They refuse to provide me with consulting service which is granted to everyone, expelled me from a learning and networking opportunity- all because I missed appointments when I had been hospitalized. Call it as you wish...its just wrong. Now they are all colluding after realizing a mistake was made and going even further to portray me as though i missed the training sessions when the documents will show Ms. *** never responded to me on time.

    Good afternoon, ********:

Are you continuing with the complaint? It is not clear from your email. As for the term I used, not sure why this would be offensive to you or anyone? When one person oversteps their authority and boundaries, the term fits. Regardless, I would like to be provided what was offered to me when i enrolled in their services and the learning opportunity.

DId you get a chance to review the documents?

    Thanks,

    Amaury

I'm a doctoral student at FIU. On 12/11/25, I requested an official transcript for tuition reimbursement. The request form required a reason and specify the term (Fall, etc.), for which I did. However, the form did not have a acknowledgment requiring students to confirm that transcripts would only be processed once final grades were officially posted. While I recognize that grades may be subject to change, my grades were straightforwardthere were no pending updates or revisions; my professors simply needed to submit them. Which i had no problem waiting, if that is what was needed. After noticing a delay, I attempted to contact the transcript department via email but received no response. I then called FIU for assistance, and I was advised to email the department again. I followed this guidance and sent an additional email on February 19, 2025, yet still received no reply. It was only after submitting a negative review of my experience that the department finally ************ my response, I respectfully requested that the transcript fee be waived and that my transcript, now reflecting my final grades, be re-sent. However, I was informed that I would need to pay the fee again. I then replied to express my concerns regarding this practice, as it appears to be an unethical means of generating revenue from students, many of whom face financial limitations. Including myself. Additionally, I sought clarification on when students are advised to request transcripts to ensure this does not happened to me again and i adhere to their process. I also formally requested to speak with a supervisor to escalate this complaint.I ask that this complaint be acknowledged and addressed, as the departments lack of communication, delayed responses, and overall handling of this matter are unacceptable, unprofessional, and unethical. Furthermore, I formally request that the transcript fee be waived and that my updated transcript be re-sent to me.Thank you for your time.

    Hello,

This complaint was received via postal service mail to our ********************** and forwarded to the Office of the University Registrar on 3/12/2025 via email for review and response.  Please see attached document.  We were not provided sufficient time to respond.  Additionally, we did not at any point receive any other communications that you have listed.   Please note that we are an institution of higher learning, not a "business."

We investigated this issue and below is our response.

The student placed an order for an official transcript on December 11, 2024, prior to the official posting of Fall 2024 grades, which were posted to student records on December 19, 2024, as outlined in the Academic Calendar. As a result, the transcript issued did not include the students final grades.

The first email/communication we received from the student was on February 19, 2025. We communicated with the student twice via email, on February 20 and February 21, to inform them of the status of their transcript request and provided guidance regarding the posting of final grades. There was no delay nor lack of communication on our part throughout this process.  We did not receive any further communications from this student after last response.

When ordering transcripts, students are advised to ensure that their records are complete and accurate by reviewing their unofficial transcript prior to submitting an official transcript request. This guidance is clearly outlined on the our Parchment online transcript order form, which includes the following message:

"ATTENTION: If you are currently enrolled and just completed your course(s), or recently graduated, please verify through ***************************** that your grades/degree(s) are posted and reflect accurately BEFORE ordering transcripts. If your grades are not on *****************************, please contact your instructor. If you submit your order prior to grades/degree(s) being posted, your transcript cannot be canceled, deleted, or refunded. You will need to order and pay for another transcript once your grades/degree(s) are posted."
This information is clearly listed on our official transcript ordering website at:  **********************************************************.
The unofficial transcript reflects the same information as the official transcript, and students are encouraged to verify that their records are complete before placing an order.

It is our process that once a transcript order has been processed, the fee is non-refundable. If the student wishes to obtain an updated transcript reflecting their final grades, they may submit a new order and pay the required $10 fee. Again, this is clearly stated at the top of the order form on-line (also attached a copy of the file below.

If you require further clarification or have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me at ************************************

Thank you for allowing us to respond.

    Best regards, Dulce

I am rejecting this response because: they should have a system that serves the clients given we are paying ("the client is always right") but i see that companies even educational institutions are only worried about making money. Moving forward, I will make sure to wait on my process so that grades can be posted and then make a request for transcripts. Thank you.

    Sincerely,

My name is *****************************, panther *******. The magna c** laude achievement is not being showed on my diploma nor official transcripts. I called the graduation department, and they said that I cannot be granted that achievement because I've done 2 semester exchange through *** NSE department; and hence, in order to get the honors designation on my records you have to have a 3.5 or higher GPA along with a minimum of 40 *** credit hours, and the exchange does not merge credits. Nobody told me that in order to get Magna or Suma c** laude I needed ONLY credits from Fiu, excluding *** exchange. I've transferred to *** with a GPA ****, graduated with a GPA 3.8, and even reached 4,0 during my exchange. I have worked my a** off to achieve my grades so in the end the graduate department tells me I cannot have my magna c** laude on my diploma. I want someone to sort this out for me.
