Business ProfileforOrlando stay accommodations

On September 14, 2023, ***************** of Orlando Stay Accommodations (***) contacted me and left a voicemail, asking me to call back. I did and he stated a business proposition: *** had need of unused vacation RCI weeks for incoming conventions, ********** and one other. He knew we had these weeks and didn't use them, *** would sell them to the convention authorities,and also the transfer cost of $399/week. He said they would sell those weeks within a month for a profit, though contractually it could take 180 days, and then take a further two months for reimbursement. I looked up *** on review sites, scam sites, and the like, and didn't turn up anything alarming. So I signed up and paid 6x$399=$2396. Afterward when I contacted ***, he said it was just paperwork that the responsibility for renting the weeks was turned over to a company called itravelvip.io. They sent a welcome email, supposedly set up an itravelvip.io site ad, and gave me a contact email and phone number.Despite several calls and emails to itravelvip.io contacts, I have heard nothing back. It is well beyond the 180 day window that *** and *** promised to sell it by.I contacted ***. They replied that the contract was with itravelvip.io, and said they had nothing to do with it. Also very interestingly, the *** email reply said that *** had no need of the rental weeks at the time *** contacted me as an *** representative. They did not respond to a follow-up question as to why their *** salesperson *** would contact me for needed vacation weeks if *** had no need of them.So it appears I fell for some sort of bait-and-switch tactic, expecting I was making financial arrangements with a company that looks legit (***) but signed paperwork stating it was for a second entity (itravelvip.io).Phone calls to itravelvip.io customer service goes to a lady who takes down info to pass it on. Emails to itravelvip.io customer service have gone unanswered. *** customer service disavows any responsibility.
