I am writing this review to share our unfortunate experience with Petland in Largo, FL. We recently purchased a tiny Pomeranian-Yorkie for $4000, We followed the feeding instructions given to us by Petland, feeding him 3-4 times a day. However, on the third day, the puppy began having seizures and foaming at the mouth. We rushed him back to Petland, who advised us to take him to the vet. The vet then instructed us to go to the emergency room, where we discovered that the puppy was hypoglycemic. He was given an IV to stabilize his blood sugar levels, and the vet mentioned he might have liver issues or other health problems that would require further testing to diagnose. Given the puppy's critical condition and the level of care he would need, we returned to Petland. We explained that we would not be able to provide the necessary medical care for the puppy and requested that they take him back. Petland refused. I reached out to Petland's corporate office, hoping for a resolution that prioritized the puppy's well-being. However, we were forced to take the puppy home, despite his serious medical issues and our inability to care for him properly. I am extremely disappointed with how Petland handled this situation. They displayed a complete lack of responsibility and compassion for the puppy's health, prioritizing profit over the animal's well-being. I urge potential buyers to think twice before purchasing a pet from Petland, as our experience has been heartbreaking and distressing. The life of the puppy should be the most a important concern, and it is deeply troubling that Petland failed to take responsibility for an animal they sold just days prior. ....this review was copied from my google review. the puppy died in my arms last night. I got up every 2-3 hours all through the night to try to feed him. They should have never sold this poor puppy!

I lost my best friend. My sweet little girl (passed away at 13 months old (I only had her for 9 months) and wanted to let Petland Largo know so they could contact the breeders and/or Mias (Female English Bulldog) siblings to hopefully get them help or care to save them. They not only didnt respond to my message sent to their inbox but blocked me from social media so I couldnt reach them or speak out. *** stopped breathing on 2/16/24 Rushed her to her vet within 7 minutes where they revived her. She was placed on Benadryl and prednisone for the week.4/5 days later a lump came up under her neck. Went from golf ball to softball within 45 minutes. They immediately put her on antibiotics and extended the prednisone. Her hair became brittle and course and bald spots within the week. Unfortunately only after 48 hours of antibiotics and Prednisone. I rushed to Blue Pear ER in **********, ** at 4am. Her temperature was ***** and they could not get her to cool down. Her organs were shutting down and I am unfortunately had to say goodbye to my little girl. I called Petland to tell them and was hung up on. I paid $10,000 total for her and only had her 9 months and when simply wanting to make Petland Largo aware they block and ignore me. Beyond devastated and worried about others.Review from Deborah F

I was heartbroken to see the Petland I got my last Fur Baby from - a reputable place back in 2000 turn into the ***** hole I walked into the other day, hoping to find my next forever Fur Baby. The place was a mess, the pets not being taken out regularly by staff to give the babies some love. I had one Fur Baby out in a play area because I thought she might be the one. She was clearly distressed & miserable w her care there, it broke my heart for her because she ran making a beeline for the corner of the play area & started scratching as if to say Mommy please get me out of here, I broke out crying & scooped her up & tried to cuddle her but because it appeared that she was starving I couldn't stop her from aggressively biting me which was not her fault. I asked the guy that supposedly was helping me(because he was no where to be found several time when I needed help w her) I had to request several times please bring me some doggy treats to feed her, she's clearly not able to behave because the poor thing when I gave her the doggy Biscuits I finally was able to get she ate like it was the only food she had in days & she had not one ounce of the cute puppy fat you should have at that age. How could she. The only thing he cared about was defensively telling me that all of them eat regularly & selling her to me but I couldn't even tell if she was a good fit for me because in the environment she was in it was ***** for her. Please somebody go save these babies. The staff is not trained at all to take care of these precious babies & I wanted to rescue her that day but I didn't have $8,000.00. The guy who was helping me didn't give a **** about those babies, he's a young kid who's clueless. Please send someone to rescue those babies. I left crying hysterically because I just lost my precious baby in August & haven't had one of those wonderful babies to cuddle w since then & I'm just heartsick of what I just experienced w how those beautiful babies are trying to cope in there, help. They shouldn't be taking care of anything living, much less those dear babies
