I initially contacted the business through an online app about a 2006 ****** I wanted to buy. After arranging transportation from *********** to ***** on 4/28/25 I contacted the dealership directly to verify the vehicle was not sold as I did not want to waste a trip. I was told it had sold a couple days ago. 5/19/25 I am contacted by the dealership (via automated text) asking if I am still interested in the vehicle. When I call, I am told it is available and to come down. When I inquire about the legitimacy of it actually being available l, I am asked to call back in 2 minutes but no one answered.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:Read my original comolaint. I was told on 4/28/25 that the vehicle was sold. I was contacted again (5/19/25) about my interest in this vehicle, When I called (5/19/25), I was told it is still available. That is 22 days after I was initially told it was sold. Your response states that it takes a couple or few days to remove the add. This bait-and-switch tactic is unethical. According to the ****** provided in your website, this vehicle was purchased on 3/29/2025 and the title was issued on 4/7/2025. That is over 6 weeks ago so your BS excuse about waiting on a third party does not check out. Fix yourself

I purchased this vehicle from Key Deer Motors LLC. They did not disclose that it is not safe to drive or that it has an accident history or that it has a modified muffler. They also changed the wheels they sold me after the agreement. It is not safe to drive because it has emissions problems, the electrical is malfunctioning including braking. The seat belts on the back seat have been cut.Business Response

I purchased a 2018 ****** Altima as is from Key Deer Motors on 3/21/25 as I was guaranteed the vehicle had no mechanical issues, only minor cosmetic with the interior. I discovered on the same day while driving the car from the dealership there was some jerking, the car was tested by a mechanic on 3/24/25 and found to have major transmission issues that would require replacement, the vehicle is unable to be driven as it has an extended delay when going into reverse and drive . I contacted the dealer and left the car at the dealership as it could not be driven back home . They then offered a trade in but had no suitable vehicle, and promised to get one within 48 hours. After 48 hours they still had no vehicles and it was found that they were not truthful about the vehicle condition as well as the finance contract by misrepresentating credit score and income, I then requested a refund from the manager but he refuses to acknowledge the unethical ways in which they sold the car and continues to insist on a trade in without knowing when they will get a vehicle or discussing my request for a refund. I also reached out the finance company ******************** but was hung up by there representative, I have tried serval times since to contact them with no success.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:
On 3/21/25 I purchased a 2018 ****** altima from Key Deer Motors, while driving home, the car started to labor. The next day 3/22/25 the vehicle delayed switching into reverse and drive, on Monday 3/24/25, the vehicle was taken to a mechanic who's scan revealed that the transmission was bad, please see attached.
On Tuesday 3/25/25, while returning the vehicle to your dealership it stalled multiple times when switching gears, a test drive was done by the Mechanic **** who acknowledged that the issues presented were true as well as the Sales Person Hideki who also had difficulty putting the vehicle in drive. On the same day I had a meeting with the Manager **** and the Sales Person Hideki. I informed both about the condition of the vehicle which was not revealed to me prior to purchaing and requested they cancel the contract and provide a refund. I was then told that the only solution was to trade in the vehicle, they offered a replacement but none of the cars on the lot were suitable.
The Manager **** then said he would provide a replacement within ***** hours upon which he would then cancel the finance contract. After 48 hours with no further contact I reached out to **** via phone call on 3/27/25, and was told that there was no replacement yet but he would get one. Once again I requested that the contract be cancelled as I could not wait indefinitely for a replacement.
No further communication was received until 04/11/25, when I was asked via text message to come in and sign for the registration plates and transfer of title. At no time was an offer made by the dealership to have the transmission fixed or provide me with a refund. Given that the vehicle is not road worthy and it was sold under misrepentation I will not be signing for the transfer of title at this time.

While cars are sold in as-is condition, it is not appropriate to provide false information about the condition. On multiple occasions throughout the process I asked if the vehicle had any mechanical issues, i was assured that it was mechanically sound with minor cosmetic issues, I purchased the vehicle under that condition.
In regards to Key Deer Motors reaching out, I have been in communication with the dealership on multiple occasions, the most recent being May 1st in which I notified Key Deer Motors that I would not be signing the transfer of title, since the condition of the vehicle was misrepresented at the time of sale and once again requested a refund. I was again told that the bank is the owner of this unit, with no acknowledgment of the misrepresentation or further solutions provided.Initial Complaint

Hey I purchased a vehicle from key deer motors and I have been scammed , I was told their cars were proof checked for engine and transmission issues and the car I ended up buying was a ****** 2014 Sentra and I thought the car was good I test drove it and all but as soon as I left from the place about 45 minutes later the engine light came on and this was on Nov 8th 2024 , I contacted the company and was told they would look into and see if I could be accommodated for issues of that car , I wasnt off until Nov 13 and on that day when I came back I was told I couldnt replace the car I was instead told if I choose to get another vehicle I would have to put down another deposit , so now the 1200 that I put down on this vehicle has gone to waste and Im not happy about that , they lied to me and told me one thing made me purchase a car with a bad transmission , I only know of this because I went to Auto zone and the machine checked the car and printed out a paper stating the transmission assembly needed repair , I would have never purchased this vehicle if I had known the transmission had an issue but instead I was lied to by key deer motors and was told that the engine and transmission were checked and good to go , now Im being told I cant get my money back and also they cant fix the problem because the company sells cars as is . I was sold a bogus car and now this company is trying to take my money from me that I worked too hard for I have 7 month old child and I cant get to work or take him to a babysitter because I was lied to about this cars condition , I left the place on the 13th and on the highway on my way home to figure out what steps I would take next , the car broke down on me , so I cant begin to even understand why would these people sell me a car like that , yes I signed a no refund document and I understand what it means , but also what was sold to me was never a good car and thats not right at allBusiness Response

Went in to trade my car for one of there vehicles. Which they promised $7500 for my vehicle in good faith I would take there car. They told me I could leave with there vehicle and the bank would call me to get an electronic signature. They call me the next day and told me to lie to the bank about my income. I told them no. When the bank called me back I explained that I wasnt getting any other income so they denied the loan and told me to return the dealership vehicle. I called them and explained I was coming back for my car and they told me my car was sold. I drove there car back to them and left the keys with the finance *** and wanted to speak to the owner which didnt want to speak to me. I ask about my car and the sales *** said it was sold. So my car was sold and there was no trade in so I dont have a car from them and they have not paid me for my vehicle. The paperwork they have shows that the bank which is one financial bank denied the loan which means the contract now voided. I kept calling the dealership but the receptionist kept blocking my calls.Since they were ignoring my calls I three wayed called them with Geico and ************* which Is my car insurance and who I still was making payments to and the owner of the dealership called me a liar and ask them not to put me on the phone with him again. They still have my vehicle and I havent been paid and they still have there vehicle which mean there is no contact that gives them permission to sell my car.Business Response

They are manipulating the situation I went back to get my car and they told me they sold at the very next day. They are liars and they manipulate situations to benefit from the customers. Also they never paid me for my vehicle. Please ask them my written proof. This was not the agreement. They have done worse to other customers. I have read other complaints and this is horrible how they get away with so much bad doing people.

I have contacted this dealership MULTIPLE times to Refund a $500 deposit on a car I did not purchase. After the refund check was lost in the mail, they told me I had to wait a couple months before they could send a new one. After the allotted time passed that they said, when I called them, the Dealership was sold and the new owners "Know about my issue" but nothing about giving back my money! I have a receipt for the deposit I placed. The name on it is my mother's who if the sale went through, would be my cosigner.
It seems my case was lost in-between the transition of new owners.
Initially the first told me I would be able to get the refund after some time, Now the new owners are basically saying my case is not their problem and outside of their refund window. My initial correspondence with key deer motors never Said anything about a 60 day limit for the refund. Of course I am very dissatisfied with giving this dealership $500 for nothing.Business Response

AFTER A WEEK AND FOUR VISITS, multiple calls made and now no an swer, the Vendor has not issued a refund of the down $1000 payment. First it was wait until admin shows up, then multiple reasons not to have a check ready and NOW the phone is routed to an answering box. We purchased a 2016 Jaguar XF prestige vehicles VIN number is s a j b e 4bv8gcy03675 the odometer read ****** miles the car was marked for $9,9999 we found it through Carfax my husband negotiated the price to $9,000 however after he left when he checked the contract I did I noticed that they had still put $9,999 on the contract. However that is the smallest of our problems I'm going to insert a link to my ****** review so you can see a little bit more as to what happened they told us over and over again that there was nothing wrong with this vehicle it was a great vehicle the car overheated the very very day that we took it home we paid my husband paid $7,500 in cash and was financing the difference which is all mostly fees of about $4,000 the car overheated we took it after letting it cool off and put coolant in it we took it home and we called a mobile mechanic to come give it an inspection I am attaching the results of that inspection this car needs over $3,500 in work just to get it roadworthy we have called key dear several times over and over again if they answer for us they put us to the voicemail they put us on hold and put us to a voicemail or they don't answer us at all they do not return any of our phone calls at all today my husband called from a different number got them on the phone in which they hung up on hint my husband just wants them to pay for the amount of the repairs that it needed before they sold it to us oh it also has a broken windshield they won't even answer the phone for him.
