    I came back in pain after an initial consult a couple years ago having been referred to *** *********

    The last time I visited this office, I asked specifically if I should return to them for antibiotics and related pain relief.

    In the time since my initial visit with their office, I went to no other provider for dentistry and in fact have recommended her to others whom have subsequently become patients.

    After I had concluded my visit, which was for pain relief and moving forward with impressions and dentures, I went to the adjacent pharmacy where our family regularly have medication filled.

    I arrived to find that the pain relief prescribed was not compatible with my current medication, I went back to *** ********** office to clear it up and seek an alternative but was brushed off and told that there would be no compromise.

    At this point, I'm apprehensive to continue doing business here, but understanding this decision would go a long way. I really want to believe the best about this.

    I think the work provided is technically sound and outside of this issue have had a very good experience with the Doctor and staff.

    After our patient and his wife came back to our office from the pharmacy requesting pain medication instead of 800mg Ibuprofen (which is pain medication), they stated that he can’t take ibuprofen with his history of heart attack and blood thinner.  They were told we would get back to them.   Jill called and spoke with both patient and his wife and explained that starting to take the antibiotic prescribed will start taking care of the infection and gradually minimize the pain.  The reason ibuprofen was prescribed was because during update of med hx of the patient in the room, patient told doctor that the only change in his med hx was that he was no longer taking Clopidogrel (blood thinner).

    The treatment necessary is removing the teeth not the pain medication and a day or two of prescribing pain medication would not make a difference.  We do not prescribe narcotics for extended periods of time.  

    We were not aware the patient was feeling slighted in our explanation since we did not receive any calls with additional questions or concerns so we hope this helps.

    We hope he is doing well and we will be seeing him soon after his extractions for an adjustment.
