    I ordered a specific remote for an older TV. They sent me a replacement without telling me the original remote was out of stock. The only notice I got was a note that arrived with the order that said to try it anyway. The replacement is a cheap remote that I could buy elsewhere for less than half the price. This place is a scam. I want a full refund and I should NOT have to pay for return shipping because they never should have sent this cheap item in the first place. Disgusting business practice to try and pull this garbage on honest customers.

    We have been in email communication with this customer regarding their order. On August ********* he asked for a resolution of a partial refund and this was completed the same day and an email was sent to him letting him know. On August 26th (the same day) we received this initial complaint and brought this to the customer's attention. He stated :"I will take the $13 refund so I don't have to bother with the return. You can tell the BBB we have an arrangement.

    We are happy to discuss further an alternative resolution please reach out to *******************************

    Better Business Bureau:

    The company talked to me, and we reached an agreement. I consider the matter resolved. However, their practice of sending cheap replacements instead of the product ordered is unacceptable. I hope there is something someone can do to prevent them from continuing such shady business practices in the future.

    Purchased a remote from this business after looking for an exact model and trying to avoid other manufacturer remotes or universal remotes. They send me some other remote that i can find far cheaper and does not have all the same features with a letter telling me to try the remote and i can just ship it back if i am not happy. What a waste of resources/time and a burden on the environment.They should be out of business for their deceptive business practices. Now i have to hope they even process the refund or deal with the card issuing bank to file a complaint.

    We received an email from this customer on 6/21/2023 to let us know there was an issue with the merchandise he received.  We have resolved the issue direct with the customer and have already issued a full refund back to the original payment at the time of the order.

    I purchased a remote online from remotecontrols.com. The advertisement was for a genuine OEM Samsung remote control. When I received the remote it was a cheap 3rd party knockoff and clearly not a genuine Samsung remote. They sent a letter saying that, and I quote: "Your original remote is not available but there is no need to worry. Enclosed you will find a full function replacement remote. Please note this is not a universal remote. We have sent you the best replacement remote available so you can fully control your unit." All this time, they are still advertising that a genuine OEM Samsung remote. This company seems to make it a business practice to charge OEM prices to customers and sell them a cheap knockoff as some kind of scam to make more money.

    Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/08/19) */ Hello, I have reviewed the customers order and the Merchandise he received is 100% authentic Samsung Remote Control. At times, parts change due to manufacturer technology changes and this is the case for the customer however the compatibility is still 100% and the merchandise is a factory issued product. We will however gladly take any merchandise back that our customer's are unhappy with. A prepaid return label has been emailed to the customer so that it can be returned for a full refund.
