It appears that a temporary employee verified our address on a postcard in 2016. The signature does not match any signature in our file and does not even appear to be the correct name. The postcard specifically states on the bottom that this is "not a bill, invoice or statement of account due". It further states, "You are under no obligation to make any payments on account of this offer unless you accept this offer." No one accepted any offer at any time. We continue to receive random invoices for various amounts due. We have never paid any of the invoices. This is a scam and we wish Yellow Pages United would stop sending false invoices to our business.Business response

Yellow Pages United (“YPU”) are in receipt of this inquiry ***** ********* ********* *** ******** ****** ****** * ******* *** ********
YPU respectfully disagrees with RMD's statements regarding its business practices.
YPU's order form, which was signed and returned to YPU to initiate services, clearly listed the cost for service as well as the type of service to be provided, and explained that accounts continue to renew absent a cancellation request. The form also explained that YPU is an independent listing provider, not affiliated with any other yellow pages companies.
YPU provides valuable national listing services for its customers, including an online business directory and a customizable business webpage. Additionally, YPU’s business practices meet or exceed all state and federal guidelines and YPU complies with all laws applicable to its business.
Shortly after YPU received RMD's signed order, and after YPU began providing it’s listing services to RMD, YPU began sending invoices to RMD for the services that were ordered. As stated in YPU's terms, RMD's account continued to renew absent a cancellation request. RMD never contacted YPU to request a cancellation of their account and this inquiry from the NEFL BBB is the first that YPU has learned of their dissatisfaction.
Upon receipt of this inquiry and per RMD's request, YPU has cancelled RMD's account with a zero balance remaining and has placed their business information on its internal Do Not Mail list.
RMD's account with YPU is now closed and no funds are owed to YPU from RMD.

I never signed up for this package the only thing I did do is sign that I had a address change. Yellow pages united is predatory in their billing. They send out what looks like an invoice to be paid, which they then use a continuing contract to bill monthly. Their service was not sought after, was not wanted (seriously, who uses Yellow pages for advertising any more?) and they continue to bill me for services they fraudulently acquired by sneaky methods. They are currently trying to bill my business - ************ ** ***** - for ongoing services I did not want and was tricked into purchasing by their method of sending what appeared to be a bill. I made initial payment on that bill having used them years ago. My mistake paying them once. Since then I get billing for a service I did not want and do not want. I do not do yellow page advertising and have not done so for years, opting for online and social media platforms. They state they will continue to bill me for services that I don't want and didn't ask for due to their deceitful practices. I would like them to write off the fraudulent account balance and stop bothering me forever. If they send another billing statement I will follow up with another complaint and repeat until they stop.Business response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I disagree with their comment that they are not deceptive in their marketing. Their B rating with BBB and the prompt response indicates otherwise. This is a common complaint leveled against them that they are used to resolving in the same manner. I will be pleased to get no further communication from them.
Regards,****** *****
