    I purchased a t-shirt from Free Spirited Co. Suddenly, a month later, I have ***** charge on my bank card that I did not authorize. I tried the website, where it says that is a membership fee, and that in order to cancel said membership, I must go into my account with them. However, I did not set up an account, planning to never go back to this site. So, I have no password to access said account. Requesting a password reset doesn't work, because there is no account. So, I called them, and was told I agreed to this at checkout. I did not see anything about signing up for a membership. If I did agree to terms of service as the *** says, I thought it was in connection with my purchase. They tell me they do not give refunds for the membership. I was told my request for refund would be addressed sometime in the next 24 hours; that I will receive an email from them. I have called my bank and requested a new bank card, which does not address the pending charge of *****. I want a refund, and I want them to fix their checkout process so this doesn't happen to anyone else.

    After reviewing your account, I can confirm that we already fully refunded the $24.95 membership charge the same day you called us. We also canceled the membership immediately to ensure there are no future charges. Were glad we were able to connect with you on the phone this past Saturday to help resolve this promptly.

    Just to clarify, the charge was related to our Free Spirited Insiders program, which provides exclusive access to free products, deep discounts, early access to new collections, free shipping, and other perks. While most members save well over $100 per month and find great value, we absolutely understand its not the right fit for everyone, and were always happy to refund if someone didnt mean to join.

    We do send an email after signup with login details, which sometimes lands in spam folders, we encourage customers to check there if its not in their main inbox. But more importantly, you never needed to log in to cancel, were available by phone and email, and were glad you reached out over the weekend so we could take care of everything for you quickly.

    We pride ourselves on being fair and transparent. While our membership terms are shown on our home page, product pages, during checkout, and on post-purchase emails, we also understand that they can occasionally be missed. Thats exactly why we make it easy to cancel and offer refunds without hassle.

    On March 2, 2025 I ordered from this company four t-shirts for a total of ***** which includes shipping, etc. I have recently noticed a charge of ***** from this company on my charge card. Upon further investigation I see that they have charged me ***** in March (in addition to the shirt order), and again in ****** **** June, and now the month of July. Always the transaction date is the 23rd of the month with the charge posting on my charge card account the following day, the 24th or 25th depending on which day of the week the 23rd is. I also am seeing others who have been had by this company's deceptive billing practices. I NEVER agreed to a "membership" in their company. Not as a trial nor as a permanent membership. They are stealing from people who order their product. I have sent their "support" an email requesting a refund of all the ***** charges and have not yet received a response, and I am additionally now writing this complaint. I see from others that getting a refund is very difficult.

    I purchased a couple of t-shirts from this vendor over a year ago. Since then I have been charged $24.95 every month. I have not received any merchandise or service for this charge.     I purchased from the Free Spirited Companys website a Hoodie and T-shirt at the cost of $75.13 on January 8, 2025. ( Website: of ************************************** )Recently, upon reviewing my year-to-date credit card expenses, I learn that this company charged without my consent $24.95 on: January 28, February 28, March 28, April 28 and May 28.On May 30, I called the Free Spirited and voiced my grievance and requested a refund. Free Spirited claimed that I signed up for their non-refundable Newsletter and Discount Program. I told them that I had not. They asked if I wanted to cancel? I said "yes!" They then offered a Free Newsletter that I declined. Due to their unwillingness to issue a refund ********* is now involved.The practices of Free Spirited are deceptive and fraudulent. BUYER BEWARE!

    This is a very deceptive business. They offer you a "free" trial to be a member and then a few weeks later they start billing you $24.95 a month to be a member to buy t-shirts. A bit ridiculous, but this is how they make money. They advertise cheap t-shirts knowing they will make the money on the back end with the $24.95 per month that no one knows about. I finally caught it on my statements and got in touch with them. They send you canned responses that pretend it was a mistake, etc. but they know exactly what they are doing. To make matters worse, they pretended to refund $24.95 and then they took it back probably because I complained on social media. They also said they could only refund one month per their terms and conditions. Sorry, but this is totally fraudulent. I can only imagine how much money they have taken from unsuspecting customers.

Free Spirited operates a membership-based program called Free Spirited Insiders, which offers exclusive pricing, early access to limited-edition styles, and other perks for a $24.95 monthly fee. Customers are presented with the opportunity to join during checkout in exchange for special discounts. The membership offer and terms are clearly disclosed at multiple points during the checkout process, and also referenced throughout our site.

    Mr. ***** placed an order that included enrollment in this program. Upon his request, our team promptly canceled the membership and refunded one month as a courtesy. No additional charges have occurred since.

    To address the refund reversal claim: we do not revoke issued refunds. If a reversal occurred, it may have been a bank-related issue, and were happy to look into it further with the necessary transaction details.

    While our policy limits refunds to one billing cycle, weve gone ahead and issued a second $24.95 refund today as a final courtesy, bringing the total refunded to $49.90 the full amount Mr. ***** requested.

    It is never our intent for anyone to pay for something they do not want or use. We aim to be clear about our offerings, and were proud to have thousands of five-star reviews from customers who love our products and appreciate the value our Insiders program provides.

    FS50972 4/8/25 $84.44 FS51631 4/10/25 $49.27 I placed the above two orders for tee shirts. Today my credit card was charged $24.95. I called Free Spirited immediately and was told it was for an insiders membership. I explained that I didn't agree and requested a refund. The *** said it's nonrefundable said she could only offer me a lower amount for a year. Outrageous! *Why would anyone pay for insider benefits to a tee-shirt company!!* I requested a manager but the *** said one wasn't available. I said I would continue to escalate this as needed. I expect a full refund and cancelation.

We understand that memberships arent for everyone, but this program is similar to what many apparel brands offer, and we work hard to provide excellent value at a much lower cost than most.

    I purchased 3 t-shirts in January for a total of $31.72 from Free Spirited Co. I was not aware that I was agreeing to pay a monthly fee of $24.95 for a membership when I purchased the t-shirts on January 3, 2025. My receipt did not explain that I was purchasing a membership and I thought I was only purchasing t-shirts. I did receive those t-shirts but I have been charged $24.95 on the 24th of every month since that original t-shirt purchase. I have asked them to stop charging me and cancel any membership or subscription immediately. I also have asked them to give me back my money as I never intended to purchase a membership. I'm told they will not charge me going forward for the membership fee and to show how sorry they are they agreed to upgrade me to a free lifetime membership. Upgrading their dishonest business practice does not make it right. I want them to stop charging me and I want all the money that they say they "accidently" charged paid back to my credit card. Those membership fees began appearing on my credit card statements January 24, 2025 and they have continued to charge me $24.95 on the 24th of every month. I have asked them twice to reimburse my credit card a total of $99.80 and to stop charging me for a membership I never intended to purchase.

    As disclosed during checkout and in your confirmation emails, the membership automatically continued after the free trial period at the standard rate of $24.95 per month. No cancellation request was received during the trial period.
    However, once you contacted us, we immediately canceled your membership and refunded 100% of the membership charges totaling $99.80 back to your card.

    I am rejecting this response because they are claiming I purchased the membership.  I never signed up for a membership and did not visit their website to purchase a membership.  I visited their website January 3, 2025 to purchase 3 t-shirts.  That ended up costing me $99.80.  As they explained in their response to me that I have attached I accidently added the membership at check out.  Apparently making a purchase with this company automatically signs you up for a membership which is not made clear.  They claim in the attached email that they will stop charging for the membership.  I'm learning thousands of consumers have been tricked by their dishonest business practices.  This dispute is about the $99.80 they have been charging me for which is to say $24.95 in January, $24.95 in February, $24.95 in March and again charged $24.95 in April.   I am disputing that I never agreed to, never asked for or sought out said membership.  I want my money back in full for the $99.80.  I did try to sign on to the website to cancel the membership between April 25, 2025 and April 28, 2025 per their instructions on their website.  That is what they are referring to when they say I accessed the purchased membership.  I didn't know I had a membership until they started charging me for it. I've been trying to cancel it once I figured out they were charging me.  I never denied that I received the t-shirts.  This is about their dishonest business practices, that they tricked me into purchasing a membership as they added it to my cart and because I purchased a product from them.  I refuse to accept that I willingly signed up for a monthly membership fee when I just wanted to purchase 3 t-shirts for a good price.

    This spring of 2025, I bought a t shirt from this company, I was pleased with it so I bought another one, then two more. Before I know it they start charging my card $24.95 every 2,3 weeks for a "club" they said I signed up for (I didn't). They were always friendly when I would email them about it and they would credit it back but, then, would do it again!! I count 4 times now that this has been done so it is time to file a complaint.

The trial begins at checkout, and enrollment requires active consent from the customer, which is documented during the checkout process.     That said, we completely understand that subscription chargesespecially recurring onescan be frustrating if they were not intended. After reviewing Ms. ******** account, we found that although the charges were refunded each time she contacted us, the membership was unfortunately not fully canceled during the earlier interactions.     On or around 3/3/25, ordered on shirt from Free Spirited Co., not knowing that just checking out automatically enrolled me in an "Insider Account" with automatic charges of $24.95 per month. I called the company requesting "Insider Account" cancellation and refunds of $24.95 for 3/3/35 and $24.95 for 4/3/25. Representative said cancellation possible but refund not possible. I feel misled since I was unaware of the "automatic sign up to Insider Account". This is a deceptive practice, and this company should be held accountable for using it. I would like a full refund of $49.90.

    Were truly sorry for any confusion caused by the Free Spirited Insiders membership. While the membership is optional and includes a 21-day free trial, we understand that it can still be frustrating if someone didnt realize they were enrolled. Enrollment requires a confirmation at checkout, and we also include full membership details in the order confirmation email to help ensure transparency.

    That said, our goal has never been to charge anyone for something theyre not getting value from. Weve gone ahead and fully refunded both $24.95 charges, totaling $49.90, and have permanently canceled Mr. ******* membership. No further charges will occur.

    We appreciate Mr. ****** bringing this to our attention and hope this resolution reflects our commitment to doing right by our customers. If there's anything more we can do, our team is always available at ********************************************************************.

    I order 3 shirts from them on February 5, 2025 and now I'm getting a monthly membership charge of $24.95. They charged me on February 26, 2025 and March 26, 2025. I contacted them by phone on March 2, 2025 once I saw the charge. I asked for a refund and to stop the monthly charges. I was charged again on March 26, 2025 and called again on March 30, 2025 requesting a refund. I was told that they don't do refunds and could upgrade my membership for free. I explained that I don't want any of it. I asked for them to cancel the membership and refund the two $24.95 charges to my account. I was told by *** that I would receive an email.
