I withdrew from the program on 6/28/2024 and was told you could withdraw anytime. My escrow balance was *******. PDR took on 424 dollars for two accounts that they were working on. I was told by representative that for those two accounts, I was responsible for 40 percent of total balance of the two accounts. I didn't have that amount in my account, therefore, they took the fees out and I was told that I am will be responsible for ******* as a balance still owed to them. There is not an itemization of fees so you don't know where the money they take goes to. It just states fees without any breakdown of fees.

Thank you for notifying Progressive Debt Relief regarding Mr. ***************************** concerns. Despite our diligent attempts to engage ******************** in resolving these matters, we regret to inform you that our efforts to discuss the issue over the past two weeks via multiple phone calls have been met with no response. During his short time in the program Progressive Debt Relief was able to settle two of his accounts shortly upon his enrollment in the program. We have provided ******************** with a comprehensive breakdown of our program, including payments to his creditors and all applicable service fees, through email correspondence. Additionally, a refund check for his escrow balance with Progressive Debt Relief has been issued as per his request, and his account has been updated to reflect closure of our program.

Thank you for reaching out to Progressive Debt Relief. We understand your concern regarding the recent payment that you scheduled. At Progressive Debt Relief, we are committed to providing the best possible service to our clients, and we always strive to accommodate their needs to the best of our ability. PDR was incapable of stopping the payment and would have accommodated if possible. If inadequate notice isn’t provided to the escrow provider, you may be unable to stop a payment from processing. ******* ****** request was made the same day that the draft was scheduled. The standard practice by the escrow agent is to request a minimum of 3 business days' notice for any payment adjustments or cancellations. This time frame allows them to make the necessary arrangements to prevent payments from going through as planned by a client.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this situation may have caused. Your refund was provided by your escrow agent as previously discussed, and your account is being closed with Progressive Debt Relief.

This company promises to settle your debts quickly. The issue is the more they settle for the higher commission they receive. They take their commission out first based on your balances and just settle for the amount you owe. I canceled with them on Friday December 16th, no response Friday. I finally get a response late Monday basically saying are you sure? I responded back immediately yes please send the amount left in my escrow back to my account. Now it is crickets again, they are not responding and have cut off my access to my escrow account.

Contacted Company in March, discussed Pay Day Loans with Tom who offered an appealing final solution to a never ending result! Well it's almost July and said payday loans are more than double equaling now $15,000. Originally was less than $7,000 between my husband and I together. And they are wanting to settle for $15,000? And take 40% of the 15,000 I would have been better off giving them the $1,300 a month and held back the interest. This feels like just as much of a trap as payday loans! The original agreement was them to settle at the $7,000 and us pay 40% of that! And here we are no closer to any help! We took out payday loans to make ends meet and here we are bubbling at the bottom of the ocean!

I have recently been made aware that two of my accounts have successfully been paid, with only one remaining. I was told to send a letter with a notary signature in order to continue with the last company but I want to just finish the program since I have been paying $176 for the past year and would like to be done. All I want is to close my account now and for this business to stop charging me monthly. I've emailed their customer service but have not been reached out to.

I hired progressive debt relief in July 2020. I paid them $229 every two weeks until Jan 2022. First, the amount of my debt upon entering the program and when they contacted the debtors was a lot hirer. So, once you are enrolled there is no communication unless you reach out to them. I even contacted them at one point because I couldn't access my portal. The response was sorry sometimes it works like that. One payday loan was paid off. I kept emailing about another one which was on my credit report. The response was ok, it will be next. So when my escrow had the money still nothing was being done. I called them and was told you owe fees. I am trying to figure out what these fees are and how much. I talked to two different people. Finally a third person who was the manager, said about 40%. This is first I'm hearing. So basically, this money sets until they get theirs. This made me mad. Then they reached out to another creditor the one in collections. I called and asked the man why I couldn't pay the whole amount because on my credit report. He said it would be better, but basically I should settle. Why did I hire them they are a company that tries to settle. Made me feel like an idiot. Also, one of my creditors reached out to me and I paid them. Progressive told me I must show proof to them. I am the person that hired them and I paid this debt. Why, do I need to prove it to them. I definitely feel like they are rude. I threatened them with contacting the BBB and hung up. I did not respond to their attempts at contacting me. They mailed a letter on dated Feb. 11, 2022, stating I had 30 days to contact them or I would be kicked out of the program. I want my $1000 dollars in escrow. I can no longer access my portal. I just want the money in my escrow account. Very rude and unprofessional.

Consumer Response /* (2000, 6, 2022/03/25) */ Progressive debt relief did settle with me by refunding 1/2 of my escrow balance. If the regular people, could communicate as effectively as the member of management assigned to my case there program would be better. They did totally resolve 1 part of my debt. Thank you for helping me with this.

Approximately 5 months ago I reached out for help with payday loans. I was contacted by a Tom who assured me that this was simple process and I would save monthly in the long run while paying these debts down. He asked for all of my balances for the four accounts I put in to the program. It seems though once in the program all account balances doubled or almost tripled the amount needing to be paid off. Apparently this company gets 40% of the settlement amount per debt as well as a monthly fee for money going into or out of my "escrow" account. To date I have paid $2330.05 to progressive debt. They have paid the debt off by $850.00. The settlement was for $1600 on this particular account. So far I have paid them far and above that amount. They have kept $714.29 for themselves. When I asked about this earlier this week I was told that they get 40% not of the settled and paid amount but the total account balance. That's absolutely insane and was never told me to over the phone.
