End of December 2023, Based on an internet ad, I contacted the listing number and Mr. **** ******* set up a visit for an estimated quote for windows replacement. We spoke on the phone, he confirmed that he had completed many jobs in my area and all his clients applied and received $10,000. grant from the city of ******* Home Improvement Program. He promised to guide me in applying for a loan. He came, analyzing the work and gave me a verbal estimate. He called *****, apparently a lender, who told me about a loan to cover the balance. I used the information he provided to apply for the loan on the first available date on January 7, 2024. **** emailed the Quote on January 1st, that was the document he promised to submit to the city with my application. On the same day, he wanted to schedule work and I told him that " I will not commit to the job, until I received the city approval to my application. He called a couple of times pressuring me to start the job before that. I resisted and told him I had to wait. He also have Mr. **** ******** trying to convince me that I will have until next year to start payment if they do the work. I declined and thank them. In June 2024, I was contacted by Upgrade servicing requesting payment in the amount of $6,952.50 resulting of Upgrade withdrawing a monthly $90.70 from my account. **** required my information in order to provide me with the quote. He has never done any work for me or either returning to my place after the first contact. My windows were done by ********** last October. I tried to communicate with Upgrade, they are asking for more personal information. Upgrade Servicing ************, email: Upgradeservicing@upgrade. com, or *********************** In addition, I forwarded latest email to ******************** they are returned as undelivered and both phone numbers I have for **** do not work. at 73 years old, I have no more stamina to find ***** like **** . I hope you can help me in resolving this.Customer Answer

I appreciate very much your prompt action and assistance in trying to resolve my issues. I am wondering if the complaint was also forwarded to Upgrade. That is the lender selected by Alco windows and Doors and disbursed money apparently on my behalf even when I called and send them an email informing them that I was not going to commit to schedule any work until I received an approval from the city of *******. Now they are asking me to reimburse more than $6.900.00 plus for services that I decline and they did not perform.
Once again, I sincerely thank you.

In November 2023, we had an amazing sales person helping us with our Impact Windows and doors. He made it seem so wonderful and inexpensive. Based on the price we took a loan with *****. They promised they will take about three months for us to start the process. As I was checking monthly after the third month, their excuse wasthat he was in backorder. In November 2024, I was contacted by a sheriff. Letting me know that everything was a fraud and that I file. I called my loan company and unfortunately, they said they cannot do anything about it because they got paid. So I am very upset I didnt get my windows and doors yet. I still have to pay a monthly fee for something I never received to the loan company. ALCO windows and doors not only got my hopes up, but also stole my money. Originally it was gonna be $80 a month and it went up to 200monthly. I called the company emailed and no response. Even try communicating with the sales person. Which he said he was gonna call me back and he never did. He also mentioned that a lot of the sales people left and never got paid. The first thing that got me to think about was a letter I got from the subcontractor saying they never paid them. Yet I never got any job done in my house. I filed a police report. Now Im trying to figure it out what else needs to be done. And see if I can hopefully get a refund. Or at least stop payment on my loan. I got a lot of proof on my emails.Initial Complaint

We made a contract with Alco Windows and Doors to install Impact Windows and Doors on our house. A representative by the name of ******* ********, came to the house on May 27th, 2024. The entire project was going to cost $20,601.00, they asked for 50% in upfront payment ($10,300.50). We signed a contract and paid the $10,300.50.I was told the project would be completed in 4 months. 1 month later, someone from the company came to house to get measures. 4 months passed, and no progress was done after that. No windows were installed, no one came to the house after that, no one contacted us. After September of 2024, we called several times over a time frame of 3 months and spoke with a representative named ***** ********, and every time we were told she would contact the sales department to see what was happening with our order. We even called the owner, **** *******, and did not get an answer from him.We never got an answer or a returned call. In November we called again, and this time we didn't get anyone to pick up the phone. So we looked at the company's website, it was permanently closed. They did NOT fulfill their end of the contract. We have NOT been refunded our $10,300.50. We have NO method of getting in touch with the company. They essentially took our money and ran. All we want is our deposit back.Initial Complaint

On October 24, 2023 my late husband and I (**** and ******** *******) signed a contract to have our windows and doors done at our apartment at *******, a 55+ communities. We, along with other neighbors met with a representative for the Alco Windows and Doors LLC (out of *****, **). The total for the windows was $15,000 (for six windows). Per the contract the work was to start in April or May 2024. I lost my husband in April and wasn't focused. I attempted to find out what was going on with the work, but the Wynmoor building department said they had submitted something wrong. When I got in contact with **** they said they were waiting and had submitted everything. Then in October a neighbor found out that there was a criminal investigation against Alco. I requested my contract from ****** and got it in December, so now I am attempting to make a complaint on **** because they took my money and never started the work. I had Wynmoor cancel the contract as we get through this.Initial Complaint

On 6/7/24- ALCO Windows and Doors completed the Hurricane Impact Window installation and touch-up process. On 8/30/24- Alco Windows and Doors failed the inspection with the City of ***** regarding the Terrace - Double Doors Hurricane Impact Windows. I was told on that date by the City of Miami Inspector and Alco Windows and Doors worker present at the Inspection that I would be contacted by Alco Windows and Doors regarding the failed inspection. The correct design pressure should read +120 -140. Instead the label read +70 -140 on both terrace sliding doors.9/19/24-I requested an update from Alco Windows and Doors. On 9/19/24-Alco Windows and Doors stated they were waiting for the manufacturer to provide the revised glass sticker so they can schedule the next inspection and will keep me posted. On 9/19/24- I replied by stating the wrong sticker/label is on both of the terrace doors. How can we determine whether or not the label is correct and the company mistakenly manufactured both doors to match the sticker/label specifications or the label is incorrect and the company manufactured the doors at a higher strength/correct specification? I would need both doors tested and verified it matches the correct specifications. Please give me an update. How and when is ALCO Window and Doors going to resolve this problem?11/24-12/24-I have called several times and left messages. I have sent several e-mails. No response from phone calls or e-mails. .Initial Complaint

I signed a contract with Alco Windows and Doors on 2-1-2024 to have impact windows and doors installed within 6 months at the latest. I took out a $25,000 loan with Momnt (correct spelling of finance company) of the total $30,000 cost and still have not had my order installed as of today, 12-20-2024. Since the loan is in my name, I am responsible to pay it, but Momnt sent **** the money right away. I have e-mailed and called Alco several times asking when my order will be received and installed and ***** ******** at Alco keeps telling me the date has been pushed back one more month with no explanation. They have long ago breached the contract agreement and I still have not received an install date. I have always been the one reaching out to them for information; they do not contact me. I had to pay an additional $3,800 of insurance because they did not install my windows and doors by the time my insurance renewal was due in mid-August. Today I received a call from the ************************ informing me this is another Alco fraud case and I need to get a lawyer. The call came from ************ and a Detective Rigs will be calling me back in a few days. The detective that called me was filling in for Detective Rigs and told me to make a complaint at ************************. The BBB has Alco rated as an A+ and that is one of the reasons I chose them. Please contact this company immediately as the detective told me there is a list of people in ************** ** that have complained about not receiving their order from Alco Windows and Doors.Initial Complaint

Signed a contract with **** IN MAY 24. Paid a down payment of ******** through a line of credit will a third party that **** recommended. Last heard from **** IN late Oct, and they could not provide a date for installation. I asked for a refund of the down payment, and have not heard from them since. For the number of complaints I have seen on BBB, it appears **** has shut down! So not what? How do I get my $ back?
