Purchased 2 4L65E transmissions in January. Picked them up end of January and installed the first one beginning of February. Within 3 months the first one broke. Attempted to contact the shop multiple times to utilize the 2 year warranty but could not get the shop to respond for weeks. Had to take the car to another shop that showed this transmission was just a basic 4L60 and did not include any of the upgrades I paid for to have the 4L65E. Attempted again to contact the shop to return the second one as it was not what I ordered and they just keep ignoring me. I emailed the shop and the admin meant to forward my email to the owner but instead replied to me so I know they are receiving my communication and choosing to ignore me.Initial Complaint

We purchased a transmission from the company last August with a 4 year warranty and unlimited mile. We had an issue with the transmission prior to it being installed and so we reached out to the owner. He stated on many occasions he would come out and repair/replace it and he never showed. Three months later my husband put the transmission in anyway and had many issues with it, we got tired of having our truck down that long so we had it towed to a body shop, the body shop stated what we already knew. The transmission was bad. We contacted the company and he advised us if we wanted a refund that we must take the truck out of the shop removed the transmission from the vehicle and wait for him to have time to come inspect it. Due to our vehicle already being down 8 months total we cant wait any longer on this owner who isnt coming.Initial Complaint

We brought my son's truck to the shop on November 15th for transmission issue. We were told an estimate of $2,400 and I to 2 week's time wise. My son supplied his own rebuild kit and even helped work on the truck, we were charged $3,000 and paid in full. We got the truck back on December 15th only to return it the next day because it was leaking transmission fluid and wouldn't shift into gear. As of now it still hasn't been worked on, we've been told numerous excuses and was even lied to by **** because I messaged him asking if he started on the truck and he said he was at the shop working on it not knowing that I was at the shop waiting on him. When I told him I was there and he was lying he became verbally abusive. Now I can't get any response from text messages or phone calls.Business Response

Order was placed the 2nd week of October-2022 and I was promised by, both, **************** that the transmission would be built in **** days & shipped 3-4 days thereafter. Once they had the money, no status updates or communication were provided. I reached out to the company, who assured that they'd ship the transmission the last week of October-2022. That week came and went with no updates. The first week of November-2022, several attempts were made to reach the company. I was met with a lot of "we'll call you back"; but no call backs were received. They were not truthful and said the transmission was shipped out on 4 occasions (when it was not). I contacted ***** Express (the shipping vendor) who confirmed that no shipments or pickups were seen on the boards from ProSource HP Transmissions since 11/04/2022; to note, the Bill of Lading number that was provided by ********* was not a tracking number. Tracking numbers aren't provided until the item is picked up. When I finally did get a call back on 16-Nov-2022, ********* alleged that they only had one builder (****) who was sick and didn't want to talk to me. When ********* finally got **** to take the phone call, he hung up (16-Nov-2022). I called back to ask for an update; but *************************** up on me & blocked my number (16-Nov-2022). Email was sent (no reply). When I called from my phone number, it went straight to voicemail. When I called from a different number, I got through. When text messages were sent via iPhone, the messages were blue. You're blocked on iPhone when the messages turn green... *** they were green. We cancelled the order and requested a full refund via email and text (from the number that was not blocked). As of the date of this complaint (12-Dec-2022), the refund has not been received and no further communication has been received from ProSource HP Transmission on the alleged refund.Business Response

Customer cancelled order on day of shipping after we already built transmission. We had it ready for pickup by carrier and confirmed with him that he did not want it to ship.
We would normally ask the customer to wait for us to sell it to someone else first then issue refund, but in good faith we told them to file chargeback dispute to get his money back quicker.
Yesterday we called our own card processor and they stated the customer was reimbursed through his card company for $1900.

I am rejecting this response because the company is grossly misrepresenting themselves as evidenced by the attached text messages. In their response to BBB, the business stated that I cancelled the order on day of shipping, which would have been Wednesday 16Nov2022. But in the companys reply,Friday 18Nov2022 was the date that they wouldve shipped. So one can infer that the transmission was not built; nor was it ready to ship on the day I requested a full refund and cancellation. The last communication from the company was 16Nov2022 via text. I was never contacted or notified by any form of communication that the transmission was ready. I did not receive a tracking number; theres no way that I could receive one because the company blocked my numbers and would not reply to voicemails, emails and text messages. They never told me to file a chargeback dispute as evidenced by the text message where ********* stated theyd send a refund check. If they allegedly told me to file a chargeback in November2022, why are they JUST now contacting their card processor on the status of a reimbursement? Due to the companys history in their lack of response and me being out of a significant amount of money without any updates, I took it upon myself to notify my financial institution because I was not confident that the company would be proactive and initiate the refund as requested. What their card processor is allegedly seeing is a dispute credit that was not initiated by them. The business response is not satisfactory. Desired Settlement/Resolution:
* On good faith and as promised by **************************, $200.00 refund to original form of initial payment (see attached text message).
* Company needs to accept this complaint as accurate and complete as written. This compliant needs to remain filed and attached to any other name changes the owner decides to use in the future to prevent other customers from being victim in the future.
