed the photos attached. I agree there are items that were not completed and as I stated in my previous communications we were scheduled to return to the customers property on 8/25 which was agreed to and confirmed with the customer on August 21st. The return visit on 8/25 was to apply another polyaspartic top coat to the flake system on the pool deck, Sand and apply T2000 top coat on the front porch and bar area, take care of any additional items to complete the project. As  stated by Mr. ******* on our text conversation on August 20th the touch up completed for the flake system on the pool deck was a thumbs up so all that was left to do was to wipe any areas that remained tacky and apply another top coat. The customer chose to cancel our return visit and release us from any further obligation regarding the project on email exchange from the morning of 8/25.  The black dots in the picture behind the bar area is epoxy and not marks from the spikes. The spikes dont leave marks in the epoxy, that is the purpose for wearing them. As stated in my previous communication the customer was informed about the poor condition of the concrete behind the bar area and that that area would not be 100%. There was an issue with dragon flies and grasshoppers getting into the finish behind the bar area and the front porch overnight. The customer was well aware of the possibility of this happening. Mr. ******** reply to this was to try to blend the prints left by the insects. What we did was sand the are with a 80 grit sand screen to get as much out as possible. We also explained to Mr. ******* that the area along the rocks which was taped off during the metallic application protruded over the concrete in areas and we could not go all the way to the wall with the application so we went to the edge of the tape as not to damage the rocks. The edge that is pictured is where the application ended and not peeling as suggested by the customer. In our conversation with Mr. ******* about the area he said that he understood and was fine with it but asked if we could cover it. We applied a clear epoxy coating along the edge. The only thing that was left to complete the area was the top coat. We originally put flakes around the pool cooping and painted it blue at the request of the customer. Mr. ******* stated that the edges from the flake were to sharp so we grinded the pool cooping to remove the flake and repainted it blue minus the flakes. The grinding is done by hand and will leave swirl marks that is why we originally used the flakes. The concrete around the pool cooping was in poor condition prior to the work being done. The rea around the skimmer lid was cracked and concrete was missing. This was pointed out to *********** In summary yes there were issues with this project most of which we discussed with the customer and were more than wiling to resolve were we could. We scheduled with the customer and the customer agreed for us to come out the morning of 8/25. We purchased additional material and was on our way. The customer chose to cancel and release us from any further obligation for the project. We do not feel the customer is due any portion of the deposit back as the quote form clearly states deposits are nonrefundable. Deposits are used to purchase material for the project. The customer was provided a copy of the quote for review prior to hiring us for the project. We do not feel it is reasonable that the customer not pay the final invoice presented for work performed. We fully intend to file a lien on the customers property as well as pursue payment in small claims court

Response from Homeowner Complaint ID ******** This is a Duplicate response as stated with Orange County Neighborhood Services Complaint: 23799859

I am rejecting this response. Original complaint was filled with BBB 8/26/25 Olympus is not an accredited business with the BBB he chose to respond 10/1/25

Olympus Concrete Coatings: Mr ******* B. ****** presented himself and came to our home and as a Professional he arrived in a nice wrapped van advertising a professional epoxy flooring service, he Presented a professional Brochure to the Homeowner listed himself on the Brochure doing business as a Veteran

After speaking with Mr ****** in comparison with other vendors he stated that he could perform both applications for Epoxy Flakes and Epoxy flooring ,we made the decision to use his services as presented and advertised by Olympus Concrete Coatings ****
We felt his presentation of the company implied a certain level of skill and Professional workmanship.
Olympus failed to provide the Homeowners any written contract
Olympus Failed to acknowledge any signatures needed for any documents.
At no time were the Homeowners notified either verbally or in writing that there may be challenges with the epoxy flakes and or paint -it was our opinion that a skilled and knowledgeable epoxy professional should have disclosed to the homeowners of potential risk and problems
Olympus failed to provide a copy of his business license and Tax receipt as promised per e-mail.

Correct Quote showing deposit of 25% was never received after Olympus was asked to change the Original quote for deposit from 50% to 25%
July 8th Olympus sent an attachment to my Husband ******* showing the 50% percent required and was asked to correct and resend the quote for the 25% the corrected quote was never received
Only an Invoice was received with the paragraph on the back of the invoice stating All work will be completed within 30 days of Deposit receipt
Deposit of $2650.27 was given July 14th, 2025 the business listed on my Credit card receipt was charged by Olympus Pressure Ocoee not Olympus Concrete Coatings
Work commenced Tuesday August 5th, 2025

    Olympus provided the following:
    No Contract
No proper insurance was received -Home Owner did not discover insurance was wrong until damages were discovered when we looked to file a claim for the
    Damages to the pool deck.
It is the responsibility of Olympus to provide that to the home owner proper insurance they did not before the work commenced 8/6/25
Homeowner was never provided with the correct insurance showing Olympus until he sent it with his response to the Orange County Complaint case.
Invoice 1027 stated on the back all work will be completed within 30 days of deposit receipt Deposit was July 14th, 2025.

Response to Case OCC *********** by the Homeowner
Olympus Stated in the response document he was present and working on the property 3 weeks which is not truth
Mr ****** did not ***ort to the project August 8-11 he took his wife to St. ********* for her Birthday
*******-*******  he had an urgent family matter and did not ***ort to the job

Pool challenges and request for correction
Homeowner requested 3 times that the pool water be isolated  during sanding, in a Feeble attempt by Olympus with a tarp he placed over the pool water the tarp was much smaller that the pool width and depth allowing toxic chemicals and debris in the pool requiring the home owner to clean over 3 hours each occurrence.
Mr ****** stated in the response to case 2508-04958 that he taped off the pool deck to to prevent materials from running into the pool acknowledging that he did damage the pool
Epoxy paint challenges behind the bar and the front patio
It was commented in the response by Mr ****** that the homeowner routinely walked over the area that he advised against that again is not truth we never walked on the area without his permission. The  brochure advertises and it clearly states you can walk on the product after 12 hours of application.

    Project Timeline:
8/5/25 1st day of the project: Olympus had an equipment failure when he was scarifying the concrete he took leave from the project over 4 hours to look for a part and did not know how to ***air the instrument so he spent another hour on the phone with a *** trying to figure out how to ***air the machine.
Once he began Scarfing behind the Bar his machine caused the concrete to crumble he stated his opinion that it was bad concrete
My Husband ***aired the concrete and told Olympus to continue, originally due to the crumbling Olympus was going to flake behind the bar area following the curing of the concrete while Mr ****** was away with his wife in ********************** upon his return Mr ****** then decided the concrete ***air was ok and painted it instead of the flakes Mr. ****** never notified the homeowner that he was going to paint instead of flakes until we looked out and saw he had changed his mind.
8/10/25 email sent to Mr ****** requesting correction by the Homeowner
8/13/25 Mr ****** again left the project to go to Lowes
8/14/25 email sent to Mr ****** requesting correction by the Homeowner for additional requests of correction
Each time Olympus returned to the property the damages became more prevalent each occurrence that Mr ****** tried correction. It is the opinion of the homeowner that he was not capable of performance as advertised. During the period of absence Mr ****** was not at the job site the epoxy behind the bar and the front patio are yellow and turning orange in color.
Following and during the painting and curing process and Olympus was walking in cleats causing  the paint behind the bar to now have black dots and dragonfly prints epoxy overflowed under the bar paint also splashed on the walls
8/21/25 Mr ****** sent an e-mail of an urgent family emergency he did not return back to the project
8-22-8-23-25 During the absence of Olympus we requested independent contractors in the epoxy industry to the home to give us their professional opinion of what they saw wrong with. the installation and why the workmanship was poor and what the ***air cost for the job would be.
It was their opinion that the entire project had to start over.
After giving Olympus a chance to ***air and correct things before 9/25/25 and speaking with professionals in the epoxy industry we made the decision to ask Olympus not to return to the property.

8/25/25 He phoned stating he was coming to the property after taking time for a supposed family emergency and we asked him not to return to the property that we were releasing him

Certified mail was sent 8/25/25 Article 89 ******** 0365 5292 43 signed by the *** store 8/27/25 at his listed place of business
Mr ****** stated following the phone call on 8/25/25 via e-mail hat he would reduce the cost of the invoice knowing that he damaged the pool coping and tiles
Mr ****** also stated in an email he was willing to make reasonable corrections however at this point it would be the entire project.
At this point in the timeline we lost faith in his ability to perform professional standards as advertised we experienced poorly executed epoxy installation of the flakes and the paint and top coat
Common mistakes made could stem from inadequate surface p***aration, improper mixing and application of the product. Environmental conditions may have contributed to the failure
I am not an Epoxy expert that is why we asked for additional opinions in the industry to look and see if the standards were met. It was clear after speaking with them the industry standards were Not met Olympus mis***resented the quality and professionalism that was originally portrayed as advertised in the brochure

8/26/25 Credit Card Disputed with **************** and was investigated and refunded ******** due to the actions of Mr ****** the owner/manager of Olympus Concrete Coatings damaged the Homeowners property his actions with project performance was sub standard work according to industry standards and what the company advertises. Services provided by Olympus were significantly mis***resented and different from what was advertised

It is my right as a consumer purchasing services from a Business under Consumer Protection allowing me as the Consumer to dispute the charges for quality of services provided they were not as advertised and certainly not as expected Property was damaged-The charge on my card came through as Olympus Pressure Ocoee not Olympus Concrete Coatings

To ***air the damages made by Olympus we have obtained a quote from a Certified pool contractor for the damages and ***airs of 2,330.00
Repairs for correcting the poor workmanship and mistakes made by Olympus
The cost to ***air to correct the flakes and behind the bar with an epoxy company not including the front is $11,998 total plus pool damages = $14,328.00 to ***air the damages and mistakes and poor workmanship made by Olympus.

The deck is still sticky to date Olympus performed poorly in comparison to industry standards he advertised as a professional and due to poor work performance not as advertised we did not want Mr ****** -owner/Manager of Olympus Concrete Coatings **** to continue damaging our property.
