    This was hands down the most disrespectful, disappointing and worst birthday experience I've ever endured. Despite booking a reservation at the ************ well in advance before my special day 3/16/24, the staff at the ****** club seemed utterly clueless with our arrival, as if our reservation was an inconvenience and they were unaware. They seated us at a table so haphazardly placed, I had to insist we be moveddespite specifically requesting a prime location in my reservation notes. To add insult to injury, we witnessed the grand spectacle of a cake presentation and singing for another customer, yet when it was my turn, they the nothingness and ignorance displayed about my special occasion not once, but twice. The so-called 'celebratory' offering they brought to our table? a **** pitiful sea shell and a tiny piece of a hastened cake, topped with whipped cream, and a random a** pink candle. This night was nothing short of an insult. Despite my explicit notification days in advance that I was driving an hour to celebrate my birthday here, and the notes in the reservation! They couldn't be bothered to prepare for my tables arrival and my special celebration! No effort. No song, no special birthday pudding or cake, not even a hint of acknowledgment that this was supposed to be a memorable occasion. To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. I wouldn't set foot in this **** place again if my life depended on it, and I certainly wouldn't wish this experience upon my another person. Do yourself a favor and take your special day elsewhere. Honestly, anywhere but here. This place wouldn't know how to make a celebration special if it slapped them in the face.

    We are sorry to hear you felt disappointed, but are baffled by the vitriol expressed in your review. We were well aware of your reservation and your birthday and don't have any "haphazardly placed" tables in our establishment. The cake you received is the same one presented to all of our guests celebrating birthdays with us, and most find our handmade celebratory oyster shells charming. If you witnessed a different cake and singing at another table, the guests must have brought their own cake and sung themselves, as this is simply not something we do. We go out of our way to provide excellent food and service to each and every one of our guests and regret that your experience didn't live up to your expectations.

    Firstly, it was quite evident that your employees were not aware of my reservation. When we arrived and informed them about it, the hostesses appeared puzzled. They also took a while to seat us, and they did not seat us where I had expected, as I had expressed my preferences in the reservation notes. Secondly, I was disappointed with the presentation of the cake, as it looked rushed and unappealing. Furthermore, I never mentioned to any of your staff that we wanted to "relax after our meal," as you mentioned in your response on OpenTable. I'm guessing that was what was told as an excuse from your staff as to why I did not initially receive a cake, but that was not the case either. We had to let them (more than one staff) know as they clearly were not aware. The fact that I have to reiterate, because you and whoever there in ****** don't even have the decency to be genuine, is another disappointment within itself. My guest and I never discussed such a request, but that's neither here nor there. I was a first-time customer and traveled a long way to celebrate my special day at your establishment. Unfortunately, the experience was not up to my expectations, and I felt let down. I was hoping for a memorable experience, but instead, I was left with a sense of disappointment and letdown. To make it worse, both responses - the first and the second - lack sincerity and come across as unapologetic, though you tried to use the words "we are sorry". I don't know who typed/copied and pasted this response on behalf of the establishment, but I highly advise that you not do this once more, as it does not give off the impression that you actually care about a situation that you've been faulty on.
