      We recently got our puppy, Sonny from Petland in Largo. We worked with a lovely young lady, Abby. Abby was very pleasant & shared alot of info with us so we will be well prepared to care for our new addition. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because I think the prices are a bit steep @ Petland. From the price of the new puppy to retail prices of food, treats & toys for him.

      I am filing a complaint against Petland due to misrepresentation and failure to honor verbal agreements regarding a Bull Mastiff puppy purchased from their Largo, ** location. The salesperson falsely claimed the puppy was from his personal dog and promised to take him back if we couldnt care for himthis was untrue. We were also misled about the veterinary care provided; the puppy had an undescended t******* (cryptorchidism), a condition requiring surgery that was not disclosed at purchase.Due to financial hardship and health concerns, we responsibly surrendered the puppy and are requesting a full refund to the original credit card. We are also currently filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy, and this expense has worsened our situation. We believe Petland acted unethically and failed to disclose vital information. We are asking the BBB to help mediate a resolution.

      We take claims of misrepresentation seriously. All of our team members are trained to provide accurate information regarding each puppy’s origin, health status, and veterinary history. While we cannot verify verbal claims that may have been made outside our standard documentation, it is our policy to ensure all health disclosures and warranty terms are presented in writing at the time of sale.

      Cryptorchidism, while not life-threatening, is a condition that sometimes develops with time and may not be apparent during initial health checks. In such cases, our Limited Warranty outlines steps for reimbursement or veterinary support when documented by a licensed veterinarian.

      We understand that your family is going through financial hardship, and we truly empathize with your situation. Our team remains willing to work with you within the guidelines of our warranty and return policy. While we are not authorized to issue direct refunds for puppies once they leave our care, we are open to reviewing all supporting documentation provided.

      Horrible, they scammed me by continuing to come up with excuses when it came to having my puppy shipped to my location. It's OK though, I'm going to handle it in my own way, the only way I know from from ******* ** ******** **.

      I am writing this review to share our unfortunate experience with Petland in Largo, FL. We recently purchased a tiny Pomeranian-Yorkie for $4000, We followed the feeding instructions given to us by Petland, feeding him 3-4 times a day. However, on the third day, the puppy began having seizures and foaming at the mouth. We rushed him back to Petland, who advised us to take him to the vet. The vet then instructed us to go to the emergency room, where we discovered that the puppy was hypoglycemic. He was given an IV to stabilize his blood sugar levels, and the vet mentioned he might have liver issues or other health problems that would require further testing to diagnose. Given the puppy's critical condition and the level of care he would need, we returned to Petland. We explained that we would not be able to provide the necessary medical care for the puppy and requested that they take him back. Petland refused. I reached out to Petland's corporate office, hoping for a resolution that prioritized the puppy's well-being. However, we were forced to take the puppy home, despite his serious medical issues and our inability to care for him properly. I am extremely disappointed with how Petland handled this situation. They displayed a complete lack of responsibility and compassion for the puppy's health, prioritizing profit over the animal's well-being. I urge potential buyers to think twice before purchasing a pet from Petland, as our experience has been heartbreaking and distressing. The life of the puppy should be the most a important concern, and it is deeply troubling that Petland failed to take responsibility for an animal they sold just days prior. ....this review was copied from my google review. the puppy died in my arms last night. I got up every 2-3 hours all through the night to try to feed him. They should have never sold this poor puppy!
