      My homebound mother, 86 years old, has been with LifeForce Healthcare for the past two years. Overall, my family and I have have been extremely satisfied with their services. However, there is a lack of communication on their part. I have sent them several emails re: specific concerns/healthcare related questions regarding my mother to which there is no response or acknowledgement of the correspondence. For example, on three separate occasions, my mother was not contacted regarding results of recent lab testing; however, when her pharmacy called to let her know that a prescription for her new infection was ready for pick up, this is how she was made "aware" of her recent lab results. This has happened again, since Christmas. My mother was hospitalized from 12/25 to 12/28. She was told to get bloodwork done on 1/2 and to have a hospital follow visit in two weeks. I left an email on 12/31 indicating such. I called several times over the first week in January to ask to speak to my mother's nurse practitioner. I was told someone would get back to me. I called on 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, & 1/6 to get lab results & set up an appointment. Nobody ever contacted me. One of their front office staff was very rude when I called on 1/2. When I called on 1/6, I was asked why I was calling repeatedly for the same thing. My response was that nobody was communicating to me or answering my questions about my mother's on-going healthcare needs. I was told by a lay person that my mother's recent lab results "showed nothing abnormal," but that a provider would have to review specifics about them to me. I found out late afternoon Friday 1/6 that LifeForce is going to be "discharging" my mother from their services/care. My mother's medical social worker informed me of this as LifeForce informed her directly on that date. I have yet to receive my mother's lab results. I have yet to hear from a practitioner regarding this information. This seems very unethical and negligent.
