Owner is rude and condescending. Unwilling to accept any responsibility for a recent vacuum cleaner cord repair that failed. Refused to fix the issue unless customer admitted the problem was hers. Pretty much feels that equipment not purchased at his store is inferior. He's got a major attitude problem dealing with customers. I would not recommend this business to anyone. Not worthy of one star.

Having worked for The ****** ** for almost 8 years, managing their **************** Centers in Northeast ******* and being a ****** Warranty Center for almost 20 years myself when a customer pulls hard enough on a ********************** cord to pull the wires loose from the body of the vacuum most major manufactures consider this misuse and not an item covered under any warranty guidelines, as we also do.The vacuum was originally brought in for repair due to the customers husband had misused the vacuum and pulled the vacuum cord loose. Again, what the **mpany who built the vacuum considers Misuse. She was charged an agreed upon price to do the repair. Work was completed. Around three months later she came back in with the vacuum and the cord had been pulled loose again. She admitted that she had done it herself but acted as though it was our fault that she misused the vacuum and pulled the cord loose again and wanted us to repair it at no charge, not learning from the first experience that vacuum cords are not meant to be pulled on.Obviously if she had not misused the vacuum and pulled on the cord similar to how her husband did there would have been no reason it would have come loose again. They dont come loose on their own.Our policy is if you break it twice you pay to have it repaired twice.

Owner is the most obnoxious person Ive dealt with in YEARS! I brought my Oreck vacuum in to have the power cord replaced because it had come apart. Vacuum still worked fine but my son does the vacuuming and wanted to ensure he didnt get shocked. Asked owner for a longer cord install and he told me he could get it doneHe then convinced me the vacuum should be serviced every two years and I havent ever had it serviced, so we agreed on price. Fast forward 1 monthI stop into the shop to check on my vacuum and owner is on the phone. I hear an elderly lady inquiring on a repair of a Dirt Devel vacuum and the owner tells her you are obviously an uneducated consumer and your vacuum is junk. Why dont you come in and get educated and Ill show you a quality vacuum. I was disgusted Some nickel-dime shop owner disrespecting a senior woman He hung up and I asked about my vacuum. He told me the board is bad and hes waiting on parts. I asked, why take on a repair if youre incapable of the repair? He proceeded to tell me that I must not watch the news theres a circuit board shortage worldwide son, theres nothing I can do. Keep in mind, I brought the vacuum in for a cord I asked what board? He told me theres a bad board in the vacuum, they only cost a few cents, but he dont have one. I left the store. Fast forward another 1 month I stopped into the store today to pick up my vacuum. He told me he still doesnt have the part and asked what do you want me to do?. Now Ive been without a vacuum for 2 months, I told him Im taking my vacuum and Ill pay him for the cord. He starts yelling Im gonna call the police so I told him to please call, Im leaving your store with my vacuum. He said Im going to take my parts off before you take the vacuum I told him I will pay for the cord and gave him my credit card. He proceeded to run my card and attempted several times so I told him I better not be double charged! He so arrogantly looked over to me and said I

In the first part of Mr. ******* complaint, he states that his vacuum worked fine before he brought it to **** Then he goes on to say that he had never had it serviced, both cant be true at the same time. As the attached service information states. Many customers do not even know they need to have their vacuum serviced for them to clean well. This information was shown to ****************. This is when he thought it was a good idea to have it serviced. It appears as though **************** thought I did something wrong recommending he maintain his cleaning tool properly so he would get better cleaning results in his home. My experience has been most customers are very happy with better cleaning results. Some repair work requires some things be fixed before other problems might be diagnosed. Imagine a flat tire or a car starter having to be replaced before a tech can diagnosis a motor issue or drive the car to check for a steering issue. This is the case in the vacuum repair business sometimes. As **************** stated the vacuum was originally brought in for a cord issue.Once my tech installed the new cord and was able to run the vacuum, he noticed that there was a circuit board bad that needed to be replaced. **************** had agreed to a service and cord replacement up to $ ******. I also noticed **************** being very critical of a phone conversation he overheard I was having with another customer without even hearing what the customer was telling me on the other end of the phone. Im sorry he made assumptions without getting the whole story but appears he jumped to conclusions with only part of the information. Possibly this is just an honest difference of opinion. I was taught that I should not be critical of other people before I knew the whole story. He also seems to have little respect for small business owners, the people who built this countrybelieve his words are nickel-dime shop owners. Once my tech told me the board was bad I inquired with my two national parts distributors that I get Oreck parts from. Neither had the board in stock. The price of the board was minimal to us and I was going to put the board in at no additional charge just to finish the job, keeping the repair ******************* under the $ *********************************************** Most other customers who find out that they got a free board are pleased and thank us believing they got a good deal. Our experience these days with getting a lot of the repair parts, especially the parts coming from China is very hit and miss. Its hard to get any information from a lot of the companies as to when they might arrive. This was the case with the board needed. As **************** states we did tell him that there were issues with us getting the part we needed to complete the repair on his vacuum and there was nothing I could do till Oreck provided the part needed. He did not appear to know this was a worldwide problem. This is the same thing we are having to tell people almost daily no matter what brand they have. I understand this can be frustrating to the customers and like I told **************** I would be happy to have my tech take off the parts we had put on and he could take the vacuum without charge. We are offering this to every customer who is waiting. Like he states, he decided to wait longer. Like he says he came in about a month later. Nothing had changed. Oreck had not got the needed part into my part distributors yet. When I told him this he got angry and kept asking me how he was going to vacuum his house almost appearing as though he thought I could make the needed part. He repeated that statement numerous time, each time raising his voice a little louder. Again, I told him I would be happy to have my tech take off the parts we had already put on and he could take the vacuum at no charge. As he states I asked him what he wanted me to do. **************** then picked up his vacuum and walked towards the door as if he was going to leave with the new parts without paying for them. Thats when I told him if he did I was going to call the police as he states. Why would I make a statement like that if he was going to pay for the parts, doesnt make any sense. After he realized I was serious about calling the police he stopped at the front door and came back to the cash register and said he would only pay for the cord like he says in his complaint. I took this to mean he was not interested in paying for the other parts that we had installed in the vacuum. Once again trying to leave my store with more items than he wanted to pay for. I then told him that he would have to leave the vacuum for my tech to take out the parts he did not want to pay for. Looking angry he agreed to pay for those parts also. While I was charging his **** he made the comment to me that he was going to contact **** and have all the charges cancelled. I took this to mean that his intent was to end up with my products without paying for them, similar to a shoplifter leaving a store without paying for the merchandise.
