    I am writing to formally report a serious case of medical negligence and misconduct involving Modern Plastic Surgery located at ***************************************************************** and ************************* February 12th, 2025, my wife underwent an upper lid procedure at this clinic. As a direct result of this surgery, she suffered a corneal laceration and edema, which has resulted in prolonged loss of vision on her right eye. She remains under specialist care and may require a cornea transplant.Additionally, she experienced abnormal recovery from anesthesia remaining disoriented and nearly unresponsive into the second day post-op.The individuals involved- ******* **** (owner and anesthesiologist) and **** **** (clinic manager) -have shown no concern and have blamed my wife for her own injuries.Dr. ******* ********** has made no contact whatsoever, providing no follow-up or acknowledgement.I was also alarmed to discover that:-Modern Plastic Surgery does not carry malpractice insurance and Dr. ******* ********** is not listed on the clinics website, while being affiliated with various other clinics along the East Coast.I respectfully request an investigation into this facility and the conduct of all involved parties.

    However, we must respectfully dispute the claim that the care provided fell below the accepted standard. We also strongly disagree with the assertion that there was a lack of follow-up or contact from our team. Our records reflect multiple points of communication and standard post-operative support, as is consistent with our protocols.
    It is important to note that prior to undergoing any surgical procedure, all patients receive a thorough briefing on the general and specific risks involved. This is documented through the informed consent process, which each patient must review and sign. Patients are also informed that, while we strive to achieve optimal outcomes, no surgical result can be guaranteed.
    Furthermore, Modern Plastic Surgery fully complies with the insurance requirements outlined in Section *******, Florida Statutes, and related disclosures are made available to all patients prior to surgery.
    We remain committed to transparency and high standards of medical care, and we encourage your wife to reach out if she would like to schedule a follow-up consultation to review her concerns in person.
