      After numerous "loss of service#issues, I was done with this service. I called to cancel and to find out how to get their equipment back to them.It took over 2 months to get them out to my house. In the meantime they are charging me $150 to remove their equipment. I tell them when they FINALLY SHOW UP, I will pay their fee. What to they do? TELL ME THEY ARE SENING MY ACCPUNT TO COLLECTIONS. WTF.This company has problems. So I pay their fee. It takes another few weeks of bugging them. FINALLY,I TELL THEM. I am charging you $10 per day for delaying removal of equipment. Shakes them up. *** comes next day to remove everything. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY. POOR SERVICE, SYSTEN GOES DOWN ONA REGULAR BASIS, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

      Data Stream (DS) is consistently falsely advertising "Reliable High-Speed Internet" with incorrect promises of being able to speak "to a knowledgeable and friendly Data Stream representative" if you call their toll-free number. Nothing is further from the truth. In Fauquier County, **, DS is a miserable failure, unable to maintain consistent, reliable, service (regardless if it is "high-speed" or not. Outages are frequent and often blamed on anyone and anything other than DS. Try and get help - no answer when **************** is called; leave a voice message, so what, no return call is received or you will hear "mail box is full"; send an email - or six - all you get are new "ticket" numbers with the "promise" that "Our technical support team will review your request and contact you as soon as possible", which never happens. While you're experiencing some kind of service disruption, DS Billing continues to demand payment for services not provided. DS is in a legal battle with Fauquier County, ** over breach of contract. Absent a substantial, reliable revenue stream, DS has partnered to DIRECTV to broaden potential customer interest - STAY AWAY!! There are numerous DS customers marooned with marginal service who are being forced to make payments for that poor service and the equipment that from DS. It's no wonder DS isn't accredited by the BBB - the volume of complaints would rival those of ******** STAY AWAY FROM DATA STREAM!
