I was referred to South Beach Experience from a friend. I was looking to rent a yacht for January 27, ****, for 4 hours. I was told the price for the yacht would be $1750 and that I would need to put down a deposit 50% of the total cost in order to secure my spot. I sent the deposit on January 4, ****, in the amount of $875. I then asked for the deposit back about 3 hours after sending it as I no longer needed their services and found a different company that I wanted to rent the yacht from. When I asked for the deposit back I was told that my deposit would be penalized because they missed out on 3 other bookings as a result of my booking. I told them that it does not state anywhere on the website that a deposit is non refundable or subject to penalty, and that they needed to return my entire deposit. I then was told that I wouldn't be receiving my deposit back at all until someone else booked the yacht. I told them that if my deposit was not returned I would be taking legal action, and I would be reporting their business. I was then told that I would have my deposit back by Friday, January 12th. January 12th came, and they never sent my money back.
