Please stay away from this company.I bought a house and they failed at the inspection to notice that the garage roof had a leak because there was a car in the garage and they also failed to recognize that the oven had holes that were covered by a tray because the inspector was so lazy to not even ask for the empty tray to be taken out. Well the replacement of the micro/oven combo costs 7000 plus the labor. Now I put my house up for sale and guess what the buyers want the unit to be replaced or theyll take the credit for it. Totally irresponsible inspectors.Make sure to hire someone capable of doing a decent job.Business Response

The company is corrupted and stole my money in a spam scheme.I hired them to perform a sewer scope Inspecrion to detect any abnormalities during the purchase of my house. When Allied came to perform the inspection, the inspector was lazy, inapt and unprofessional. He failed to perform a sewer scope blaming it to the water inside pipes. He left the job site without finalizing the job and didnt deliver professional services he was paid for. After submission of an internal complaint, allied failed to return my money that was paid for services that were not performed. Allied stole my money illegally and held it hostage without my consent causing irreparable health, mental and financial damages. Allied is a crooked agency and has been illegally paid by real estate agent to conceal issues with my house so I would buy a defective house caused by them not performing sewer scope Inspecrion they were hired for. I am seeking financial aid to reimburse the cost of sewer scope as well as legal protection from this corrupted and scammy businessBusiness Response

BBB serving Southeast ******* & *************

Attn: ********************
Re: Case# ******** *********************************
Dear *****************:
Thank you for contacting us. Please allow this correspondence to serve as our timely response to BBB Case ********. Allied Building Inspection Services has been in business since ****, and we are celebrating our 30th anniversary this year. We are honored to serve South *******. This is our lifes work. As an inspection company we examine, evaluate, and identify the condition of the home and provide our customers with the information they need to make important decisions. Because of this, we take any customer concerns very seriously. When a customer has any dissatisfaction with our service, we address their concerns in an expedient manner.
In our 30 years of business, we have performed over ******* inspections. We have had thousands of repeat customers over the years, and to this date, we have only had one previous BBB complaint. We have achieved this record by providing exceptional service and standing behind our services.
In response to ******************* s complaint, she alleges the following as some of her complaint items:
Allied Building Inspection Services is corrupt and stole her money in a spam scheme, and further stated that she hired Allied to perform a sewer scope inspection to detect any anomalies during the purchase of her home. When Allied came to perform the inspection, the inspector was lazy, inept, and unprofessional. Further alleging that the inspector failed to perform a sewer scope blaming it to the water inside pipes.
Allied states that this is a false characterization of who we are and the service we provide our customers. We provided ****************** with the service she contracted for, on time, and attempted to re-inspect the property in a timely manner to assist her and address her complaint.
******************* contacted Allied Building Inspection Services on March 12th, 2023, and contracted with Allied to perform much more than a sewer camera report. Allied performed a Comprehensive Home Inspection, a 4-Point inspection, a Wind Mitigation inspection, and a Sewer Scope inspection. The inspections were scheduled for and performed on March 15th,2023. On the completion of the inspections, Allied provided ******************* with comprehensive reports detailing the inspection findings and condition of her home, including the sewer pipes. These reports were delivered, reviewed, and paid for by *******************. She received what she contracted in a timely manner, and her money was not stolen. We have electronic date data in our CRM showing the delivery and review of the reports that we can provide upon request.
As it relates to the chief complaint regarding the sewer scope inspection, the sewer scope report provided to ******************* details multiple deficiencies, including corrosion, heavy build-up, heavy debris, standing water and visible blockages, and recommends further action by a plumber. Included is a copy of the sewer camera report provided to ******************.
******************* contacted Allied Building Inspections Services on May 30th, 2023, two months after the initial inspection to advise us of her concerns and findings after having contacted Roto Router Plumbing as recommended in the final inspection report that Allied provided to her. She felt that Allied had a responsibility of not only having identified the blockage, but also remedying the blockage. She provided Allied with the invoice for the cost of repairing the blockage and requested that Allied pay for the work performed by the plumbing company. On June 9th,2023,Allieds Services Manager attempted to schedule a quality control inspection with *******************, however she declined allowing us back to perform a re-inspection. On July 6th, after reviewing the case, and following up with the inspector, we sent ******************* a formal response to her complaint advising her that as an inspection company, we do not sell or derive income from providing plumbing services, and that we had performed a thorough inspection to the degree reasonably possible as required by ******* statues and had in fact found the deficiencies in the piping that required the plumber to remedy.
In summary,we feel that we performed ******************* s sewer camera scope inspection and addressed her concerns in a timely and satisfactory manner, and that the provided service found the deficiencies noted that required a plumber to perform repairs.
I hope this clarifies any questions you may have. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any further comments or questions, or if I may be of any further assistance to you.
Sincerely,
*********************, President

My husband and I purchased a *************** condominium in April. Our broker ******* from Compass real estate swore by Allied inspections, said they would have our inspection complete within a few days and that they were the best. We were not able to be present for inspection although had representation. Our investment condo is around ***** sq feet which seems simple. The report stated entrance light inoperable, some paint bubbling around vents (from humidity), and that we needed mold remediation for our AC. Ok, not a huge deal. Closed on property. However, heres what we found upon entering- No mold whatsoever in AC units. They sell through another or sister company that hounds you to use them for mold remediation for thousands.- None of the air vents in either bathroom were operable. After my husband pulled a cover off there wasnt even a motor in it.- At least 10 cracked pieces of flooring.-Dishwasher had no spring and dropped when opened. - Bathroom faucets were loose (there were only 2!)- Very low water pressure.- A slider door to main patio would not even open.- ceiling lights in kitchen flicker constantly Theres more but they insisted clients were important and pushed for a reinspection- Man came out, seemed shocked by what was missed and took notes. Didnt expect much but they ultimately determined everything was broken prior to initial inspection. Impossible! I documented everything with pictures and videos. Whats incredible is if you use these guys is their entity immediately starts calling to sell you more things. Its a racquet, be careful and if you do do use them be present because they are only concerned about the money they make with services offered after inspection. Purchased many commercial and residential properties. Have never complained about an inspection and Im beyond shocked at response. Be aware of Allied and the cold call sales after inspection. Thank you for contacting us. Please allow this correspondence to serve as our timely response to BBB Case ********. Allied Building Inspection Services has been in business since ****, celebrating our 30th anniversary this year. We are honored to serve South *******. This is our lifes work. We take any customer concerns very seriously. If we are informed that a customer has any dissatisfaction with our service, we address those concerns in an expedient manner. In our 30 years of business, we have performed over ******* inspections. We have had thousands of repeat and multiple repeat customers over the years, and to this date, have only one previous BBB complaint. We did not achieve this record by not addressing customer concerns, but rather by standing behind our services.
In reply to Mr. and *************** complaint, we have attached our response letter in which we provided the requested inspection service on March 20th, 2023. The type of inspections requested were:
Home
4-Point
Wind Mitigation
Once these inspections were completed, a report was emailed to the client on March 21st at 6:34 P.M. The Bairds emailed our offices on May 23rd at 10:30 A.M. regarding their concerns. This is over 2 months after the inspection was performed. Allied discussed their concerns, performed a re-inspection, investigated the findings, noted the issues and researched the information immediately. After the research, analysis and discussion with the clients, Allied forwarded them the response correspondence dated June 26th,2023 (in your possession and attached hereto), noting our findings. Allied responded and addressed this issue in a timely and responsible manner. We are sympathetic to the unfortunate issues that Mr. and *************** have experienced in their home. However, we feel that we have performed the requested services of home inspection satisfactorily. We noted the deficiencies that could be found during a home inspection. Allied noted an estimated $8,200.00 worth of estimated repair costs as noted in the inspection report.
Sincerely,

I booked this company to do a home inspection on a property I was buying at ******************************************************************. The inspection was scheduled for Monday, 12/12/22.I paid their $1101.00 inspection fee by eCheck on 12/9/22.We ended up cancelling the contract on the home and I called Allied Building Inspection Services on 12/09/22 and cancelled the inspection. I cancelled 3 days prior to the inspection. On Saturday, 12/10/22, I received an emailed confirmation from Allied that my inspection had been cancelled. Because I cancelled 3 days ahead of the scheduled inspection, I am entitled to a refund under their refund policy which requires 24 hour notice. I called on Saturday, 12/10, about the status of my refund. I was told it would be processed back by eCheck. I called again on Monday, 12/12/22 and I was told ***** handles refunds and that it would be processed on Wednesday, 12/14/22 and that it would be returned to me via eCheck. I was told to call back if I did not see it by Friday.Today, Friday, 12/16/22, I still have not seen the refund or even an emailed confirmation that it was submitted for processing. I called at 8:40 AM and spoke to ******* about it. She put me on hold and told me ***** said she was working on it and zi would get a confirmation within an hour and that ******* would follow up on it. An hour came and went and I called back at 9:40 AM. This time I spoke to ****** who said ******* was not at her desk. She offered to talk to the manager, ********, about it. I asked to speak to ******** and was told she was in a meeting until noon. ****** said she would call me back about the refund.I am a realtor with ********************************* Realty and I am shocked at how bad this company is. I am entitled to a refund and they should have handled it already. Instead, Days later, I am still calling and wasting hours trying to find out why my refund has not been received. Nothing but stonewalling on their part about giving me my money back.
