I visited this establishment today 1/28/2022 to have my radio replaced in my BMW X5. I paid $400 for an amp bypass and to have a new amp installed. My car was finished a lot faster than I expected which was great! I asked the lady at the counter if I can check the radio before I made the payment and she was okay with that. I went to the passenger side and she went to the driver side. She grabbed the handle but was unable to open the door. I told her that it wasn’t like that before I got there and she gave me my keys for me to leave after I paid. I asked her to have my car checked again because the workers were able to get in through the front door but now it don’t open from the outside. They took my car back to the work area for another 45ish minutes and the lady returned stating that it’s nothing that they can do and that I can take it elsewhere. I advised her that I don’t break my vehicle and I shouldn’t be the one paying for this and she didn’t say anything. I asked for the number to speak with someone regarding this matter and she asked what I needed to speak with someone about and I explained that this is unfair to me. I spent $400 for my radio to be fixed now I can’t get in my front door. I asked if she owned the place or if there was a corporate number and she stated she owned it. I left and on my way home I heard air (like a window was down) I attempted to roll up my passenger window and it fell down when I tried. Now I can’t secure my vehicle and I can’t get in my car! That is a safety concern being that I am a single mom of 3. I have to open my door from the back door and honestly anything can happen. It’s JACKSONVILLE!! I called to report this incident and an officer met me and told me that because it’s a civil matter there isn’t much that can be done unfortunately. I shouldn’t have to pay for the damages caused to my vehicle! They can rip the stuff out and refund my money at this point because this shouldn’t have happened!
