      I hired Elite Power Moves to move me from one residence to another. During the move, the one mover was into a phone argument with a female. He eventually left to go to his probation appt!!! Was not told a felon would be in my home. So the second guy, ******** was in my bedroom wrapping my furniture with moving blankets. 3500$ is missing from the drawer he wrapped! Also, a Magliner cart worth 600$ was also taken. I have Ring camera footage of the cart by the moving truck and when I contacted *******, he taunted me to call the police. I then sent him a still photo of the cart by the truck and he would not respond. I did call the police and they made contact with him and then his story changed to my boyfriend took the money. No way because it is our money. Second, now he went from not knowing about the Magliner cart to it is probably on the moving truck because it is identical to the one he has. He didn't have one on the truck. He had a dolly. I have tried multiple times to contact the business and left multiple messages. They have not returned my calls. My boyfriend needs the Magliner cart back because he needs it for his job. He is missing earnings due to not having what belongs to us/him. The money we will never get back.

      First, regarding the Magliner lay-down cart: the item in question has been returned to the customer. We made every effort to resolve that specific concern promptly once it was brought to our attention.


      Secondly, as outlined in our signed service agreement, customers are expressly advised to remove all valuables or fragile items from furniture and other contents prior to the move. This includes, but is not limited to, cash, coins, gold, jewelry, important documents, and other items of significant value. Our policy is in place to protect both the customer and our employees, and to avoid disputes regarding missing valuables.


      Regarding the allegations involving our employees personal matters and conduct during the move: we understand the customer's frustration and are reviewing internal procedures to ensure that all representatives of Elite Power Moves uphold the highest standards of professionalism at all times. However, we must note that we cannot accept responsibility for cash or other valuables that were not secured as per our moving contracts stated terms.


      We regret that the customer feels dissatisfied with their experience and have taken this situation seriously. We remain committed to providing professional and reliable service to all of our clients.

      I am rejecting this response because: the Magliner cart was repeatedly promised to be returned after they denied having it. Only after I sent them still ahots of it by their truck did they admit to having it. It was supposed to have been returned to us on 5 different occasions  and finally returned when they replied to you!!  Their is an open police report and investigation into that and the cash. I am still requesting a reimbursement for the total cost of the move. They took my entire day and took money, the cart that they replaced only after they were contacted by the police and shown pics of the cart. I am also missing 2 boxes!! This business has 6 formal complaints and the owner and I use that term loosely l, is also a listed owner for several other businesses in the area and all are questionable.

      On January 19, 2023 this company was hired to move my son to a new location. The representative who took my call for the move asked questions about the number of rooms to be moved, the type of items needing to be moved, the location of the new place and if there were and packing items needed for the move. All of her questions were answered and a price of 500 to 650 was quoted for an 4 hour job. I offered for them to come to the apartment for a inventory but rep stated it would not be needed. The problem stated as soon as the movers arrived to the apartment. ***** began to tell me how he is the supervisor and he was misled by the office about the job. He complained that the job was not explained to him and it could be more of a charge than what was stated in the quote. They hadn't even lifted one single item and he was already telling me about additional cost. Red flag number one. After an hour into the move, ***** began complaining again and just talked and talk about contacting the office because they only care about booking the job and not about the movers to match them for the proper job. This went on so much the whole time they were there, his partner **** whispered to me that he is talking to much and he wished ***** would just work on the job and stop talking so much. **** felt his partner was wasting time. ***** continued to show me photos on his phone of other jobs he has completed and this was not how he would have booked this job. I told him I really didn't want to keep going over and over about the job and who dropped the ball. I just wanted to get moved and on to the new location because time was adding up. ***** just made me feel so uneasy about the whole situation as if this was something he does on the job. He tries to put you at ease as if he is going to look out for you because the company failed to be upfront and he is going to do what he can to keep the cost down but he kept stopping to have this conversation meanwhile the clock keeps ticking. Then he would ask for water, which I didn't mind at first, but then it became clear it was another reason to stop working. After finally arriving to the new location with only an hour left on my agreed time, ***** approached me and my Son to advise us that if we paid him and his partner **** a tip they would stop the clock and load the last 5 items. At this point I am so upset that a job that should have only taken 4 or 5 or even 6hours at the most cost me over 850 dollars and they had the nerve to ask for a tip after breaking my items, and running the clock.

Should they have contacted us prior to writing this I believe we would have been able to come up with a fair resolution and avoid this complaint altogether. 

      Estimates given are based on the information provided by the customer and on the assumption that your house or business is packed and ready to move upon arrival, unless packing services are noted above. Estimates are given to inform you of approximate costs and allow us to schedule movers appropriately. Actual charges reflect the time spent on your move, plus boxes, packing supplies, fuel, and any other extra charges as noted on your estimate. The actual move *** go quicker or take longer than the estimated time based on the customers preparedness, factors not disclosed, insufficient inventory list, greater walking distance, heavy traffic, bad weather, and/or any other unforeseen factors.

      It is never our intention to deceive customers with an estimate. They are given NOT as a guaranteed price range, but as a way to provide the customer with details about our hourly rate, fuel charge, and any other applicable fees that *** apply to their move. The price range is something that is calculated by our software based on the inventory given and is not tweaked by our sales representatives whatsoever. 

      I would like for the customer to contact us directly so we could figure out the best way to move forward. We were not too far off from the original estimate so I believe we could offer a small discount to get the customer closer to what they had originally expected.

      I am rejecting this response because:It sounds as if they are putting the blame on me the customer. I spoke to the person who presented himself as the Supervisor about my feelings. It was his job to make it right and inform the company. The details of the move were gone over and if the the representative refuse the invite to inventory and come and inspect how is this my fault? I feel the movers took advantage with the complaints about the company he represents and just talking so much his co worker became upset. He exasperated the time and then tried to guilt a tip. I paid for a move and not a counseling session with all the  complaints about your company. If your own workers are dissatisfied what do you want from a customer. Yes I would like part of my money returned and  that would be the very least you could do.

      Elite Power Movers debited my card ****** unauthorized without my permission to so from *************** card when I told Serra I'm on paying the ***** and they not authorized to charge my debit card for no other purposes. I don't have an agreement my Mother -***************, setup a move for box moving on 1/2 around 7pm and she cancelled within Jan 3, 2023 within 24 hours , Elite Power movers called on 1/4 and debited my card without my permission, and this is theft. ******

      To Whom This May ****************************************** was scheduled for moving services on 01/04/2023 with an arrival time between 8 AM-9 AM. She requested to be placed in our schedule and provided her credit card information for the $50 deposit required to secure her slot in our calendar. Upon booking our cancellation policy is thoroughly explained. We also require our customers to sign their estimate upon booking which also provides them with our cancellation policy and specifically states: "All jobs require a $50.00 deposit upon reserving your date. All deposits are refundable for cancellation made within 72 hours of your scheduled move. Deposit will be applied directly to your moving bill. Cancellations made within 24 hours are subject to a fee up to 50% of the estimated total cost." 

      As shown in the provided email thread PDF, *************************** emailed us on 01/03/2023 at 10:16 PM which was the night before her scheduled move. This falls within 24 hours of the scheduled move date and is subject to our 50% fee of the total estimated cost ($155.00). No one was in the office to receive this message as it was after hours. Scheduled lot times are sent out to our crew members the day before. Our crew members arrived to our lot at 7 AM to prepare the truck. Our office does not open until 8 AM so at this point we still have not received notice of the cancelled job. They got dispatched out to ******'s pick up location for the job and drove from our lot in *****, ** to her home in *************.

      Unfortunately, we are unable to waive our cancellation fee as we still have to pay our employees for showing up for work prepared to get the job done, the time spent preparing the truck, and for their travel time to and from *********, **. Our cancellation policy is thoroughly explained verbally while booking and ****** electronically signed her estimate stating she understood this cancellation policy.

      12/30/2022 Hired the company to move my daughter from ******** to *******.Quoted $800-$900 (that's with a fuel charge of $465.99)Day of move 2 movers showed up 2 hours late. Worked very slow moving anything. Most of the time 1 mover was missing leaving only 1 working. This is a 800square apartment moving no appliances or TV. The move took over **** hours, costing double what we were quoted. Spoke with 2 different people at the office and both promising a call back and a resolution to this and nothing. Movers continually kept saying how much more this was going to cost. Maybe had they worked it would not have. Sofa has black stains on it, and broken glass wear. Cost $1800.00 for moving a 1 bedroom apartment that is 800 square feet and over ****hours. Price Gouging, horrible customer service, poor quality of work

      Elite Power Moves was paid for a service. Elite Power Moves is a corrupt, dishonest, unprofessional moving company that tries to inflate costs buy using inexperienced unprepared and unprofessional movers performing unacceptable jobs at a snails pace. Elite Power Moves notified a collection company claiming no payment received. See attached receipt of payment to consumer by Elite Power Moves. The additional funds said company is alleging are owed were added afterwards as a poor attempt to inflate costs.

      We did not inflate any prices. We provided this customer with an estimate for her move that was based off of the items that she stated needed to be moved. When giving quotes over the phone we thoroughly explain that the services provided are charged at an hourly rate and that the estimates given are calculated based on the information she provides us with. We also go over that there are many things that can affect the accuracy of a quote that is given over the phone such as, but not limited to: the customer's preparedness, bad weather, insufficient inventory list, greater walking distance, heavy traffic, and/or any other unforeseen factors. This verbiage is also included in every estimate which was signed by Ms. ******. Upon arrival to ****** ******'s apartment, she has a considerable number of additional items that needed to be moved which she did not disclose to our sales representative during the booking process. Due to the additional items she requested to be moved and the greater walking distance the total time it took to complete the move was 8 hours and 39 minutes instead of the estimated 5 hours and 30 minutes. The customer wrote a check that she immediately stopped payment on. We attempted to contact her multiple times via phone and via email to come to a fair resolution. We offered her $181.27 off of the total cost of services which would've brought her total cost very close to the original estimated price range we provided her of $550-$650 with despite the drastic difference in the services we performed for her. She would not return phone calls and insisted in her emails that she only pay an additional $401 on top of the $49 deposit she placed. That would be a total payment of $450 on a job that we quoted and she signed and agreed to at the price range of $550-$650. Unfortunately, we could not agree to such a large discount on the move. The estimate, contract, and all emails clearly state the hourly rate and give detailed information on services provided. Due to non-responsiveness from the customer, we sent the account over to collections for the remaining balance. We do not have the ability to make any correction to her credit report as that is out of our line of work and not within our scope of practice. I have included the estimate and contract that was signed by ****** ****** and I have included all email communication with the customer in my response.

      I am rejecting this response because: the job performed was less than requested by the company. The movers were unprepared for the job due to the lack of communication within management of this company China and her husband. Once I showed the very detailed expectations of the job including every item to move they confirmed they received a itemized list and acknowledged being unprepared. The movers asked for tools to dissemble parts, took an excessive amount of time parking, loading, unloading their truck, making multiple person phone calls unable to adequately manager their time proficiently. As a result family members loaded and unloaded truck at both destinations. The movers performance was unacceptable.  Should have paid consumers for doing the majority of the job they were paid to complete. The neglectful actions of this undesirable company damaged furniture, walls and doors. The dishonesty of this company is demonstrated by the collection letter showing no payment received by said company. The receipt provided by company clearly shows payment of $450 as originally agreed upon. Again this company is dishonest, unprofessional and unethical. My desired outcome is listed in my compliant. Save yourself, do not use this company!

      The $401 check payment was put into the system after the account had already been sent to collections because it was received after the 30 day period. We updated the account with the collection agency to reflect the $401 payment we received from Ms. ******. The itemized list the movers had was not complete because the list was what Ms. ****** gave us over the phone when providing her with a quote. Items were missing from the inventory list the movers had because Ms. ****** did not disclose the full details of the move to our sales representative over the phone. We do allow the customer to help the movers if they would like to so they can cut down on cost and lower the total charged time since it is an hourly rate. Our movers come with trucks fully stocked with blanket pads, shrink wrap, dollies, and toolboxes. The original estimated price was $550-$650 and the estimate was signed by Ms. ******. To date we have only received a total of $450 paid by Ms. ****** and a balance due remains on the account. We offered a 20% discount to ****** due to the dissatisfaction she had with the services provided, however, due to the job being much larger than explained to us over the phone we are very limited in what we can do. We are unable to correct any credit reports as that is something that must be handled with the collection agencies themselves and is out of our scope.
