To date, I have paid a total of $17,250 for a used lift and dock that does not meet code. When the company started the work they used a pump to jet the pilings in. not a Barge with a pile driver as is required. 1. When we raised a concern about jetting in the pilings Rick originally told me not to worry, they will go down 6 ft. (They did not) they are in about 1-2 feet. 2. Rick then tried to find a barge to pound them in but could not, so he kept building with the pilings only going in 1-2ft (This does not meet code) 3. When the lift done it was so unstable Rick presented me with a solution to build a "table" dock on the outside. He charged me another $2300 for that 4. Upon completion on Jan 26th, I told the workers the dock was unacceptable. It was and still is very wobbly 5. I texted Rich a video of how wobbly it is. He blamed me for shaking the dock! 6. I had to install the safety ladder myself and I had to buy painting supplies and seal the decking myself. 7. During the lift and dock construction, I have kept all the Text messages to/from Rich Per Cape Coral Code of Ordinances Per Section https://library.municode.com/fl/cape_coral/codes/code_of_ordinances?nodeId=ART5DEST_CH4MAIM_S5.4.10COST 5.4.10 section N Except as otherwise provided herein, all pilings within six feet of the seawall face shall be driven a minimum of four feet into the submerged bottom of the waterway.
