I had a roof put on Feb 2021 by Melbourne Roofing. I recently found 2 leaks in 2 separate rooms, called to see if someone could come out and help me with a shingle warranty claim and was told they don't do that. I called another company and they told me absolutely not, to get the original company out as they did the work and my warranty is voided if another company comes out. Called Melbourne Roofing back and spoke to someone else, advised I was told this is a labor issue and not a shingle warranty issue like I thought. I was told by the 2nd woman I spoke to they would call me back and figure out a time to come out. This was on Dec 18th. I hadn't heard anything by Dec 23rd so called and found their voicemail full. Decided to wait until the holidays were over and try again since still no word back. Called again today and voicemail is still full.This needs to be resolved.On 1/24: I tried to call again, VM STILL full. I got G&W roofing out to help because it's clear that Melbourne Roofing won't answer or return calls. We found the issue for the leaks and he explained its not technically a workmanship issue, but more a lack of detail. Throughout this conversation, the roof guy mentioned i had ****** Corning shingles. I told him I was provided warranty paperwork for GAF ********. He explained how he knew the difference, told me what he saw on my roof and showed me a sample of the shingle with the fabric tack strip and stated ****** is the only shingle company that does this, his company uses them and he's very familiar with them. So, now I find out the warranty paperwork I have is for shingles I don't have and is now useless if something happens.
