Nurse Practitioner advised i would need a breast ultrasound as she felt a mass. I went ahead and reached out to my own diagnostic center as i knew the companies womens md was referring me to were overly priced. I completed my ultrasound and the doctors office received the results on 3/7 i had my results appointment scheduled for Tuesday 3/11. I received between Monday and Tuesday 10 calls from the gynecologist office, and another gynos office asking ti call them back. Each time i called the office and the assistant advised there was nothing to advise me on. I explained my frustration that they keep calling and not advising on anything. 5 minutes before my appointment i receive a 3rd call of the day advising the doctor wants to cancel my appointment so they can charge me $300 for an iud ultrasound. I declined as i had already cancelled the iud ultrasound appointment. 5 minutes before my appointment, mind you after the office called me several times they advised i need to make a payment to speak to the doctor. After all this disorganization from the office, i no longer feel comfortable receiving care. Seems all anyone cares about in that office is just billing and getting paid. Extremely disappointing considering its a womens health office and are supposed to remain organized & professional? Nothing professional about this office

I delivered my first **** here, loved it despite of a few issues with the midwife *******, I was able to deliver her here safely. Upon finding out about my second pregnancy, I was so very excited to deliver here as I thought the midwife already knew my labor story with my first and would take great care of me, but I was wrong. Upon paying for my labor and delivery services, I was asked to sign a contract stating that I'd be provided with labor and delivery services which would only be refunded if it was a matter of medical necessity, additionally stating that NOT if it was a choice to deliver elsewhere. Now come the day of my labor, my water had broken, I was getting contractions, I got sent away several times and despite of the last time me telling them how I knew this **** was coming and I was feeling her descend, the midwife yelled at me in my face and told me I did not look ready and that in her "30 years of experience" I'd be the first to progress that quickly (despite of it being the case with my previous labor). She assured me I'd have to go to the hospital as my time would have run out since my water had already broken, so at this point I went home to pack my bag and prep for the hospital as I'd be changing my entire labor plan in the matter of that conversation since she, the medical professional advised I wouldn't be able to deliver there. When I went home, contractions got strong and due to medical necessity I had to go to the hospital as I knew that **** was coming. Baby was born about 30 minutes after hospital arrival. This birthing center is now refusing to refund me the quantity for my labor and delivery despite of them not providing the services as the midwife is saying it was my choice to leave therefore not medical necessity when I plead to them with tears in my eyes that I did not want to leave because I knew the **** was coming.

Good afternoon, as per your request for case ID # ********, I have attached the ***** Disclosure document, please see attached. Additionally, please let me know if you need to obtain medical records from the hospital where my baby was safely delivered for more evidence of medical necessity since this business(Women's Healthcare of Kendall, LLC (also goes by ************************* operating in the same suite and medical facilities) has made strong allegations of it being otherwise. Thank you

P.S. My apologies as I was having troubles finding where to upload so I had forwarded it to the email provided on the previous communication from you

Prenatal care was performed by Women's Healthcare of Kendall ("WHK"). The provider, ******* *********, is a Certified Midwife employed by WHK.  She has privileges to deliver patients either at ************************* or at Maternity Options of *****, a Birth Center.  *** provides prenatal care and professional OB/GYN services, a complete separate business from Maternity Options of ***** (a Facility).

Patient choose the option of delivering at Maternity Options of *****, a birth center vs. a hospital birth.  When she signed up for Maternity Options of *****, she was given a Financial Agreement and paid for the facility fee to Maternity Options of ******

According to our records, patient was in communication with the midwife and she went to Maternity Options of Miami for labor checks 4 times.  Patient was not in active labor, therefore she was not admitted.   4th time she met with the midwife, she was having more frequent contraction but lacking power.  The midwife offered to walk around the Center or walk around ***********************, which is located 5 mins from the center.  Patient refused both options and stated she did not want to go to her mother's house, which was located closer than her own house. Both patient and husband were reassured that progress was good but still too early to be admitted.  Patient was upset because she did not want to go to her mother's house, which was closed than her home.  Patient left the Center.  (Labor check notes attached)

We later got notified that the patient drove back to her house, which was about an hour away from the Center.  She then went to a nearby hospital and delivered there.

I am rejecting this response because:
This business billed me for these services, despite of them not allowing me to deliver there and After several communications They are still denying me my refund

Patient signed a Financial Agreement acknowledging the terms.

Again, patient chose to go back home, which was very far from the ************ against the midwife's advice.  She was advised to stay in the area closer to the ************.  Therefore, no refund is due to patient, as per the Financial Agreement.

    Good evening,

I have attached detailed insight on what transpired on that day and the events leading up to me being unable to deliver at this facility due to medical necessity, not by choice as my patient records not only contain misinformation but also lack key details which contributed to my obligation to deliver elsewhere.

Please advise if you have any questions regarding the matters. Thank you for your time

    Sincerely,
