I met with *** ***** on Monday, March 21, 2022 to discuss having some shelving built around my fireplace. At the time I was told by *** ***** that he was about 60 days out for project completion. On April 4, 2022, I took *** ***** his required deposit of 50% of the 4500.00 project price. I received the contract and was told he was still at 60 days completion. On May 23, 2022, I called the company and left a message that I just wanted to touch base and make sure we were still on schedule. I received a return call on May 24, 2022 informing me the timeline has been pushed back to July because of unforeseen delays. On July 5th, I called and left a message that I needed a call back about my project. No return call came. I called again on July 11th. I explained that we were way passed the contractual deadline and that I needed Floyd to call me or my husband and explain to us what was taking so long. I also said at that point that I wanted to cancel the contract because it had been breached by Floyd. *** ***** stopped by the house on July 26th to say that he was running behind on his projects but would get to us when he could. He said, "Things happen." I mailed a breach of contract letter on July 27th demanding my initial deposit of $2,250 be returned by August 15th. Floyd has not contacted us nor returned our money. If the money is not returned, in full, we will continue on a path of legal remedy.
