Apparently, I was enrolled in a dissertation course and financial aid processed an aid package for the Spring Semester. Then 6 weeks into the course Financial aid withdrew the offer placing the course without funding, resulting in a bill due in the amount of $900.00. My academic advisor enrolled me in this 1 credit course for the Dissertation. The *************** informed me that Financial aid was approved and pending, and this was reflected in my student accounts. At no time between being enrolled in the course and attending was I notified by Financial aid or the *************** that there was an issue, flag, or concern about funding. This seems to be an ongoing issue since last year. Furthermore, these concerns were addressed to Financial aid, Student success center before the previous semester. The information given was misleading and/or not properly explained. Concerns that I addressed last year such as:Is there a point to continue the program due to timeline and/or credit concerns?Will financial aid cover the remainder of the Dissertation?Why did the Student success center, academic advisor, and/or department Chairs not bring attention to the matter about the progress with the dissertation to the student success center? Recent concerns that need to be addressed:Why have I been given two separate Department Chairs in the middle of a dissertation, not to mention my new chair informed me in Week 6 that she is no longer continuing as my department chair?Why did Financial aid withdraw funding that same day that I made a request for a transcript?Why was I not informed by Financial aid that my courses would not be covered before the term began?Why are funds listed by my Financial aid processor indicate that funds had already been dispersed?
