03/10/2024 Me and my step father went to the dealership looking to get a truck at this dealership ( auto direct of Miami) went through the whole process. Told the sales men I want to finance the truck through my brothers name. ( I had his permission to go ahead and do it) but the dealership never messaged my brother agreeing to run his credit or even finance the truck, which by law they have to. I signed every paper with my own legal name even though my brothers name is on the contract. So basically the contract is not valid. They are trying to keep my 4k down payment. I went to the dealership on 03/15/2024. They told me well the bank doesnt want to finance the truck anymore and I basically lost my 4 grand and want me to find someone else with credit to finance the truck or theyll take it away from me. How is that even possible if they said Im approved and let me go home with the truck and everything. Its a very common thing they are doing. Letting a customer put money down and let them take the car home and later on saying the bank doesnt approved of the loan. It doesnt work like that. First they are supposed to see if they can get you approved and then let you go with the car they did the opposite just so they can keep the down payment. They take the car and your down payment. Im clearly not the first one they tired this on from what Im seeing on the reviews. Ill be seeing them in court soon or Ill just bring the bbb inspector. I just want my money back.

I see a nice car listed on Marketplace for 11k. I live out of state and know a local that can test drive it for me before I fly in from ** to buy it. I called the number in the ad and ask for the CarFax. They seemed to be ******* me off the phone and insisted I sent them my email on Messenger. After 2 hours of no response, I called again to say I didn't get the email yet. All he said was "********* minutes" and hung up. Wow. I never got the email still and ended up being blocked from the post as well as my phone number. The person I know locally contacted them Friday and scheduled a test drive for Monday. After they drove 1.5 hrs to come drive the car, it was blocked in my so many cars and they didn't move the cars blocking it. Really frustrating since they knew for 3 days we were coming to drive it. The salesman confirmed the price was 11k, as posted on Marketplace. The car turned out to be Rebuilt, per title, involved in 2 accents. Both accidents, the car was towed and a recent one was a total loss. I called the dealership directly after finding them online so I can discuss the financing since the other guy blocked me for some reason. ***** was very nice (at first) and sent me the application and the CarFax. I noticed it was listed for $7.5k more on the site, so I asked him if they were honoring the 11k that was posted/promised. He 100% refused. I informed him about this being false advertising and he didn't seem to care. We asked who was helping us earlier and he didn't bother to check. He also said he was "being nice" by sending the CarFax and he's not required to. What car salesman doesn't know it's required to show that, actually? This car has also been sitting in their lot for months. He refused to admit that he had *********** over priced. Overall, the customer service here is god awful and the experience was even worse. Surely didn't by the car and I would not recommend anyone shop here and have to have the same terrible experience.

      Good morning,

This complaint its not too detailed, our postings always have a disclaimer on the bottom stating that the prices vary depending on different situations. I apologize for the inconvenience, if you will like to let me know who the sales agent was so I can handlet this matter better.

      Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because: that was NOT mentioned in the description and why would you list it as 1 price on an advertisement and a completely different price on your website? Also, AS MENTIONED IN THE COMPLAINT "We asked who was helping us earlier and he didn't bother to check." Are you not going to bother to check, either? Did you even read the entire complaint? And to say there is "not enough detail" is a joke because there was enough detail to max out on the character limit. I expect a better and well thought out response that shows attention to this complaint or ill post this same well written and highly detailed complaint on more platforms.

      Sincerely,

Today is 10/172023 and as of today I have not received a resolution from any of the 5 employees from Auto Direct of Miami or  Auto  Direct of Hollywood, this dealership along with all the managers and owners should be ashamed of themselves. They are running a high scale scam operation and us the buyers are the ones getting scammed, hurt and left with no where to go. After I filed my complaint a  lot has  happened and Im still waiting for a resolution and at this point we are so upset, that I'm willing to take my case to the media, consumer services and go anywhere I have to go to, stop this type of scam these thieves are preforming right  in front of everyone's faces . I've attached all off the text communication between me and *********************** one of the many managers, also text from ******* another manager, ***** another manager, and ***** another manager, and after 21500.00  downpayment, after having my credit destroyed for the 12+ hard inquiries they have done. After the previous financial Company that they never provided since 04/12/2023 *************** and after many many phone calls to them ,and advised me to wait until the Loan was processed and on my credit report to start making the payments they decided to add that account to my credit report on 10/06/2023 and then closed the account and **** the account as repossession. ON 10/04/2023 I was asked by *********************** to get cut up with payment from *************** and that the problem will be fix, I when ahead and pay them ******* to make the account current little did I new he called and told me that he had a found a better deal with ******************* and that he added  the ********* I had previously paid on 04/2023 and the ******* and used as a down payment for the new financial company then they pulled my credit 4 times more and email me a new application and a contract which will be attached to this complaint as well. After I did all of that for something that was not my fault Im getting the run around and my truck still at the MIchigan Recovery Center.
They do not answer my calls or my husbands  ,they keep, on giving us the run around, they have my truck and my money and have caused my family a great deal of inconvenience my son had to be left alone in the hospital for 3 days after I specifically told them my situation, he  has missed many days of school I'm about to be taking to court for all of his absences, I have missed many days of work and no saying the many hours and time on the phone talking to these people that have no regard or compassion for others I will  make it my mission to make sure that everyone is aware of the scam that Auto Direct of Miami ,  Auto Direct of Hollywood and everyone involve on my transaction are getting away with.
They sold me the truck on 04-12-2023 and stated on the odometer disclosure statement ***** when in fact the millage was ****** as 02-17-2023 when the purchase the truck as stated on the Vehicle History Report for 1gc4kxcy3kf130795(report attached) so they showed **** less miles on the odometer statement to better the sale.
At this point they have *********, I'm still waiting for my truck I have   no way of getting my son to school or make it to work, I'm wasting the little money I have for something that has not been my fault and I have done everything on my power to get this situation resolve, it has been a plain nightmare for us with just losses and no resolution.
They last time I spoke to *************************** he stated that we have to pay the yard where the truck is being held after all of this has been their fault plain and simple the truck is 2 hours away from house and they are not doing anything to get this problem fixed. I'm also attaching the text messages from ********************* *************************** show he doesn't answer our call, it's their thing, there are many complaints from the other dealership that he owns it will all come to light he is a thieve and a scammer.

      Hello,

We apologize that our service did not satisfy your expectations. Upon looking into this case, it appears that the customer did sign paperwork where he put $5k down however the finance amount is well over $10,900. What the customer is referring to is the listed price of the vehicle in which he saw on an AD on ******** Marketplace from a Sales Representative. In no way was that listed price in the AD the final purchase price; as tax, tag, fees etc must be added. On the paperwork signed the only discrepancy was the fact that the customers first and last name were in the wrong slots. Upon discovering this, the managers drafted up the SAME paperwork, simply switching the customers first and last name to the proper slots. We have been trying to get the customer to come back to the dealership to sign said paperwork, however he refuses. Without the binding contract we are still the owners of the vehicle which is why we must insist on picking up the vehicle since he is refusing to sign the paperwork now. Tag work is done here in the dealership and can be redeemed here as well, hard plates and temporary tags included.

Managers offered the customer to renegotiate and come to a better agreement, the customer refused that as well. The customer has refused every attempt we have made to rectify the situation. At the current moment the vehicle is out for repo, the customer is being hostile and blocking the repo agent. The police have been called for the safety of the repo agent.

I am rejecting this response because: I signed a contract that somehow came up missing and the contract that I signed was for ****** so at most you would add on tax tag and title and interest well. They sent me a new contract to sign for $33,000 for a vehicle that has a ************* I thought that leaks needed engine work injectors were bad and the Cadillac converter needed to be replaced. The cops were only called because I called them to get an incident report and it wasnt for the safety of the tow truck company. It was because I need an incident report on them taking my vehicle before contacting me with a solution to my problem *** already sent in all the text messages between me and them and youll see that *** tried numerous amounts of times to resolve the problem. They wanted me to drive to ***** with a bag tag sorry Miami I refuse to do that, so I Sent them a message asking them can they give me a two day temporary tag so I could come down and get it figured out they told me no I could either drive it with a bad tag or they were gonna come take the car I sent all of those messages and an email to you guys already. *** tried more than once to numerous amounts of people Ive even asked where to pay my first payment and I have proof that I tried to get my tag legit and legal before I ever let the tag expire. sent them a message asking them can they give me a two day temporary tag so I could come down and get it figured out they told me no I could either drive it with a bad tag or they were gonna come take the car I sent all of those messages in an email to you guys already. *** tried more than once to numerous amounts of people Ive even asked where to pay my first payment and I have proof that I tried to get my tag legit and legal before I ever let the tag expire. The lady at the *** told me that they still havent done the title work so there was nothing she could do. I really do have proof of everything ** claiming and I have already sent it to you guys. At this point I dont want to sign a new contract I would simply want a refund and to be done with the situation. I dont understand why he had me fill out an online credit approval for the vehicle for ****** if that wasnt the closing price. I feel as if Im going to lose in the situation if I let it go any further. They came and picked up the car so I would simply like a refund. And I also sent proof that I even told them if they send me a contract for the price we agreed on. I would sign it and send it back. They refuse to do that as well so at this point please,I only want a refund.

      Sincerely,

      Hello,

Ads typically reflect the listed price of the vehicle. Each sales representative post either cash price of the vehicle or listed price of the vehicle. Upon speaking with the sales representatives, the details were disclosed. Sales representatives do not give out the door prices as they are not finance managers and unable to finalize that numerical value. The contract was never lost or altered numerically. The only adjustment that was made was the proper placement of the clients first and last name. The contract you signed in store is the same contract that was ***** to you with the name correction. It appears upon receiving the ***** is when the client decided to pay closer attention to the details of the loan. In the text messages I've attached you can see where Auto Direct and its employees were more than understanding to the clients concerns and circumstances. We scheduled multiple appointments on various days for the client to come down to the dealership and rectify the situation however, the client always needed to reschedule. That is out of our control. We were also very understanding with the situation involving his son and continued to be patient. All of these attempts were made prior to the expiration of the clients tag. Due to the lack of urgency to rectify the situation on the clients end is why the vehicle needed to be picked up.

I am rejecting this response because:
I did an online approval for $****** for the price of this car and I signed a contract for $****** for the price of this car. If the contract is still the same as the first one why couldnt you give me copies and why is there no contract at all? I went down to the *** to try and get a tag before my tag expired. I even got a hold of you guys to let you know what the *** told me and I got no response I have all of the messages from all of you guys to prove every word that was said, and Ive already turned it into the Better Business Bureau so the conversation is already on file. At this point there are too many discrepancies with the car and way too many problems for me to pay $****** for a car that needs a new top, engine work, injectors, a new rear axle, the cosmetics on the car is completely horrible, and the inside is completely trashed and it rains inside of it every day! The price was for $****** and I was approved on the online application that I filled out for this car, so at most it shouldve been an additional tax tag and title plus interest, and from ****** it definitely wouldnt add up to ****** so at this point I would just like my money back please and thank you and Im sorry for all the inconveniences!

      Hello,

I have attached more of the conversation our managers had with the client showing our best efforts to resolve the situation amicably. I have also attached the original contract showing that the only thing incorrect is the name placement. It is clear that the client was told that nothing on the paper was changed besides the first and last names being placed in the right order. We cannot give you a copy of a contract that is not binding due to improper placement. Your first name simply needed to be placed in the first name slot and the same goes for your last name. To issue you documents with the incorrect information is improper. The client signed the original contract, and it appears, upon taking his time to read the contract sent to him, wants to back out due to him signing in store without properly reading his paperwork.

We provided the client the opportunity to give the vehicle back and get out of the contract. We provided the client the opportunity to come back and renegotiate terms and pricing. The client did not take the opportunities we offered. If you read the contract, I have attached the amount financed is noted as $16,766.00 after his down payment. The $33k the client keeps referring to his him totaling the price of the vehicle financed, finance charge, the interest rate of *****% from the bank and his $5k down payment. Please refer to page 6 for the breakdown. As you can see the original contact contains the same information as the contract sent to the client via mail, simply with the correction of the name. We have always been very transparent and honest. If the client does not like the deal or does not like the vehicle, for whatever reason, then he should not have signed the paperwork. There is no reason for Auto Direct to deceive our clients.

I went to the dealership they didnt have the items in stock after they said they did. They showed me a *********** applied to buy it. Five minutes after completing my application I noticed that there were three other people applying after me for the same truck and they were discussing prices. The situation seemed like a scam to me. Therefore, I decided to withdraw my application and asked for the form back and they explicitly verbally stated that they were not going to run my credit as I had immediately asked them not to. Now, two weeks later I received a consumer report that they did. They lied and compromised my credit score. Please advise!

      Good afternoon,

The procedure done by our Financial Manager was correct, as soon as they receive the credit application they go ahead and start the process while the client is closing everything up with our sales agent. Once you voluntary sign the credit application, we have permission to run your credit and start the application process. Our Finance Manager run the application as soon as he received it and by the time you deciding to not move forward it was already done. We are sorry for the inconvenience this brought. On 11/21/2022, I purchased a 2015 Dodge Ram **** pickup truck from, Auto Direct of Miami. In the transaction Auto Direct identified the milage on the truck as ****** miles. ** noted in their vehicle value summary prepared by Auto Direct, this inflated the value of the vehicle by $8,700. It also resulted in impacting final negotiated price and loan application. They also used this value on the odometer disclosure statement with the ****************.I am now in the process of selling the vehicle and noticed my current milage is approximately *******. I have not put ******* miles on this truck in less than a year. I suspect the actual milage at the time of purchase was more likely *******.

      Hello there,

Customer satisfaction is our top priority here at Auto Direct and we would appreciate the opportunity to address the feedback you've shared about your vehicle and post-sale experience. I have attached the additional documents in *************************** deal paperwork. It appears that single page she submitted had a typo on it however, every other document which was submitted and signed have the correct mileage on record. I have also attached the AutoCheck of the vehicle which reflects the date of purchase by *************** and the accurate mileage corresponding with that date and our dealership documents. Our apologies that one digit was missing from that one-page *************** submitted. Looking at the document you can clearly distinguish the "8" is the only digit missing, accidentally. If we refer to every other document in the binder the accurate mileage is displayed.

      Kind Regards,

      Auto Direct of Miami

The documents the business supplied do not match the documents I have.  I have attached seven more documents from the purchase paperwork that I received from the dealer, and all of them consistently state the lower mileage.  The documents provided by the business in their response are duplicates of the ones we have but with a higher mileage stated.

      Hello,

I do apologize once again for the misunderstanding and inconvenience. As previously stated, it was a typographical error in which one digit of the mileage was missing, never was it the case of misleading mileage at any point in time. However, I have provided the AutoCheck to the vehicle once again where you can see on the date sold it represents the actual mileage of the vehicle which the customer was fully aware of at the time of purchase. There is no way while purchasing a 2015 vehicle in November of 2022 that vehicle would have such low mileage given, the average yearly driven mileage is between 10k-16k. This is the simple case of one digit missing while manually entering information just as it appears that a typographical error was also made with the proper spelling of the customer's name as well. There was no malicious intent or hidden agenda but a honest mistake of ONE digit missing.

I am rejecting this response because: this was not a simple case of a clerical error.  This was a deliberate mistake made to inflate the value of the vehicle.  The misstated milage was used in my loan application to justify the loan amount and in the dealer's valuation calculations.  The dealer does not deny this and the records I supplied support this claim.

After reading many other customer reviews of this dealership, it is apparent they have a track record of shady dealings.  I would expect the dealership to respond in good faith to resolve the issue and not just say oops we made a mistake.  This fraudulent mistake inflated the value of the vehicle in a sales agreement which I was entering in good faith.

      Sincerely,

      ***********************

My husband found this company on ********* We live in ****** ******* and he spoke to several people about a truck when he got to the dealer the truck that he was initially Interested In was not available so they came up with this truck for him since he had traveled from ****** to Miami and it was 2 Hour Drive he wanted to leave with the truck, what happened was that they showed him a truck that had just come in as a trade-in, which was in bad shape. Since they told him they were gonna check the truck and he could not take it immediately he left for ****** but he did all the documentation and paid deposits and left. Apparently this truck had been in a big accident and it has many many many flaws. We have the truck in a shop and its been in that shop for about three weeks now no brakes the the tires were really bad mechanically horrible condition and my husband bought this warranty when he asked Dealer about the warranty they told him he had to make the first payment which was on May 5 in order for him to have the vehicle looked at. We are way too far to bring that truck in and its already cost ** over $6000 in repairs and it will cost ** more, we do not want this warranty which apparently they gave him which he didnt even understand because he doesnt speak English and also this is his first car in ***************** so hes not familiar with what to check he was charged **** for some thing that we cannot use so we want to get refund on this immediately and we no longer want anything to do with this dealer which is the worst dealer in the world No one answers their phone. No one calls you back. I have left numerous messages and no one calls you back the sales reps are horrible and just overall its a shady business. They also over priced this vehicle which is probably worth $8000. He got charged ****** for this piece of c***

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the 2014 GMC ************* that I purchased from your dealership on April 30th of 2022. As previously mentioned, I experienced engine failure within the first two weeks of ownership, which resulted in a total of seven months of repair time, during which I made payments on a vehicle that I could not drive.I also want to bring to your attention that I contacted The *************************, who issued the powertrain coverage on the date of purchase and was informed that the coverage has been voided as of 5/31/2022. This means that I am now left with a faulty vehicle that I cannot drive and that I have paid for repairs and labor costs out of my own pocket.I attempted to contact your dealership on multiple occasions to address this issue, but the numbers listed had full voicemails and no way to reach a live agent. This lack of communication and customer support is unacceptable and has only added to my frustration and disappointment.I am now forced to escalate this issue and pursue full reimbursement of the engine replacement and labor costs that I have paid on this truck. I expect your dealership to take responsibility for this issue and work with me to find a fair and equitable resolution.

      Hello there,

We apologize that our service did not satisfy your expectations. We set a high standard for ourselves and are truly sorry to hear that standard was not met in your interaction with our business. I have taken the time to look into your issues brought forward. I am sorry to hear that you had problems with your vehicle subsequently after purchasing however, we are a used car dealership and with every purchase we provide a Buyer Guide stating that all vehicles are sold as is. It states that we do not offer dealer warranty, nor do we provide a warranty/any repairs after sale. As far as the warranty being voided, that has to be taken up with The ************************* as we are not the ones responsible for the cancellation/void of said warranty. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us direct at *************************************** or ************.

      Kind Regards,

      Auto Direct of Miami
