According to the BBB Code of Advertising, when using the terms warranty or guarantee in advertising, the advertiser must clearly and conspicuously include a statement that the complete details of the warranty or guarantee can be seen prior to sale at the advertiser's location or viewed on the advertiser’s website. Any material limitations or conditions that apply to the warranty or guarantee must be clearly and conspicuously disclosed. BBB requested that the business add the terms of its warranties and guarantee wherever they are advertised.
Its website states "We are licensed pest control operators and certified residential contractors" and includes the logo for the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) under Affiliations & Accreditations. The primary responsibility for truthful and non-deceptive advertising rests with the advertiser. Advertisers should be prepared to substantiate any objective claims or offers made before publication or broadcast. Upon request, they should present such substantiation promptly to the advertising medium or BBB. BBB requested that the business provide written proof of current licensing, certification, and membership with NPMA, but did not receive any documentation.
