    I reject this response. Obviously, Critter Control is acknowledging they needed to make corrections. Yes, we authorized work to be done THAT WAS NOT DONE CORRECTLY or AS SPECIFIED IN CONTRACT. 

                 ' We have offered several times to make corrections and customer refused. The product installed was authorized by the customer.'

    In an effort to bring this matter to conclusion once and for all, we will accept a refund representing 1/2 of what we paid Critter Control ($19,500) to offset all the additional cost that Critter Control has caused us. 

    We will accept a refund of $9,750 by check to be received by us no later than June 30, 2025.

    Otherwise, we will be posting reviews of our experience with Critter Control.

    We (Critter Control) scheduled a reinspection on 12/5/2024 with Mrs. Lakin to address her concerns of dust
    in the home and the accusations made by a separate contractor that the old
    insulation was not removed during our restoration process, the new insulation
    was not installed at the correct r-value, ducts had been damaged, and dust was
    left in the living space.

    We
    (Matt and Shawn) arrived first thing that morning, 12/5, to greet Mrs. Lakin and
    explain we would reinspect all areas of the attic. During the inspection we
    found new cellulose insulation throughout all the attic installed at the
    correct depth except for a 10x10 area directly around the attic hatch. We
    explained to Mrs. Lakin that the area was lower to ensure insulation does not fall into
    the living space from the hatch when the hatch is opened in the future. 
    We offered to correct the issue of the low r-value around the hatch and any
    dust in the home. Claire declined our proposed solution once again after
    initially approving and then canceling a previous appointment to fix her
    concerns. 

    No
    damage to any ducts were found during the reinspect. We provided Mrs. Lakin with
    numerous photos and video of the before and after conditions of the attic to
    show the work was completed as promised/proposed in the estimate. 

    She
    was not satisfied with our reinspect findings and decline service to address her concerns that we were offering
    at no cost.

    Detected raccoon droppings in attic. Called Critter Control on 3-11-25. Given a verbal explanation of services to be covered and estimate on 3-11-2025. Credit card given for 50% of services ($1660.89) be performed 3-11-2025. Trap/cage placed on roof near opening which was later discovered to not be an entry point as plywood was in place. There were two other openings. Employee sent to close these two areas which will need to be reinforced due to materials used.I signed no estimate on 3-11-2025 but received an email with a signed estimate, not my signature on 3-14-2025 via email.Three weeks later no racoon(s) were captured. The second half of the bill was reread and I disputed the charge of $589.00 for racoon(s) removal. This was the same day the technician was to complete the job. They stated the bill must be paid before they would ********* handyman removed the cage and closed the superficial damage to the roof.The cage was last at the side of the house. I have heard nothing further.

    A total of 1 1/2 hours spent at our home and I estimate that there was less than $25.00 spent on materials. I called company and asked to speak to office manager. I ask how they could justify $1,600.00. She could not give me an answer but said they had an A+ rating by BBB. I have no confidence in your company is you give them this rating due to no contest that this is a rip off

    4 individuals from Critter Control inspected attic
    on Dec 5 2024 & have acknowledged to me the problem with install. They want to redo. Absolutely will not let Critter Control do any further damage to our attic & home.

    We will NOT have Critter Control DO ANY FURTHER DAMAGE TO OUR HOME, DUCT WORK, ETC.

    I do not need them to send out their roofer as I already had 2 other roofing companies look at the roof.  The pictures they showed are of previous roof damage and this is not where the squirrel(s) are getting in.  The roofing company I have is already contracted to fix the other spot.  Their Field Supervisor would not even look at after I told him twice where they had identified the entry points.  If no other resolution can be reached to void my warranty and refund 1/2 the money I paid I am fine with proceeding on my own. I would like my review to stay on the BBB site as a notice for future customers NOT to purchase the lifetime warranty.   No further action from this company is necessary.

    *********************** wood was solid. I contacted **** on 1/13/2023 and told him the results of their inspection and he came right over to look again. He again went right to the original location and told me the roofers were wrong and to call another roofer. The terms of the contract are that he is supposed to get rid of any rodent issue I was having and for a second time never offered a reasonable solution. Not only that, but he became very argumentative towards me and this resulted in a very unprofessional confrontation. He told me that he would refund my money after he threw insulation from under roof all over the lanai deck. My husband heard this entire interaction from inside the house as it got a bit loud. He did tell me that he would refund my money and I told him that the warranty was basically useless to the consumer at this point. I saw a $150 credit on then my credit card, but would like a refund of of the original warranty price ($695) as I am willing to pay for the initial effort that they made to secure opening on the house. If nothing is financially resolved thru the BBB at the very least I would like consumers to know NOT to purchase the lifetime warranty from this company.     Thank you again for your business, our response is as follows:

    The attached photos show the hole(s) in the homes roof decking underneath the tiles. These photos are from two separate visits and were taken by our Field Manager. With the customer watching, he did in fact reach down from the roof into the attic and and pull up some insulation to show the customer the extent of the problem. He did also ask the the customer and her husband if they would like to come up on the roof to view the problem at that time. We would be happy to meet an alternate roofing company on site to show them where the hole(s) are.

    We did not recommend "our roofer" as we do not have one that we refer. We are simply stating that the homeowner needs to find a roofer capable finding and repairing the hole(s) in the roof deck of the home. ( pictures of hole on previous reply )

    Further clarification: The work we did is under warranty for the specified time period. The problem area ( and animal entry point) is a structural issue that is outside of our scope of work - we did not estimate or sell it, nor exclude it, therefor we do not warranty it. This is the decking from either when the home was originally built or decking replaced at the time of a reroof.

    Thank you for your business and again, as I mentioned on the phone, we would be happy to meet the roofer out there and show them which tiles the holes are under.

    I am rejecting this response because:  I had the roof repaired today by a 3rd roofing company who fixed the rea where the squirrels were getting in. This is the same area that I showed **** twice and he didn't even acknowldedeg it could be a possibility. While I don't dispute that their is a hole as shown in their pics (which I also repaired today)  it was old damage and not the entry point I wanted traps put at. 

     I no longer want to do business with this company, so please close this complaint out but leave my review active.
