On May 24, 2023,an employee of Bath Planet of Orlando by the name of ******* **** came to my residence to provide a free quote on a bathroom remodel. During this visit ******* had what I was told was a soft credit check to see if I qualified for their in house financing. I was approved for over ****** dollars but would only need a loan for *****. ******* left my house and we thought everything was good and we would be in contact if we were going to use their company. Days later I received a text message asking to acknowledge the loan amount. I will take ownership that I missed understood the message, acknowledge the message and ultimately signed a contract. After realizing this mistake I immediately called Bath Planet several times over several days. I spoke with an employee **** ******, who was extremely rude and unprofessional on the phone. After several demands to talk to the actual boss, I made contact with ****** *******. ****** seemed extremely empathetic of the mistake but also explained his side of the business and the legality of it. I told him I understood and I guess we were in business since I could not cancel. For months I reached out to bath planet to get status updates. No response. Calls, Text, emails and the work was never completed at my residence.December 2024, the ***** dollar loan went into effect. ********** advised since this was an indirect loan I am responsible. No work has been done to my home still to this day. All I am looking fore is for the loan to be removed from my credit. I worked hard for my credit score. It should be noted, May 2023, I had over ***** dollars in my bank account to pay for this renovation in full. A lone was not necessary. I had no reason but they convinced me to check for the no interest. I am asking the BBB to help me have this negative hit to my credit be removed and the loan company go after the business. They scammed the loan company in my name and never did the work. Thank you.

In June 2023, **** Planet issued a contract for a bath-to-shower renovation. They came out to measure the area and said the work would be done later in the fall when the materials to do the job would be coming. The fall months went by and no information was given. Meanwhile, the "no-interest loan" was started with ***** and we started paying on it. In November, we found that out Bath Planet had fled the area, the offices were empty, and even the company that provided the materials for Bath Planet said they never received an order for the project and had been trying to contact the company themselves, to no avail. The loan company, *****, was notified about this and they began an investigation a couple of months ago but have not given us any results yet. we have paid $1200 to ***** so far.

I ordered a tub-to-shower conversion on 7/3/23 and as of 10/22/23 have had no results after a $10,000 deposit. I contracted for a glass panel and shower door (ADA) and now they say they can't do it but will only refund $300 and want me to buy a shower curtain instead. On top of that, I see them advertising for installers (NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY)! This job involves a fiberglass pan, fiberglass surround, and plumbing work. I am seeking a full refund of $10,000. Also, they changed the shower pan to a 32". My tub is 36". This change will make the drain off-center. I sent an email asking for a linear drain to be connected to the existing drain. No answer. It is past the 14-week install date, they do not respond to questions, and they are looking for inexperienced people.

I signed a contract back on July 13, 2023 to have two bathrooms redone with Bath Planet, Atlanta. I put down deposit and materials should have been in Oct 17th. Called today to see what status is and no numbers are valid or are disconnected. Called Corp office in IL and they said that is a franchise and they have received many calls about no service or communication. People have driven by the office and there is no one there - this company took our money and bolted. The one is Atlanta and Orlando both have disappeared and not even responding to their manufacturers. Please help to get money back!!

I am following up on original complaint re:Bath Planet franchise for Atlanta and Orlando. I got the owners phone number, and Daniel and I spoke and although he no longer represents Bath Planet, he did the right thing and completed my project today for both bathrooms. He sent a crew to finish the remodels as contracted and completed the work to my satisfaction. I would like the complaint marked as resolved or no longer active, as he did now complete the contracted work with his crew, albeit as an independent contractor now.

The business took 6500.00 for services they did not intend to do in the timeframe specified.
******* ****** ****** ********** came by agreed to install the tub conversion within 6 weeks. An agent came out 24 hours after the cashiers check was deposited, to measure the bathroom. she called and stated the materials were in stock she would be in contact with us for the install date and never heard from anyone again. We started to call the Agent and the Company phone number. Because our install date was upon us. The only contact we were able yo obtain was to set up another sales pitch.
After emails and calls for three weeks an Nia M******* sends random email but never answers any of our questions or concerns.
We saw on WSBtV. Where they took other money and signed folks for loans they did not request. We no longer want to do business with these folks.
We are requesting a full refund and hoping that the you all or CFPB shuts them down.
These services were needed for medical reasons not vanity.

I have been cancelled on twice now for my new shower installment. The first cancellation, I was only notified the day before and the second one was cancelled the day of, which I only found out about because I reached out myself. I was told both times it was due to "family emergencies." I was told it would take 10 weeks to get the shipment of my supplies. I had to reach out a couple of times to get updates and many weeks after that and I was finally told the shipment was damaged and had to wait for another one. I also waited 8 weeks for the extra money from my loan to be given to me. I had to reach out 5 or 6 times to ask if the check was coming and each time I was told "they would send it now." I never received it in the mail until finally I was told I needed to pick it up. Their last email to me said that they will reach out when they can to get me rescheduled. I sent an email expressing my concerns about a week ago and have not heard anything since. I purchased this shower in full through a loan at the beginning of April. I paid a little over $13,000. Ideally, I would like to just get a full refund and be done with this company.

I gave Bath Planet a deposit of $12,340 on July 14th which they cashed and haven't heard back from them. I reached out and got an email stating that they Bath Planet was experiencing unexpected issues that are causing the company as a whole to have a delay. I reached out to BCI Acrylic who sold them the franchise and was told that they have cancelled Bath Planet of Orlando and Bath Planet of Atlanta, they're franchises because on non-payment and being unable to contact them. Both these locations are owned by DB with five other gutter and bath companies in GA and FL. I requested my deposit back because they are unable to do the work without the product from BCI Acrylic who manufactures all the supplies for Bath Planet franchises. Every single complaint online for these Bath Planets tells their customers to reach out to NM, customer care coordinator, but she does not answer the phone and is located in GA. I drove to Bath Planet in Apopka, FL but the mailbox is filled with mail and the business looks as it is closed. I want my deposit back because they are unable to fulfill my contract since there is no way they can get the tub, shower and walls because they were all products that were only sold by Bath Planet of BCI Acrylic.

I signed up with Bath Planet at my home on May 20th, the salesman was Matt W******* who advised me after the sales pitch that would be 8 to 10 weeks before they could start, I said okay, then he set up financing and it was approved, On May 23 I received a document from the ******** Financial stating that ****** ***** was requesting authorization for $5100,I texted Matt to ask if ****** ***** and Bath Planet was the same, he said yes. So I did authorize it because ******** said it would hold the finance agreement in place, as 10weeks was approaching I had not heard from the salesman or the company, so I started reaching out to Bath Planet on July3, no answer, I also contacted Matt still haven't heard from him, July 5th called Bath Plant no answer. I started calling again on Aug1st also sent emails, no response called again on Aug8th no response, then I received a statement from ******** requesting payment on Aug23rd so I contacted them to let them know I would not make that payment since I cannot get anyone to set up installation or even return emails. After talking to ******** on Aug9th, Bath Planet sent me another email pushing the day out to 10 to 16weeks so, I cannot trust this company, They go by different names and 2 different addresses and they have telemarketers taking their calls. ******** told me that the installer will be requesting another disbursement and I would have to pay, I told them not pay out any more money for something I do not have and that I do not want to do business with a shady company, I feel like they took advantage of me being a senior citizen and my good credit, and said I could not cancel the contract after 3days so that is why they requested $5100 on May23rd,to lock me into an agreement. ******** says everytime I call them that I'm on recorded line, I hope so because I tole them not to disburse any more money.

Signed a contract on 7/27 to have (2) bathroom shower renovated with BathPlanet of Orlando,
which they told us we could finance for $0 down and no Payments for 18 months. They ran a credit check and were approved for $36K which the total amount of these 2 bathroom renovations were $30K. The salesperson and the contract states we could cancel the order within 3 business days.
The next day we decided to not proceed with this work and contacted them vis phone which we could not speak to the office manager, Kaye and the Salesperson, Ryan could not help us.
I received the actual contract via email on Saturday, 7/29 which shows they already had funded this company and the owner, Daniel B****** the entire amount of $30,000.
We had to text in writing this cancellation and spoke to them on Monday, 7/31 after we found out they had received the entire amount of the approved loan even before the 3 day cancellation timeframe. I contacted the lender, ***** (Division of ****** ****) and filed a complaint with them. As of today, 8/14, 2 weeks later than when we cancelled this contract in writing with them, and they still have not yet returned the money to the lender.
I have been sending emails to both the lender and the parent company with no response.
Had they told us once we signed the agreement that this company would get the entire amount of money even before anything had been ordered or measured, we definitely would not have taken a loan out. I am 65 years old and retiring soon with excellent credit and do not want this to come back to bite me down the road. They do not even put any email address on their contracts so to send them anything in writing to cancel or amend a contract is almost impossible.
I need help getting this resolved and closed. This company to me is not honest in they way they portray themselves or their process.
