AVOID THIS BUSINESS AND ITS OWNER, ********************, AT ALL COSTS. HE IS A *******.I have had two major issues with Miami Mac Repair (MMR). In the fall of 2021, I purchased a used unlocked iPhone from ******************** for my partner. ******************** charged us $275 for the phone if we traded in our broken iPhone. The iPhone ******************** sold us would not work with any SIM card or phone company we tried to install. When we took it to the Apple store, we were informed that the phone ******************** had sold us had been reported as STOLEN and was BLACKLISTED. This information can be obtained from the stolen phone's IMEI number. ******************** claimed he did not know about the stolen phone, which I now find ridiculous for an "experienced Apple repair" person to not know about something as basic as an IMEI. I returned the stolen iPhone, but ******************** refused to refund us for the $275 for nearly three months. I chose to forgive ******************** and give him the benefit of the doubt. BIG MISTAKE. A few months later, my MacBook Pro 13 got wet and I thought I would give Miami Mac Repair another chance. ******************** gave me the wrong mail address to ship my broken laptop to him. *** ended up losing my package, which was distressing, but eventually they found it. Nonetheless, I chose to cancel my repair service and request a refund of the $375 repair fee with ******************** out of fear of mailing my laptop again. ******************** was very angry and verbally insulting that I chose to cancel my business with him. He refused to refund me the $375. I waited for nearly THREE months. When I asked for my refund, he became aggressive and threatened my partner and I. Finally, I complained to the bank and was able to get my money back. However, Miami Mac Repair should not be allowed to operate as a business and I believe it should be investigated for scamming, selling stolen merchandise, and harassment. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
