    A meeting room was rented on 4/22/2023 for a repast for *************************, recently deceased Mother, Grandmother and Aunt. The meeting room was hot with the ** set at 80 degrees or higher. The shift manager on duty ***************************, was asked to turn the ** down. There we few butane burners warming the food for the mourners. When *************************** came in the room he immediately shouted at the mourners saying they have open fire in HIS hotel and that is why the place was hot instead of the ** being set too high. The servers began to put out the burners and they asked him to turn down the ** because the place was hot even without the burners being on. He then proceeded to shout at the mourners. He was advised the burners were just lit and the room was hot prior. *************************** began a belligerent tirade and was rude and disrespectful to the mourners. He then asked them to leave once the mourners advised him that his attitude, and tone (he was shouting at the mourners) was not proper customer service. He then proceeded to call the cops and lied to the cops that the mourners were grilling on open flame in the meeting room. The mourners packed all the equipment and left but a few stayed to speak with the police. While they waited the mourners attempted to speak to with *************************** to have a calm conversation with him, but he was still aggressive with them. He was asked for copy of the rental contract and which he did not provide, and he was asked for the senior hotel management contact, but he kept insisting it was his hotel and he was the owner. ***** also advised since the room was no longer available to the mourners the credit card that was left on file when the room was booked would not be charged. Sadly, that was not the case as he proceeded to charge the credit card on file for the room rental.

    On January 13, 2023 I was set to check in to the Holiday Inn and Suites in Lanata, FL. I called the property the previous day (Jan 12) to confirm my reservation was pay at the property and I was paying with a credit card when I checked in, not the debit card I held it with. When I checked my bank account the morning of January 13, $361.58 was deducted from my account by Holiday Inn and Suites before I even stepped foot on the property. I called at approximately 7:00 am and told them my issue, They said I would have to call back at 10:00 am when the manager, *****, arrived. because they were not authorized to refund me. I called back at 10:00 and they said he was still not there, call back in a half hour, and he was aware of the situation and will refund me. I gave him an hour and called. They told me he was in a meeting and could not come to the phone. I asked for a manager as I will be a guest in their hotel in a few hours. She put me on hold for about 5 minutes and then hung up. I called back twice and they picked the phone up and hung on me each time. I called back a third time and a man got on the phone and said ***** can not come to the phone, at that point, ***** grabbed the phone, very agitated, and said how can I help you mam you have been calling me all morning. I told him my situation and he said it was not his problem I could not read the terms and conditions. I told him I was not even checked in yet to read the terms and conditions and my account should not have been debited. He then abruptly told me there are no rooms available for me this weekend and that I was not a welcome guest at his property. I told him all I wanted to do was pay with another card, and he kept repeating that I was not welcome. He was belligerent this whole time. while I stayed calm. I had this reservation for a month and confirmed it the day before. He still has not refunded my money and my husband called him twice and he has not returned his calls.
