My 73 year old mother with a clean driving record was rejected from renting a car (despite paying $5 to make a reservation) because they dont rent to anyone over 70 years old. Filing a complaint with the **** for discrimination. This company should not be allowed to accept money for reservations without confirming the age first and if they arent able to accommodate the reservation they should refund the $5 to the customer

I rented a car through Expedia the cost was *****. When I went to pick up the vehicle, it was an airport offsite facility. I went into the trailer and there was a virtual screen. A voice came on and acknowledged my reservation. She then proceeded to advise me that there was going to be an additional ***** per day added to the reservation for Sunpass. I advised I was not going to use any toll roads. I was going straight to Jupiter on 95, a non-toll road. I declined Sunpass. I was also advised that I was going to be charged an insurance service fee of ***** per day, again I declined. I have full coverage insurance that was provided when I made the reservation. I also was told that there was a ****** refundable hold on my charge card. I can understand that one. This company charged a low rental price to get you in then charged you with a bunch of bogus fees. Since they are offsite you as a consumer are stuck. This not acceptable. All charges should be upfront. I also contacted Expedia, where I booked this rental and they were of no help. I think as the general contractor they should be responsible for handling this complaint and getting my funds reimbursed. They declined any help and would not even supply me a copy of our conversation. I want my $159.95 back, they charged me for services that were not used or provided and declined. This company did not do any insurance work on the car I rented, nor did I use any toll roads. I was charged for services and products I didn't use.
