      One of my daughters received treatment at the ** during an Oct 2021 visit to Florida. Since this time, HCA erroneously charged me for services that were covered by my insurance. Since Oct 2021, Ive been told that the issue is taken care of at least 7 times, the most recent in June 2023 by a billing supervisor. I was advised this issue was taken care of until I received another notice of billing on 12/9/23.I dont know how else to make someone correct a system issue. Im exhausted by this popping up every few months, then HCA acting like they dont have the notes of all the times Ive called

      I am rejecting this response because:

      In reference to my complaint against Largo Medical Center/HCA.  I hold my complaint as is,  I was a patient in their facility with no advocate.    I was under very heavy pain medication and had no one to explain or choose a doctor.  ********************************* assigned to do my surgery,   no one was there to advise me of future care after the surgery. I would think a patient heavily medicated on pain medication. The hospital and Doctor would have morals about my care after the surgery.   So yes Largo Med/,,HCA and ****************************** are

      responsible for  the lack of my follow up treatment.

      I had hiatal hernia surgery on 6/29/22. I spoke with the Anesthesiologist and my grown daughter was a witness. I asked for a bite block as my dental bridge was loose. (I had two previous procedures, with bite blocks, within a couple months before this prcedure) The Anesthesiologist asked me to wiggle my teeth, stated they don't have bite blocks, and made a statement, "you will leave with you teeth". I had a simular conversation with his nurse. She looked at my teeth, promised the hose would never touch my teeth. I asked several people for the bite block, they all said they didn't have one. Not being a medical professional, I trusted I would leave with my teeth. Upon discharge, a nurse handed me 3 front teeth and made an inappropriate statement, well at least you didn't swallow them. I live in utter horror every day. If ANYONE had said this is a big risk, I would not have had the surgery. Two very great ladies investigated my case and showed great empathy. They stated another person was taking over and had been investigating the case. When she finally called, she was abrupt, and ****, and said she had not started the case. She stated it would be about 60 days. Several weeks later, yesterday, I called to see how the case was progressing. She stated she had not even started the investigation. Still being very rude and uncaring. I told her I requested a copy of the bite Block and loose dental work, policy, procedure and protocol. She stated she would see if they had one. I told I was not stupid, all hospitals have standard of care to follow. She said well you have to request it. I told her I did. She stated amoungst the rwork I sent her, she did not have the request. I told her I took a photo of everything I sent. All of a sudden she found it. I asked how long this whole case would take, she said, no idea. I asked for her supervisor's name and number. I found out today, she gave me the wrong information. The lady stated she was not even her supervisor or in her depart
