We contracted with Greystone to remodel a small 9' x 15' kitchen at a cost of $30,822. The project began 07/09/23. The contract was signed in August 2023 and completed on 1/19/24.We requested to have the paint and flooring remain the same, this request was made to Greystone in writing prior to our signing the contract; so new paint and flooring were not quoted for the job. The paint on our walls was damaged during the project.Painting Concerns Greystone contracted to have a painter come in to touch-up paint on the ceiling. The contractor did not mask the area, and the white ceiling paint was left all over the walls. Greystone refused to correct the damage done to the paint on the walls. One of the features included in the contract was an under-counter appliance shelf with the installation of a new under-counter outlet. The contractors installed the new counter tops before installing the new outlet. Consequently, the contractors (without authorization) drilled a hole through our dining room wall to access under the counter to install the outlet. The drywall was repaired, but Greystone refused to complete the job by touching up the paint. The paint issues were never resolved. It cost us $350.00 for an independent contractor to come in and correct the work.Sink / Garbage Disposal Additionally, we requested to have the existing garbage disposal reinstalled with a new single basin sink selected for the project. After the new sink and cabinets were installed Greystone told us that it would cost an additional $1,500.00 to replace the plumbing due to the sink change. This cost should have been disclosed during the design and contract phase of the project.Follow Up Greystone advised that at the end of the project, they would be following up to take videos and solicit for feedback. However, we have not heard from Greystone after the final invoice. None of the follow up videos or in-person reviews promised have been scheduled/engaged.Review from Luke M

I had my bathroom remodelled by Greystones and I am impressed with their excellent job. I had the shower and garden tub removed, linen closet and a walk-in shower installed. They also installed a new vanity, countertop, medicine cabinet, light fixture, and commode. I made changes, added things while they were working and asked them to do more and their reply was always the same: sure thing. The nicest people I think I've ever dealt with. The project cost was a bit higher than the initial quote but overall it was a very good experience for me. I highly recommend them for any remodelling work.Review from Leonard C

It is always great to work with people that only wanted to see other people happy with the work that they do. I am really happy as well as my family about how the whole kitchen turned out, one of Greystone Kitchens designers came out to my home, measure the kitchen, and now we have the kitchen of our dreams and very affordable, thank you all.Review from Stella C

My family has been looking to remodel our house for many years and we finally did it. We were recommended this company by some friends as we didn't know where to even start with the addition but this company made everything painless and easy. We had so many changes and request throughout the process and each time, they were fully accommodating to change to our needs.Review from Rick and Nancy M

We are in the middle of what Greystone Kitchens told us was a simple remodel. It is not going well. They broke our 2 slabs and want us to agree to use the remnants with no adjustment in the full price we already paid. We are giving them 1 star but hope they can turn things around so we can give them many more stars as the workers have been terrific. It is the owner/management who is not being upstanding at this time. Beyond the slabs there are other issues, we won't list yet, in order to give them the chance to make things right over the the next few days. We have our fingers crossed, professional rationale can kick in making this nightmare turn into the pleasant project we know it can be. Either way we will check back in to add stars or give more details to protect others.Review from Andrea S.

**** Martin, owner of Greystone Kitchens, has no business holding a CRC license. Anyone thinking of doing business with him and his salesman, *******************, should be warned of their incompetence, deceit, and terrible communication skills. I wish we had been warned of this before signing a contract with them on October 8, 2020, to have all of our home's windows and doors replaced. The central reason we chose Greystone to replace our windows was because they assured us they would install them using a "jump frame" method which would avoid the destruction and added costs of cutting back our exterior trim work and coquina. We were told our project would be completed in December, 2020. Our windows and doors were delivered in February, 2021. **** had ordered the wrong windows and some were never ordered at all. While further delays were experienced due to their ordering ineptitude, they moved forward with replacing our doors. The level of incompetence was astounding: our back sliders were so out of alignment that we couldn't lock them, the back pool door was installed backwards, and our front doors were literally held in place by 5 screws and some wood that had been "jimmied" along the bottom. Daylight filtered in both above and below them. Our reordered windows arrived in mid-2021. We were told that ****** "jump frame" installer had decided to retire. **** failed to find any other "jump frame" installers. He only found installers who would cut away at our home's exterior. ****, very unprofessionally, also decided not to install 3 of our contracted windows because they were "too difficult." The anxiety, stress, and frustrations we've experienced with Greystone for 17 months has been awful, and one of our worst decisions. **** is now trying to ***** us for the extra costs he incurred installing our windows the only way he could and which in no way honored our contract. To **** us for the cost of his mistakes is unconscionable, unprofessional, unethical, and unforgivable.Review from Amanda K

These people are the biggest scammers. Please be aware and stay far away from this company. They seem great until you give them money. If there is an issue that needs to be resolved they will start dodging your calls and blowing you off. I know several people that have had the same issue. They have stolen thousands from me.Greystone Kitchens Response

With all due respect, **************** We find your statements to be dishonest. We designed and proposed a $50,000 remodeling project for you, and you signed a contract with us. After attempting to move forward with final design and material ordering (2 missed final design appointments 1 that we needed to reschedule and 1 that you needed to reschedule) we were notified by you that a personal situation was requiring that you cancel your project. This was 90 days after the contract was signed and deposited received. While we had every legal right to retain the full $10,000 deposit that you made, as per the signed contract that you agreed to, we instead refunded $7000 to you, retaining only the funds that had been incurred by our sales design, commissions and subsequent new project administrative costs ($3000 was commensurate with our expenses on your contract up to that point). While this refund took several weeks to confirm and approve, we did offer an extremely fair refund based on our costs of designing and contracting your proposed project, and thankfully we had not ordered major materials. We regret that your family situation changed and forced a change in plans, but at no time have we EVER been scammers or stolen anything from anyone. I dont believe you are affiliated with any others that have experienced contract cancellations or refunds with us, other than your mother, who received a full refund of a proposed and contracted project. For her project there were structural limitations and building codes that would have prevented us from moving forward, which we identified quickly and offered an immediate refund, though we did continue designing and presenting additional options that were feasible once the additional structural information was understood about her home. Your refund and her refund are the only complete contract cancellations that I can remember having in almost 15 years of the remodeling work that weve been involved with. I find your review offensive and dishonest and I believe it should be deleted in its entirety.
