The contract created by Painter1 indicated a specific color from the Behr paint color swatch. Painter1 of Boca Raton specifically purchased the cheaper alternative paint and color matched the swatch to cut down on costs and quality at the expense of the customer. Not surprisingly, they did use the more expensive Behr paint on the smaller trim?!?! The color looked slightly off, and shortly after, I had to have work done on my house. When it was primed and repainted, it looked completely different than Painter1s work. They lied about matching and said it was because they believed it was a better paint, later she told me that they put it in the wrong bucket?!? So a professional painter with 6 years of experience thought it would be a better idea to attempt to color match, voiding the warranty, then to use the correct paint. Worse yet, she never responded back until I requested a quote on the website. After going through the universe of excuses she had concocted, she agreed to have her project manager come out and give me a QUOTE!?! under the condition that I REMOVE a bad review that I posted on Angies?!?!??!. I want to be clear, the owner attempted to strong arm me into changing my review in order to rectify her breach of contract. The project manager was incredibly abrasive, said they werent going to do anything and threatened me and my family by saying I know where you live. This is not the first time, just the first time she was caught. She has customer service experience as a franchise owner, but she is by no means a professional painter. I contacted the corporate franchise office, but they declined to confront her. Painter1 excuses: The paint store was out of stock of the colorThis was a better quality paintThe color code is the same for color matchingThe paint store put it in the wrong bucketThat wasnt me that was my receptionist, she thought you were a customer (text message)
