I purchased a Magnavox Stereo system from a dealer on Amazon and it proved to be defective after a short period of use, but past the time allowed for return by Amazon. The product was guaranteed by Craig Electronics and I wrote for for reimbursement of purchase price on 1/5/24. It was acknowledged the same day and assigned request 8292.. I tried to get a response with additional emails and finally did receive a substantive message (2/1/24) which confirmed I was eligible for reimbursement as long as I filed within 90 days after the 30 day period when the item should be returned to the seller. The second was on 3/22/24 apologizing for the way customer service had handled their responsibilities and promising an $80 gift card would be sent to me. Between the two messages my email responses were to assign me a new request number or simply to say the office was closed when my message was received. I have copies of the messages I sent, including the photos of my original purchase and the responses sent by Craig Electronics which I can forward to your email address, but I am unable to download them. I am looking for Craig Electronics to fulfill the guarantee that appears in their message and as part of the Magnavox warrantee for a defective product.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I regularly check my junk/spam mail listings and no such gift card was ever received on March 22 or any day thereafter. I will accept a replacement if this is a genuine response from the company. Can the gift card be forwarded through the BBB?

We can't send the gift card through BBB as it issued via Amazon. We can send it to the same address that is on the attached image from March 22, or we can send to a mobile phone number or alternate email address. Please advise how we can best digitally send the gift card to you to resolve your issue.

This case was closed in error. My response to the last communication from the company was to accept the offer to send the card to my email address -- which has not been done -- and only then would I agree to close the case. You need to reopen the case and require the company to follow through on its commitment and when I receive the card I will inform you it has been received and the case can be closed.Business Response

This is our 3rd attempt to send the gift card to your email address. If for some reason, you don't receive, please contact us thru this communication string as we are moving our call center and having some technical difficulties. According to Amazon, the card should be in your email box within 5 minutes. I can understand it may look to you that we are not living up to our commitment, but the 3 screen shots showing our efforts to send and resend two times, I hope proves to you our efforts to resolve this issue.
Amazon also states that we have two more attempts to resend this to you, so next step may be to use a phone number or alternate email.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I was able to access the message that was sent and was able to see that the amount of $80 was added to the account. I have completed an order with Amazon and the gift card amount was accepted. I have received the amount of funds I expended originally so the issue is resolved. It's too bad it took many months of exchanging emails with the company to no avail. Thank you BBB for your assistance.

I purchased a Magnavox 10 Foot Braided Lightning Cable from my local Rite aid store on 10/10/23 for 8.09. It was on sale (full price *****). I noticed almost 3 months later the metal part the goes into my phone was bent and phone was not charging. I contacted Magnavox (Craigs Electronics) for warranty information. Their website warranty policy states: 180 days for Magnavox products from the date of purchase. I emailed *********************************** and got a reply requesting information for the warranty. I supplied everything and never heard a reply back. I emailed them numerous names and even opened a new email support ticket. I reported this to the local store. Their return police is only 90 days. However, I wanted them to be informed. Will not buy another Magnavox or craigs product again. Does not stand behind their warranty.Business Response

I ordered 3 products from Gallery Home and Gifts and Craig**;s carries a 90 day warranty on the electronics and I was trying to purchase a extended warranty for the electronics. The products that I purchased was Craig **** inch android tablet I purchased three of them. I have been calling the business attempting to purchase a extended warranty through phone calls and emails. No one has returned my calls to date. I contacted Gallery Home and gifts to purchase a extended warranty but they informed me that I needed to contact Craig**;s in order to purchase the extended warranty.
