This business is not bad, IT'S A SCAM CENTER!I bought a plane ticket at a low price.1 hour later a Fareporto rep called me with the story that I needed to pay more money to 1. bring a carry-on bag and 2. avoid a being required to arrive 3 hours early. LIES!#1 is a benefit provided on every ticket on every US airline.#2 is of no matter to your airline. It's your responsibility to arrive as necessary.******* said I would need to pay "about $40" for these automatic benefits.THAT IS FRAUD!I told ******* he was lying and that he should eliminate any in-process charge to my account. The company is using a type of bait and switch tactic on consumers. The sell you a ticket at a low price then immediately call and inform you that the ticket doesnt allow for any luggage, seat choice etc. They then tell you it is totally no refundable and that it will cost you $290 more per ticket to have these issues resolved. Per Fareporto you cannot contact the airline to resolve the issues and everything is totally non refundable. In my case this would have added almost $900 to my flight had I agreed.Initial Complaint

I purchased a round trip fair for *******. Instead of providing the round trip tickets they charged me ****** for a one way ticket then called and said they could provide a return ticket for 1100. I asked for a refund and they said it would cost me another 200. This was a deceptive practice and extortion by buying a one way ticket and expecting you to pay higher price. If they were not going to sell the tickets at that price then a 1 way ticket should not have purchased causing me problems by not having a way home now.Initial Complaint

I am awaiting a refund on an overcharge of $53.75 for a flight change on 12/2/23. I was charged $936.50 in total for a round trip from ********, ** to ********, **, but was told by management that it should have been $882.75. They have lied that my credit card was going to be credited for the $53.75 for months. Now the agent, *********************, states that it is too late to credit it now, and they'll just adjust on my next ticket (email pasted below) which I replied would never happen because I would never book thru them again. Then he asked for my bank account number and said they would "transfer" me the money. I gave him my credit card information only, and still have not seen a credit on it. They lured me in thru a "bait and switch" on their website, and have done nothing but given me the run around since that original booking on 11/26/23. I ultimately overpaid for my ticket because I did not want to lose the original $218.35 that I paid thru their website for the "great deal" that was obviously too good to be true. The minute I booked it they called to tell me that I would have no reserved seating on that flight, and could not carry on or check any baggage on that flight. Their website is just a con to lure inexperienced travelers such as myself. There have been dozens of phone calls and emails trying to get my $53.75 back, and I finally told them I was filing a complaint with the BBB. On March 3 2024 Company name: Fareporto travel ************ took my money it is a scam. I was searching for a flight ticket online and I found one with a good price posted on Fareporto. I called the number and spoke with one of the employees. His name ************************* and he told me he can make the reservation for me . He asked me for a copy of credit card front and back . The price was $898.85. He send me an email to confirm. Then he charged my credit card $801.60 Then he send me another email asking me confirm anther payment for $160.39. I confirmed it . And asked why there an extra $66.00 dollars. He said that for tax. The ticket price $898.85 included tax and all other fees luggage and personal items. I let it go . I asked for the ticket he said it takes time he send an email with booking number. Next day I received a phone call from another person from Fareporto asking me to call my bank and approve the $801.56 transaction. I told him it was done yesterday. He said just do it again if you want this ticket. I called my bank and they told me the money was already approved yesterday for $801.65 and $160.39. They got this money already. But there was another transaction done today for the same amount today. But my bank didn't approve it. And my bank informed me this suspicious activity on my account and advised me to close the account. A little while later got another phone call from another person asking me to call my bank and approve the transaction for $801.65. I told him you got the money already and I want the ticket or my money back . He hang up on me. Fareporto has processed numerous transactions in the amount of $801.65 after it has received the initial payment amount in full. My bank has confirmed that Fareporto has attempted this for at least 3 times a day for the last two days. ************ has already received its money and is holding this ticket hostage. The business advertises under Cheap Airfares. They list a price for an airline ticket that is lower than the other companies on the list. Then once you've chosen a ticket, an email is received from ******************* stating that there was a problem and he needs to speak with you right away and a ***** number is given to call.Upon calling, I was told that the flight no longer has seats for the price stated so I would need to pay $300 more to upgrade. I refused & told them to return my money because I no longer wished to purchase from them. Was told that tickets are non-refundable & again told to pay extra to upgrade to a better seat! Then I was told to wait on hold while associate checked for other options. Was then told to drive to another airport 2 hours away & pay $200 extra for a seat on that flight! On Thursday, February 29,2024 I entered a platform called cheapflights to buy two flights, one for my sister and one for my mother. On that platform there are different flight options and I chose the cheapest option in the following link:************************************** I made the purchase for $743.02 at this point everything seemed normal, then I received a call telling me that the tickets I bought had restrictions and I had to pay $345 for each one to be able to carry suitcases and I told them that I didn't understand why I had to pay that much so the agent told me he was going to contact me with his supervisor I waited in line, after several minutes I hung up and they started calling me in a more aggressive manner, telling me that the flight I had chosen was no longer available that they were going to find me another one but that I still had to pay extra, and when I said I wanted to cancel everything, they told me that they were not going to refund my money, so feeling such a pressure I continued accepting an extra charge of $514, but then they sent me some images of some flights to my email with the names of my relatives who were not even the same flight, they didn't even have a confirmation number, as I felt so unwell with this whole situation, I found on the internet a page with all the reviews of people who have been scammed for them:********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* I sent them an email to cancel everything but clearly they no longer answer emails or calls.Initial Complaint

The business put a great price airline ticket online and I clicked to get a reservation and then they call saying that price does not guarantee you a seat on the flight and you cannot bring a carry on bag the only way that you can get a guaranteed seat on the plane is to pay $880.56. I did not reply to them saying authorized they called me back a couple days later and I told them to cancel my reservation and she sounded like she said it will be a $90 fee xso I said charge me it's fine, but they charged me the $390.19 for the ticket price. I have been contacting them and they say there is nothing they can do it is not cancelable or refundable. Even though the reservation was never paid for until I told them to cancel my reservation then they ran the payment for my reservation.Customer Answer

On 2/27/2024 I purchased airline tickets for my family. I was contacted by this agency hours afterward to tell me that I can't bring any bags on my flight whatsoever and I'd need to pay $300+ per person to bring a bag. No where was this stated on their website or when I booked the tickets. When I told them that I no longer wanted the tickets they told me no refunds or cancelation. This is false advertising and entrapment. This business should not be allowed to continue operating. They have many similar complaints on ******* Unfortunately I did not check before purchasing my tickets through them. I need a refund.
