      Paid a $250 deposit on February 19, 2025 for a mommy makeover which was originally going to be scheduled for April 2025 & changed to July 2025. I was hesitant due to all of the bad reviews and stories from patients. I reached out in March 2025 to just cancel everything and requested the $250 deposit back since I was lied to about how they operate. It is a chop shop and they do surgeries from 5am to 10pm I seen in some cases. I read of back to back assembly line cases where patients stated the surgeons go in and out of rooms between patients. I seen testimonies of patients ending up in the *** right after surgery and being wheeled out to their car when they arent even coherent. I specifically asked multiple times about me concerns and was told over and over that is all untrue and that patients just made stuff up because they were mad. I am solely requesting the $250 be refunded to me ASAP and that will settle my issues. I can finally walk away.

      Contract price change one week before surgery, told I could pay or go to another surgeon, added over 2k to use care credit say if surgery with no explanation of this prior to arriving, poor work failed muscle repair and tummy tuck left with lots of skin still. Tried to seek assistance about a revision kept getting run around no one contacts me had paid a second deposit for another surgery and asked to get a consult from another doctor for a tummy tuck yet kept getting sent back to the original doctor for a bbl. Manager did not follow up as promised

      I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my recent experience with Miami Life Plastic Surgery . I signed a contract to have a procedure performed on April 15, 2025. However, upon conducting further research, I discovered that the doctor scheduled to perform my procedure had a patient die during the same procedure I was set to undergo.Given this information, I decided to cancel the surgery and requested a full refund of the $3,000. This amount does not include the $250 deposit that I made as it was clear that THE DEPOSIT is non refundable. I was informed that I would need to wait 15 days for someone to get back to me regarding my refund. When I inquired about speaking directly with the person in charge of refunds, I was told that only an email address was available. I sent an email to that address, but I did not receive a response.I then attempted to contact the business by phone and asked to speak with the manager, *****. Unfortunately, I was abruptly hung up on during this call.This lack of communication and unprofessional conduct has left me with no confidence in the way this business is being managed, and I am concerned about the possibility of not receiving my refund. Since I requested the cancellation well over a month in advance, I believe I am entitled to a full refund, and I urge you to resolve this matter promptly.I request immediate attention to this issue and a confirmation of my refund as soon as possible.Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

      I am filing a complaint against Miami Life Plastic Surgery due to their last-minute cancellation of my surgery, which caused me significant financial losses and inconvenience. While they refunded the cost of the surgery itself, they have not reimbursed me for the expenses I incurred related to travel, preoperative care, or lost work time, nor have they taken responsibility for the distress caused by their ********** surgery was canceled just hours before it was scheduled, leaving me in a difficult situation. I had already paid for preoperative blood work, travel to Miami, hotel accommodations, and necessary medications. I also took time off work to accommodate their schedule. These expenses were non-refundable, and the sudden cancellation over a pricing issue has left me financially burdened.Leading up to the surgery, communication from Miami Life Plastic Surgery was poor and unprofessional. I struggled to get clear answers to questions about pricing, policies, and the procedure. Even after paying in full, I was informed at the last minute that additional fees would be required, which I could not have anticipated. When I questioned the pricing, they canceled my surgery instead of addressing my concerns or providing a resolution.This last-minute cancellation shows a lack of respect for patients time and money. Additionally, there were multiple complaints regarding your behavior, including repeated dissatisfaction with pricing.
      As a healthcare facility, we prioritize the safety of all our patients and staff. We also must ensure that the environment is conducive to a positive and secure experience for everyone. Given these circumstances, our team, including the attending surgeon, made the difficult decision to cancel your surgery. A full refund was promptly issued, including the non-refundable deposit, and we wished you the best in finding another surgeon who would be able to accommodate your needs.
      We do not cancel surgeries without valid, well-founded reasons, whether they are related to medical issues or concerning patient behavior. As such, we cannot offer any further refunds beyond the full cost of the surgery, which has already been processed.

      Wednesday 12/4/2024- Monday 12/9/2024 I paid $7,460 out of pocket for a Breast Lift, Breast Augmentation and Lipo 360 We were treated with disrespect, 45 mins after surgery I was yanked out of bed and then roughly dressed and yanked out of the wheelchair into the car by the recovery nurse. The only reason I can support this is my best friend parked the car and got out before I was even to the car and when rounded the car and the nurse was pushing me into the car. I am 45 mins out of major surgery I wont be getting up that fast. The massage therapist was rough with me not even 24 hours after surgery and continued till Monday 12/9/2024.I had a a woman walk into the massage room while I was completely naked and stay in the room and talk to the massage therapist, I was told its okay she got her b**** done We walked in we were NOT greeted but anyone else walking in was greeted and they were treated with respect and courtesy. We are white non threatening but anyone that walked in was either mixed, biracial or black and they were treated so much better than we were. I find this absolutely disgusting and saddening. We were not treated the same as anyone else. I am also not one to speak up but at the same time this is not how people should be treated when spending thousands of dollars out of their own pocket and having life changing surgery. I have never been to a business that treats people the way we were treated and in which this has literally ruined me mentally. I now get to go home upset over the treatment we received for Miami Life. Also, I felt violated with my privacy when it comes to HIPPA Laws. Im not sure if its the same in ******* then it is in ********* but my full government name was out for anyone to see while checking in and while in the massage room. In ********* that is a violation of our HIPPA rights and can result in a lawsuit case.

      I am rejecting this response because: this is the manager that I spoke to and that I sent that message too and she dismissed me. She wouldnt let me explain the whole story. She kept cutting me off, nor did she apologize to me on the phone. My best friend was there to witness that. 

      They say that take care of patients and that they protect HIPPA, why was my first, middle and last name not protected in the massage therapist room? Or in the lobby when we sign in, if we share the same doctors they can see our names? 

      you also say you strive for patient care which is also false. I was yanked out of the bed right after surgery and yanked out of the wheelchair and pushed into the car before my best friend could round the car. Which was literal seconds. I have zero reason to lie about how I was treated especially when I did my part and tried to reach out the managers and was dismissed. I find that extremely disrespectful when I paid so much money out of my pocket to be treated poorly. 

      I also am declining this response since I had to make the conversation every single time we walked into the clinic, the girls at the front desk didnt wanna speak to me, but anyone else that walked in that was black, biracial or mixed was greeted, treated with the upmost respect and courtesy and also taken care of before I was. I am not the only one the seems it because my best  friend witnessed it too and felt the same way. 

      This is all false information due to the fact that the only person that was respectful towards me was my surgeon. If I knew I was going to be treated poorly I would have never spent my hard earned money at this facility. Also, that everything is a process like getting my records that I needed to be released back to work, and then to be told it would take ***** days for that. Then also told I would get a call back and never did. 

      i have been nothing but treated like garbage through this place, anything I asked for was either not completed correctly or they stated they dont complete those as in forms I needed to return to work. I have gotten nothing but the run around with this facility. I was literally just number to them and they have literally shown that. I shouldnt have to jump through hoops to get what I need when you had my files wide open three weeks ago. 

      When I have called I get the bare minimum and the customer service is not good at all. ******************** life or Miami life what do you need.

      This has been nothing but a nightmare and I never deserved the treatment that I was given.

      the managers claim that they care but never ONCE apologized for any other treatment I went through. Offered me a $150 faja for the inconvenience when it isnt an inconvenience when it happened every single day we were in the facility. They do not make white people feel welcome by any means. We were nothing but respectful which doesnt give them the right to be disrespectful. Personally I feel that they wanted me to cancel so I couldnt get my money back. The girls in the front acted like we didnt matter. 

      And lastly, having someone walk into the massage room while I am **** naked and not being asked if it was okay for her to be in there, when I attempted to explain that to ****** she cut me off and said she works there, she schedules the massage appointment. Thats besides the point I was very uncomfortable with that. Again it was dismissed and she was never apologetic about it. Just kept saying she would talk to the girls 

      I feel all this information is false and it was not how I was treated and they dont take pride in how they treat there patients otherwise I wouldnt be upset and wouldnt be reaching out to the BBB for help. I again never deserved to be treated the way I was and again I was not the only one to see it. My best friend felt the same way and she didnt even have surgery.

      Of course you dont agree with what I have to say because you know that I am not wrong, you will fight me tooth and nail on this one even though I reached out to the manager to fix this and she brushed me off. That is not how a business is ran and you are continuing to brush me off and try to dismiss how I was treated when I came to you guys about it. I dont understand why you guys keep dismissing this? I am not the only one that was treated poorly. I had a witness. I refuse to let someone nor a business treat me the way you guys did when I paid so much money for work that wasnt completed. 

      As I am coming up on 7 weeks post op I am not satisfied with my results. I believe I have areas that were untouched that should have been liposuctioned since I paid for liposuction 360 including the bra rolls. In which I look the same in those areas as I did before surgery. I would have a different opinion on it if you guys showed me my before and after pictures that I asked for numerous times. I cant get anything simple as my records that I am entitled to. I asked for them and never got a call back. Seems sketchy. I would like my money back on the Lipo since it wasnt completed correctly. I was told he would take it from all the areas I was marked for, it was not done. I had to let the swelling go down before I see what I am seeing now. Whats not fair is paying my hard earned money to not get the results I was promised. 

      This has been nothing short of a nightmare for me. You would think spending so much money and being NOTHING but respectful I would get the same in return. I was nothing but a number to you guys. 

      I honestly to this day dont understand how you can treat white people so differently than other races and cultures. Its 2025 weeks are over that. White, pink, black or purple we are the same people getting the same thing and looking for the same goals.

      I booked a surgery by paying a deposit. A detrimental financial event has occurred that has made me unable to move forward with the financials of the surgery. I requested a deposit for more than 3 days and heard no response. Called the facility to speak to someone for the requested deposit refund and they said they would have someone call me back. I finally received a return call only to be told that they will not refund my deposit even though I cancelled my surgery more than 2.5 month before the date. I was never told by the coordinators that the deposit was non refundable. After looking further into the matter, there are numerous reviews about deposits being stolen/not refunded in events the participants were unable to proceed. I would like my deposit refunded and this business reported on! You cant steal peoples money!

It is only once the terms and conditions of said document have been accepted and signed, that the patient can proceed with his or her payment . 


      Meaning there is no possible way that you submit your deposit without knowing this is non-refundable and non transferable. 


      This avoids misunderstandings such as the one you are accusing us of . It is the patient's responsibility to do their due diligence and read this legally binding contract before proceeding to make a payment . There is no time limit, nor expiration on signing this contract , giving the patient ample time to read, review, discern and comprehend what they are signing . Again, no payments can be processed until all signatures are complete. 


      We understand that this oversight on your behalf is frustrating and based on the wording of your accusation it leads us to believe you signed without reading the terms and conditions , which again, have no time limit and are done at your own pace and time . This frustration has led you to  falsely accuse us of "stealing" deposits. Which again, based on this preceding explanation proves it is not the case. 


      Here is an excerpt of the contract in Section 1 ( yes the very first thing you read in the contract )  where it states about our refund policy : 


      "scheduling a procedure requires coordination of many different resources. This takes time to handle properly so that the patient will enjoy a quality experience . You acknowledge and agree upon execution of this invoice of surgical fees "the agreement", Miami Life Plastic Surgery Corp will incur certain costs and expenses in order to schedule and prepare for your procedure . As such you are required to pay Miami Life Plastic Surgery a one-time NON-REFUNDABLE and NON TRANSFERABLE deposit in the amount of $250.00 ( the "Deposit") concurrently with the execution of this agreement. You agree and acknowledge that the deposit SHALL IN NO EVENT BE REFUNDABLE, NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCES "

      Thats good. They were very sneaky about how that was presented! Left out in their communication while they push patients to sign and lock in the special price. Of course their smoke and mirrors speech would lead to verbal misrepresentation of. My absolute naive fault in trusting a shady company! Unfortunately, I know Im not the only one this has been done to, the reviews say it all. This company is shady and disgusting! It will be shouted from the rooftops! Even their over all ratings are a scam, when you look into peoples actual reviews; it paints an entirely different ************************* LEARNED NOT TO TRUST SHADY BUSINESS!

      I received plastic surgery from *************************** on sept.2022. I ended up in the hospital then to wound care. They offered me **** dollars if i didnt show it on social media. I refused the offer I wanted a full refund. I have the paperwork also. They have blocked me once I didnt take the offer. She was happy with the outcome and service and care that was provided from the staff and she decided to come back to our facility for a second procedure, a breast ???????????????????????? with silicone gel implants and simultaneous lift, with board-certified plastic surgeon ******************  Unfortunately, the patient suffered a complication: capsular contracture, a well known risk for any breast surgery that involves breast implants, ?????????? is always disclosed before undergoing said procedure. Capsular contracture is not a result of negligence or malpractice and it is neither the surgeons nor the patients fault. ???

      We spoke respectfully with ***************** about different options, we offered a revision surgery with *****************, which she rejected. We offered a different surgeon/specialist at no cost, whom she then insulted (said he was a veterinarian) and called incompetent and rejected as well. When she suggested another of our surgeons for a revision surgery we consulted with him and then offered the third surgeon for a discounted fee, but she rejected that option as well, and resorted to all sorts of threats, insults, foul language etc  The Post Op Staff at Miami Life Plastic Surgery has been in constant communication offering guidance which has been met with hostility, degrading comments, and accusations of  causing the complications intentionally to harm the patient. It was so extreme that it could be considered verbal harassment and abuse towards the staff. We will attach some examples ???

      We did not block ***************** on our social media platforms after she refused our last offer of a partial refund, but only after she started  repeatedly leaving negative and slanderous comments about *****************, accusing him of maliciously causing harm to his patients. She verbally attacked the staff at Miami Life Plastic Surgery and used foul language while we were trying to come to an agreement after an unfortunate outcome of a breast augmentation with simultaneous lift. ???

      Messages and we are citing your a pathetic worthless piece of garbage and calling the doctor a lowlife trash and more verbal abuse has been endured trying to help *****************, but we have maintained a polite and professional manner during any exchange with the patient. The verbal abuse however has escalated to harassment and slander which will not be tolerated.  Unfortunately the doctor-patient relationship has been so negatively affected by the continuous accusation and harassment. We offered extra treatments at no costs or a partial refund. Which has been met with negatives from the patient. ???

      When a patient signs his or her surgical consents, they are acknowledging the risks. She was asking for larger sums of money in order to remain quiet, further proving that she wasnt out for an amicable resolution (which as stated above we attempted numerous times), but was more so interested in a hefty financial compensation. ???

      I am rejecting this response because:
      Yes I did have some choice words due to the way I was treated. I feel like he purposely did this to me. They are trying to push me off to a dr who has no surgery background only in the military. Then I did see one surgeon who is new to that facility but has a good background. I asked about him and they said **** dollars. I did say absolutely not because I shouldnt be going through this. My breast look deformed. My breast didnt look like this prior to me coming in. As for capsule contraction I dont have. I have seen 2 other board certified surgeons they said I absolutely dont have that. If so my breast would be sitting high. My breast are saggy and chopped up. I did post on social media my experience n also on yelp to help others. I am not slandering him I am stating the facts. No one should have to go through this. I understand capsule contraction happens but this isnt the case. I think they should give me a full refund. He knows this is not ok and unethical. Its a smack in the face I am not the only one he has done this too.

      No Doctor, even less a Board-certified Plastic Surgeon with over 20 years of experience, would purposefully inflict harm on any of their patients. Accusing ***************** of ill-intent when he performs a surgery is accusing him of violating the basic standards of medical care. That is simply not the case. We have been in constant communication with the Patient and our staff, who was not involved directly with the procedure, was met with the same hostility that was directed towards ******************  Like any surgery, getting a breast lift with implants poses risks. According to our experts who have reviewed the pictures, it is a case of capsular contracture. The risks of different complications were discussed prior to signing the consent for the procedure. And we offered a revision surgery with ***************** free of charge, it makes sense to go to the same surgeon that performed your initial procedure for any revision. After a poor procedural outcome, discussing the best treatment plan moving forward with the surgeon that performed the procedure is the first option that should be explored. That option was rejected immediately. We offered a second option free of charge as we stated. But after being met with insults, threats and defamation on online outlets, we find ourselves in a position where the patient is making it difficult to help her. We have evidence of ***************** accusing ***************** of malpractice and horrible outcomes, such as giving a patient 2 belly buttons and more, claims that are completely false. On our end we have explored every option being a partial refund our last offer.
