      On May 22nd, 2023, I dropped my 2.5 year old 16 pound dog off to get her spay procedure. When is arrived to pick her up I was as given medication for her pain. The first 72 hours she was not able to have any bowel movements. Then finally was able to on the 4th day. After that came a series of vomit, and diarrhea with no appetite for the remaining 3 days. Her incision looks as if was stitched unevenly. When I called to ask to bring her in for a post op. The owner Maureen told me that she has no doctors and was currently going through a “transition”. I explained to her that my dog was doing just fine before I brought her into surgery at their location. She told me “it could be a blockage from the surgery”. I said well that is something that you should be liable for if there is a blockage because it’s caused by the surgery. She told me “well what do you want me to do I have no doctors don’t know what you want me to say”. Very unprofessional and rude. This is complete lack of care and patient negligence. She told me to go elsewhere to get her check and I told her but I’m going to have to pay out of pocket for something that was caused by your clinic and she stated “sure”. I said that’s wrong and if there is something wrong with my dog who is not eating for the past couple of days then it’s your clinic who should take responsibility. She proceeded to hang up the phone. I would like her to reimburse me for the bill I will have to pay when taking my dog to another clinic to get checked because the post op visit should absolutely me covered by the clinic whom did the procedure.
