We upgraded to a cabin with a balcony paying $471. The first 5 days and an 11 day cruise we were not able to use the balcony as it was flooded due to a broken faucet used outside to wash the ship siding. We were offered a 1 day pass to the vibe section which is suppose to be elite....it was just a private area at the top of the ship with lounge seating and poorly served fruit kabobs. **************** on and off the ship is terrible. They mixed up our credit card charges prior to embarkment and during the cruise as well. When we contact *** customer complaints about the balcony flooding....they offered us $250 credit towards the next cruise which had to be redeemed within 12 months. Why would we ship with *** again after such an experience. Had they made good on the balcony issue by at least refunding half of our money, we may have given them another try. Very poor business and customer service practices!

Thieves! My Mother-in-law booked a trip on the Pride of America for July 2024 for herself, my Husband, and Law. The day they were to fly to ****** was the day of the of the CrowdStrike outage and their Delta flight from ******* to ******** was cancelled, we made every attempt to find a flight to get them to ******** before the Cruise left the next day , unfortunately every flight thru every airline at any airport that flies to ****** was full and would not get them there before the ship left and there were no flights that would allow them to meet up with the ship , we assumed because this was a global outage that others had the same experience , and did not ask for a refund but just a future cruise credit to rebook , here it is a year later and we still have received nothing the travel agent we use was not able to get a response and Neither was I after several attempts . We could understand if we just missed the flight because we were late or changed our minds last minute, but they sat at the airport for 19 hrs. trying to get out and there was nothing that could be done, we didn't even want our money back we just wanted to rebook for another date. ***** issued future flight credits I just can't believe NCL would be so cold hearted about an issue that affected millions of people. Its not like we could just hop in the car and drive to ******

We planned this cruise February 2024 giving the 4 of us retired adults time to pay without busting the budget.Forward to June 2025 and we are now at the airport excited for our cruise around ****** and ***** with Norwegian Cruises.Unfortunately, Delta Airlines started the nightmare with our plane being grounded for most of the day. In the meantime, we sat at the airport trying to get another flight or fly to another port to catch the boat. By the time Delta got us a plane that would fly it was too late, we would either miss our boat in **** and be stranded with no hotel during the jubilation and new **** which meant we would pay a premium price which we were not prepared for. We decided to cancel our flight through ***** and go home to contact *** about meeting the boat at another port which was recommended to us by ****Unfortunately, *** does not care. We asked to meet at *******, ****** or ***** and could not get a definite response. ***'s representative kept telling us to purchase our plane tickets first and they would have to get permission from the captain for us to board at another port. The captain was never available to give us that permission. Just an FYI if you're interested in hijacking a cruise ship, we were told that the crew leaves the boat at every port so the ship is yours if you can drive one.We asked for a credit for a future cruise, nothing. We asked for a refund through their insurance, nothing. Our travel agent left us high and dry also.We learned a lot. This was our first cruise, and we never even made it on the boat. They just don't care once they have your money.

Norwegian's Air Choice program is flawed. They have a policy that states if passengers are not ticketed, then a refund would be given. They messed up our reservation when the wrong code was put in their system during booking. They changed our flight and airline without a conversation. They booked on an airline we would never choose. Seats were full because other passengers did not have the problems we encountered. We did not receive any help from Air Choice. They said they offered us 50% our money back but that is not the truth. We ended up spending twice the amount to reach our cruise destination.

Purchased & paid in full a Cruise for June *****, 2025 w/Norwegian that included airfare for 2 ppl. Also purchased insurance from *** site. Our flight was delayed which caused us to miss the ship leaving the port. While sitting on the tarmac we met a couple next to us in the same situation, & they were on the phone with *** letting them know the situation for ********** We did not receive much guidance from ********** were not helpful. They kept deferring to the airlines. We understood that the flight delays were not the ships issue, but this is not the 1st time this has happened, & we were expecting some type of customer ****************** when calling the company we paid thousands of dollars to & made the arrangements with. In hindsight the run around we were receiving from *** makes sense since this now seems like a scam. They book you on flights with multiple stops so if there are any delays you will miss the ship leaving the port. They scam you into buying insurance that they don't help with. Less mouths to feed = more money in their pockets especially when you pay for things up front like drink ************* fees. *** told us to cancel our flight or they would not be able to help us, they told us to cancel our cruise, this was the only way to rebook another cruise, they gave us a phone # for the insurance we purchased which was not the correct phone number. We had to make the decision to go back home w/all of the info we received from ***. We were told that we would be getting a full refund - the cancellation fee (*** told us to cancel) & it would take about 10 days. We received a refund the next day for the taxes. After 10 days we called *** asking about the full refund so we could book our replacement cruise. Now we get No refund & no credit towards another cruise because we did not purchase the *** insurance? We did everything in our power to make the cruise & with the advisement from *** cancelled so we could get a full refund or another cruise.

NCL held our money in reserve for incidentals while on board, which was not an issue. However, after the cruise was completed and after the thirty-day period to receive our funds back, NCL has not returned our money. I have tried many times to contact them with no success. Every attempt to contact their accounting department ends in the call being disconnected. Every email inquiry sent to the account department is addressed with and generated policy email.
NCL will not let you speak to a live person to address your refund they owe you. It has been over 45 days, and I am still trying to receive my refund. Beware, it may take some doing to get your money back from NCL

They lied and cheated me out of $3000. Promised to price match up until the cruise date. They did once, but when the price dropped in half, they suddenly denied ever being able to do that. Why would my vacation specialist have submitted for the price adjustments had she not thought I would get it???

Never book a package that includes airfare! No matter how much we explained our situation regarding traveling with our elderly they made a mess! Many calls, lots of time (HOURS) spent trying to fix the problems, explaining to everyone over and over again. We received the information at a time changes were not allowed. We were willing to pay extra but they could not give us an answer on time for us to make other travel arrangements to arrive at the airport and start the trip. After we finally resolved the problem by buying additional airfare for our father, THEY CHANGED THE FLIGHT FOR THE REST OF US, RESULTING IN OUR FATHER TRAVELING ALONE! We are still trying to resolve this problem, have spent so much money and can't cancel because we would loose it all.Never again.

I recently sailed on the Norwegian Gem and had one of the most disturbing experiences Ive ever had as a traveler one that ensured Ill never use Norwegian Cruise Line again. On the third night, I was sitting alone in a quiet section at the front of the ship (with no signage or warning posted) when I was approached by a security officer, who took my photo without asking, then aggressively demanded my ID and room number. I refused and walked away, uncomfortable and shocked at how unnecessarily hostile the interaction was.Fast-forward to disembarkation at the *************: the same officer was standing at the gangway. As I scanned my passport, a red alert appeared and I was pulled aside by *** for secondary inspection. I saw the printed list of names *** had and my name wasnt on it. The officers manually wrote me in, meaning this wasnt random it was personal. The cruise staff almost certainly flagged me as retaliation.CBP seized my phone, held it for an hour, and subjected me to invasive questioning. I dont blame them I blame *** for what clearly appears to be a malicious *********** one deserves to be harassed or reported to federal authorities because a cruise employee didnt like that you walked away from an interaction. This was abuse of power, pure and simple. *** filed formal complaints with *** and ***, and I will never sail with *** again.

Horrible experience!!! Norwegian does not care about their customers. We have 6 people cruising and we booked excursions for all of us through their customer service agent. 4 of the 6 family members had their excursion canceled out of the blue. When we called customer service, they said it was overbooked. Why does their system allow you to book if theres no space?! When we escalated to the resolution desk, ******* was extremely rude. He said thats the way Norwegian does business. We asked about booking a different excursion for the whole family at the same price and he refused. They clearly dont hold themselves accountable and dont care about their customers.
