New roof was installed by Storm Recovery Experts 11/2021. I noticed the roof shingles looked wavey or had a wrinkled look. We called numerous times asking for someone to come look at our roof. Early March, supposedly someone came and looked at our roof when we were out of town and we were told everything was fine. Mid April we got a second opinion and were told by that roofer that the shingles are not bonding to the roof like they should and it was either a batch of faulty shingles or improper install. After we conveyed this to Storm Recovery Experts, they came out April 20th, and they then agreed that the shingles were not bonding and that they wanted to reglue them. We contacted Owens Corning, the manufacturer of the shingles, and they conveyed to us that you cannot just reglue the shingles because it would void the warranty. We were told that the entire roof needed to be redone, and all shingles and accessories must be replaced to maintain warranty. We have reached out to Storm Recovery Experts to verify they understand this, but they will not return our calls. They have not come out to fix our roof. They called to say they were coming one Friday, but considering no shingles/dumpster were delivered and the weather report was calling for rain the entire day, we knew that was a lie. We just had a home inspector come out and provide photos. It has been brought to our attention the shingles on one of our eaves are not glued down at all, the shingles are not bonding, there is improper installation, and bad shingles were used. Given the fact hurricane season is upon us, we fear water leaks and significant damage.
