On February 12, 2025 my husband and daughter purchased a pair of boots at the Michele Lopriore store in *************, ** for $525.94. They paid in cash. Seeing the return policy on the receipt (attached) that only allows exchanges or store credit, my daughter asked if I can return the boots in case they don't fit. The manager said that since it is a gift, the boots can be returned within 14 days from purchase with a refund. I have been trying to return the boots since February 14th and went to both branches in ** (************* and ******) and I am always getting the answer that there is no cash in the register at either branches. I called today again and the person who answered the phone was pretty rude and said " we don't return cash" and then on another phone call with ***** at the ****************** I was told that the manager is on her day off and is not answering the phone. I am afraid that I won't be able to get my money back as the 14 days is a short period.

I was given the manager's phone number because the employees would not give me a straight answer.

They first claimed, they don't have cash in the registers to return the money, then they said only the manager has access to the safe and they can't do a refund in the same form of payment- even though the person (*****) who helped my daughter assured her that since it is a gift, I have the right to return it if it doesn't fit, Their return policy didn't apply on gifts.

I ended up texting ***, the manager to ask for her help with the refund since her employees were not able to assist.

She falsely claimed that my daughter said if the boots don't fit, she will keep them for herself.

My daughter's shoe size is 38 not 39 (which is the size of the purchased boots) and she never told ***** that she will keep the boots.

See below exchange between me and *** the manager: ****** number is ************.)

Hello ***, ***** from the ****** store in ****** gave me your phone
number to follow up about the refund that I had requested for the return
of the boots that didnt fit.
Can you please let me know when I should expect a refund? The stores at
************* and ****** have been giving me the run around.
    Appreciate your help.
    ******* Zoummar

    Hello *******,

I apologize for not being able to call you yesterday because i have day
off this days, I wanted to follow up regarding your inquiry.

My coworkers informed me that your daughter purchased the boots as a
gift and also inquired about our return policy at the time of purchase.
*****, who assisted her, explained that we offer only store credit or
exchanges, not refunds. Your daughter mentioned that if the boots didnt
work for you, she would keep them for herself.

Unfortunately, our policy and system do not allow us to process refunds.
The only options we can offer are store credit or an exchange. Please
let us know how youd like to proceed, we are always happy to help you
    to choose something else.

    Best regards
    ***,

I ordered a pair of shoes for my wife from their website. We had the correct size, but when they arrived the actual shoes were one size larger than marked in the shoe. I contacted the company through their website email. Milano hey agreed to a refund and sent me a mailing label for the refund. They received the shoes on August 28th per the tracking number ***** Tracking Number: **********************). Shoes are in new condition (never worn with original packing materials). It has been over 4 weeks and Milano has not issued a refund. I just want to get my money refunded since we have returned the merchandise to the company in new condition (never worn).

I was able to get a refund through PayPal, where they agreed with my complaint. I never heard from the vendor or saw any response on the PayPal inquiry or my BBB complaint. I am requesting this issue be resolved regarding my BBB complaint, but would like BBB to note the vendor never responded to any inquiries from me, PayPal or the BBB. Thank you.
