Every day since we came to Majestic Sun 213B 6/11-6/16 (today) we have found one or more roaches. We have called the management company Seascape and have not heard back. I've texted, emailed the management as well. I had to get traps and spray and am still finding them. I have pictures and my correspondence to the management company. I've told the front desk and they have said the units are owned by diff independent companies. We traveled from 9 hours away. We paid almost 1000 more this year than we normally do for this size unit due to inflation. We are requesting a refund at this point. We are leaving 6/17.

My wife and I have been staying in Seascape for the winter since 2017. We have used Seascape rentals management to secure condos. During this time, the condo we reserve is typically not where we stayed, This year was no exception. In January 2021, we reserved a condo from January 1 through March 4th, 2022. In November, the office notified us that the condo we reserved was not available. We were assigned to a different condo. This condo needed some repairs. We had been in the condo 4 days and the office called and told us we had to move immediately. The employee should not have put us in the condo because it was not pet-friendly. We were told the employee was fired. There was a condo we could move to, but it was only available until the end of January. We had a reservation until March 4th. I suggested that they search for condos with other companies and pay the difference. They were going to check with the manager. We were called later and told a tennis village condo was going to be available. This unit was small, and the condition was not acceptable. We located other rental agencies on our own and found the original condo we had reserved though Seascape for the month of February for a slightly higher price. From our standpoint, Seascape's employee made an error, and we were penalized for their mistake. They handled this situation unprofessionally. We will not be using their services in the future.

The information provided above is not reflective of the actual situation and does not reflect the entire story. The guests were allowed to remain in the unit they were staying in - but a 2nd condo was provided for FREE so that their pet was able to stay - and they were given the opportunity to either move with the pet to the new unit - or remain in their unit but the pet would have to remain in the pet friendly unit at all times - that again was provided free of charge. Yes, a human error was made - when a former owner who allowed pets sold the unit and the new owners that purchased did not permit pets. However the situation was addressed with a completely complimentary opportunity - which the guest gladly accepted a 2nd condo for FREE for their stay. I'd also like to address the reference that the condo they rented was available at a higher rate. If they are referring to the very first unit before they were moved to a different condo - it is because their original unit sold - and was no longer on OUR rental program - and we legally can not rent a property that is not under contract with us. What others charge is also out of our control - as we can only control properties we manage. If they are referring to the unit they were moved into - it definitely could not have been viewed for a more expensive price - because they were in the unit. All being said, the property gave the guests 2 units, the one they paid for, plus a free pet friendly unit for their animal. There is nothing further that reasonably could have been done - and given the guests took both units for over 2 months and waited until a month after departure to bring it up again demonstrates the lack of truth on this matter.

Obviously, the business has a distorted view of the facts.

We were charged rent for a condo for the month of January. We were told we had to move because of the pet issue. We completely moved from the first condo to the second the day they notified us. There was no mention of the putting the pet in one condo while we stay in another. This was a replacement condo. I checked with their office at the end of January to cancel the February contract. They advised me that is had already been cancelled.

The owners of the second unit were arriving February 1st. We moved to the third condo that we rented through another agency.
For the record, the unit we originally reserved was not sold, the owners changed rental companies.

Facts are that we paid for one month through Seascape and we stayed in one condo for a few days and moved to another for the rest of the month.

The business needs to get their facts straight before they accuse someone of demonstrating the lack of truth.

I am not seeking any retribution from the business. I felt the need to do a review to for others to see. Based on their response, it is justified.

We regret your continued frustration and while unit ownership changes occurred that impacted your stay, you were still in fact able to enjoy your stay at Seascape. Again, unfortunately, when units change ownership - we must abide by individual owners policies and expectations. Each home/condo is individually owned - and unfortunately - this is a common situation (ownership changes and therefore unit policy changes) - but we always try to work with guests when this happens. This is why multiple unit options are provided - however pet friendly units are limited as the majority of HOA policies do not permit pets for animals. This limits the ability to account for additional options. While the back up options did not work for you - we are glad the situation worked out and you were in fact able to take and enjoy your entire snowbird getaway.
