I needed to change a roundtrip flight with the Aerolineas Argentinas airline because of an injury that put my travel companion's husband in the hospital from Nov 10 until the evening of Nov 28. On Nov 20, we accepted the reality that we had to change our travel arrangements. We contacted Oceanwide to change our cruise, then the other reservations for this trip.Our flight on Aerolineas was Nov 28. I starting contacting them on Tuesday, Nov 21, to change our flight dates. I had two email addresses for the person who helped us book the flights. I emailed him details of the injuries and hospitalization and the change to our dates. On Friday (Thursday was Thanksgiving) I contacted the reservation line via two additional email addresses. I also included the first two email addresses. I went to the website but I couldn't find any way to change the trip there. While online I found a phone number to call. I eventually called four phone numbers but all the numbers gave the same message. I left voicemails. I also called Sunday since online it noted they were open. That message said they were open only 9-5 Monday through Friday. Monday morning, Nov 27, I called at 9 a.m. I went though the prompts and was on hold for less than a minute when the call dropped. I called back several times during the day and the same thing happened - on hold, call disconnected.I tried What's App, which is only in Spanish. I used a translation app to figure out how to respond. Ultimately, when I finally got to "change" it said to call.I contacted the ********* embassy just to help me get in touch with the airline. I left a message for the **************** Online I found an email address for the embassy. I received a boilerplate response in Spanish, When translated it referenced birth and death certificates, civil status, etc. There were more efforts on Nov 28. I am still trying because this is the only airline to fly on our dates to our destination. Avoid this airline if possible.
