We have checked the account. On 07/07/2025 Mr. ****** ****** made a deposit for $2000 not $4000 as it is indicated in the complaint. The account was activated and the client made several bids. But he was out bid. We have never received any deposit refund request or complaint from the client. We have refunded the full deposit of $2000 to the **** debit card from which the deposit was paid. I requested a refund Monday when I did not purchase the vehicle.
This organization does not sale cars and only offers views of other legitimate auctions and take high deposits they don't want to return.
SCA is in violation of their own written policy to return deposits within 72 ******** this point.
They are in possession of funds they did not earn!
SCA needs to send my $ 2000 back as soon as possible.

Hello! The client made a deposit on Jul 7, 2025, 7:04 AM and we refunded it on Jul 8, 2025, 11:23 AM. The client had never contacted us about the refund or any issues with the service. He preferred to make a complaint. We made a refund even faster than 72hours. But the refund is not an immediate transaction. It may take 5-10 business days for funds to settle depending on the card company's financial cycle. It is a common banking process which does not depend on us and we cannot influence it.
The ARN numbers are provided by the client's bank as a confirmation of the transaction.

Company: SCA Auctions Location: ****************************************************** On May 29, 2025I paid SCA Auctions a $1,199.00 auction fee to bid on a 2003 **** E-450 minibus they advertised as Ready for Sale. After receiving my payment, the vehicle was removed or blocked, and I was unable to bid. I was misled into paying for a service that was not provided. SCA has refused to issue a refund. I made the purchase on 04/25/2025. M husband and I are looking for a vehicle. Something cheap that gets you from point A to B. We found a vehicle that we had faith in buying on this website. The selling price was for $1,000. We took screenshots of every window that popped up on our screen trying to purchase this vehicle. As I stated before, this vehicle was listed for $1,000. We were prepared to pay any additional fees as we did read the terms and conditions and they stated that it would be a $299 fee and that was all. We also saw that we needed to have the vehicle towed which we were fine with. But then we received an invoice to pay an additional $2,500 for the vehicle. We were also being charged membership fees, which we did not authorize. We did the basic membership, which is free according to their website. This website does not deal with ***. I have called and confirmed. This website is a scam. I will not be paying no $2,000 cancellation fee. I will not be paying no $2500 on top of the thousand I already paid. I do not care if this company answers to this complaint. My issue with this company has not been resolved. I am putting this up here for other buyers to beware of this company. Im sure others may have had positive outcomes but the more I learned about this the more I realize those positive outcomes are very very rare. DO NOT fall for this companies promises. They fight you at every step of the way. And as I said to the lady I spoke with, your websites does not have a disclaimer about the additional fees like a membership fee. They will not give refunds and they are rude. I hope this helps anyone who is thinking about dealing with this company. Again to the company, I don't want to hear it. Hello! We have checked your account. You purchased 2003 CHEVROLET AVALANCHE 1500 using Buy now price which was $1000. And the fees where charged on the top of this amount. So the final invoice $2153 includint the transaction fee $299, documentation fee $199 and auction fee $655. The fee calculator shows the correct final amount. SCA AUCTION IS FRAUDULENT AND UNETHICAL! I paid a deposit of $1000.00 that was supposed to be 100% refundable. It would not go toward the purchase of the vehicle. I bid and won. I requested my deposit be refunded the next day. I needed this $1000.00 to pay for the vehicle!! I purposely kept my cost under $1000.00!! This vehicle was for my 16yo son, not wanting to spend a ton on his 1st car. I had used the "final price calculator" (example included) and it calculated the estimate just under $1000.00. (Side note: fishy when bidding, it will show 0 bids then you enter your bid and coincidentally you're immediately out bid) The calculator showed: if my final bid is:$100.00 then my documentation fee is: $199.00, my transaction fee is: $299.00 and my auction fee is: $385.00 for a total of $983.00. This is what I expected my total to be roughly. I waited on my deposit to be refunded so I can pay them via bank wire to transfer. Not sure why I have to get my money back to turn around and pay it back to them in a more difficult way?? Then I get my invoice(included doc)and it reads that my winning bid + auction fee=$977.00 plus documentation fee $199.00, plus transaction fee $299.00 totaling $1475.00. I'm being charged twice!Those fees were included in the $977.00!Then I find out my vehicle can only be picked up via a shipping service. My bill is now $1945.00 their shipping service cost is $470.00. They're also adding on daily storage fees.Jacking up my bill until I'm screwed.They kept my $1000.00 deposit and now say I owe them $1000.00 more for reneging!!!How can they keep my $1000.00 saying I have to pay my balance in full to get it back while double charging me, billing me for shipping then saying I reneged so they're keeping my $1000.00 and I owe them $1000.00 more?????? Hello! We have checked your account. You purchased the 2011 ****** Altima using Buy now price which was $475. And the fees where charged on the top of this amount. So the final invoice $1475 was correct. You did not win it for $100. The fee calculator shows the correct final amount.
In regards to the Security deposit. According to the terms and conditions the security deposit is 100% refundable. You may request a refund any time if there are no outstanding balances or unpicked-up won vehicles at an auction facility.

We require the Security deposit because in case the client fails to pay for the won item the Renege fee will be charged. The renege fee is $2000 or 30% of the winning bid whatever is higher. That is why the vehicle should be paid by a conventional bank wire transfer ( to avoid any disputes or recalls after the vehicle pick up) and picked up from the auction, than the deposit will be refunded in full.
So we cannot refund the deposit and than hope that client will pay for the vehicle in full and not just disappear.

We checked the account. You are right, that the deposit cannot be used to cover any transaction. The security deposit can be refunded only when there is no open balance or current bids on the account. It is indicated in the terms and conditions and FAQS. You are right, that the deposit cannot be used to cover any transaction. We charge it to activate the account and use it in case the client failed to pay for the won item or relisting fee.
In regards to the vehicle cost. The final bid amount was $525, not $100. The auction fees depend on the winning bid. It is kind of percentage. The invoice was correct.
We acted in accordance to the terms and conditions that you accepted upon the registration. The whole buying process and the steps are described in the terms and conditions and FAQs.

The buying process and the fees are described in the Terms and Conditions that you read and accepted upon the registration. The security deposit activate your account and allows you to bid. The deposit is completely refundable when the won item is paid in full and picked up. The deposit cannot be used to cover any transaction. According to the terms and conditions our company do not accept checks as a payment for the vehicle or security deposit. When you sent us the confirmation of the deposit payment,we asked you the same day to stop the check and make a deposit by card, zelle or wire transfer as it will take time to verify the check and also the refund of the deposit will take more time. You refused to do so. We informed you that the check should be checked and the funds should sit on the bank account. You requested a refund of the deposit. I bought this car as a buy now on SCA website. After viewing the final bill with inflated auction fee and other fees I called the yard where the vehicle is stored. They informed me that the vehicle does not run nor has it since its arrival last month. The description from SCA does not state that. I am rejecting this response because: on the screen_20250307-141146.png that I submitted with the original compliant, it clearly states that the start code: starts. According to the definition of that start code that I retrieved from your website, Starts: The auction location confirmed that upon arrival at the auction location facility the vehicle started with or without a jump.I called the location that the vehicle is stored at and the person answering the telephone advised me the car had been there close to a month and did not start upon arrival.
Failure to disclose this information makes the invoice and sale null and void. At this point I would like SCA Auctions to consider our sales agreement null and void. They owe me nothing and I owe them nothing.

We have checked the sreenshots you attached. The stock on your screenshot is 41700496 with the *** *********. This item may be have a Start Code Start.
But you purchased another item. The stock you purchased is 41518290 ******636167. And it was advertised witht the Start Code Stationary. There were no misadvertising from our side.
You still can pay for the won item and pick it up. Or you can cancel the purchase in accordance to the Terms and conditions.
5.5.Relisting & Sale Cancelation Fees: In the event that the full payment(s) for the vehicle(s) is not received within five (5) calendar days, we may, in our sole and exclusive discretion, cancel the sale and relist the vehicle(s). Members shall be responsible for the payment of a Relisting Fee of Two Thousand

I am rejecting this response because: the information is incorrect or has been changed. I have the proper documentation on the vehicle in question. On the date that I was inquiring about cars the listing stated that vehicle was listed as starting.I'm not purchasing this vehicle and I am not submitting any wire transfer. There are many things that were not disclosed to me prior to the sale. Had I known the vehicle was inoperable I would have never agreed to the sale.
Again, I would like the transaction between myself and SCA to be dissolved and I owe you nothing and you owe me nothing.

I bid on a vehicle with SCA auction but they kept adding additional fees on top of the bid and the fees that were already charged. They also changed the terms of when the payment was due and started charging me storage fees early. In addition to all that they tried to force me to buy two vehicles even when I was not confirmed to have even won both auctions until after they decided. The deposit you give them wont be used toward the vehicle and you're not allowed to inspect the vehicles before confirming the deal. Additionally, the vehicle reporting website that comes with the vehicle does not provide accurate information. They sold me a truck yet couldn't even verify that it did not have a lien on the title. To start with, on the top of the bid amount/I-Buy-Fast price there are 3 auction fees applied: documentation, transaction and auction house fees (they depend on your bid amount). All customers can always use this calculator for checking the total cost before the purchase is made: ******************************************************
Once the vehicle is bought, buyers have two to five business days, including the day of sale, to have it picked up from the auction lot by a licensed and insured transportation provider. If the vehicle is not picked up in this time frame, a storage fee of $50 per day will be due. The allotted pick-up time depends on the auction facility. The customer purchased a vehicle at Manchester auction yard which allows the day vehicle was awarded + 4 days for pickup. The terms stay strict and were last updated on January 17, 2024.
Security deposits may not be used to pay for vehicles or shipping costs. However, security deposits are 100% refundable if there are no outstanding balances or unpicked-up won vehicles at an auction facility.

1. Vehicle preview is available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time the day before the scheduled auction for active Premier members. The buyer was activated on Feb 14 and the vehicles were purchased on *** 19 at ********** (**) auction yard. Preview is held every Tuesday and there was no issue to go in person and see the cars. 2. If the vehicle possesses any liens, such information will be disclosed in the vehicle description. We have verified with the auction branch manager, who confirmed that there are NO LIENS associated with the car in question.
