    I was a customer with ********************** for ** years. In the last 6 years, I paid 3 years in advance for service. They had my credit card on file to automatically charge me every 3 years. This last time however, they never informed me that my bill was due AND they never informed me that they had doubled my rate from $300 for 3 years to $725 for 3 years. I didnt know this until I saw my credit card bill. I immediately put a stop on the charge but after an investigation, I was forced to pay the $726 due to the fine print in Globats policy that says they must be notified 30 days in advance before the bill date. I was never informed of this and the policy wasnt in effect when I started with them. Also, my service date wasnt for another 2 weeks anyway. I was screwed out of $726 for nothing, and Globat wouldnt return my money.

    I'm sorry to say that I have not heard from Globat.  Enclosed is a letter I sent to them

    both by e-mail and U.S. mail.

     

     

     

    Dear sirs, I had been with Globat for 20 years.  Without informing me, Globat doubled my cost
    for service. When I saw the price increase on my credit card statement, I immediately stopped
    payment to my Mastercard and then ended my connection with your service.   I have been told
    that I still owe you over $700 for service that I never received nor used.   In other words, you
    are charging me for nothing.

    I am a 75 year old retired firefighter living on a $24,000 a year pension.  My website was a labor
    of love for the history of our city, and I never made a dime from it.  Any extra money I had went
    to pay for my website, and when the price doubled, there was no way I could afford it.  Had I
    been informed of your price increase, I would have ended our relationship right then and there,
    but because I was never informed, you are now holding to your policy of cancellation .  I dont think
    it fair and not only that, but my service period still had weeks before it would have officially started.

    Also notice in your information below, it states: Our products and services automatically renew for the
    same term length and use the payment method on file at the regular rates reflected in your account.
    At that time it states that "Regular Rates" were  Standard Shared Hosting Package

        1 year - $179.40
        2 years - $334.80
        3 years - $466.20

    So even if I wanted to renew, I should have paid $466,20 ..... and not over $700.


    I am asking you to do the right thing and refund my over $700 for service that I never used.
    I'm this far from going to food pantry's, and I cant afford an over $700 loss.

    I am also enclosing my two e-mails concerning my payment for 3 years in 2021 and your cancellation
    e-mail to me.

    Below is the payment I made 3 years earlier.  This is close to the fee I was charged for many years.
    Globat doubled this payment without telling me and charged my card.  When I started with Globat,
    there was no fine print about notifying them them 30 days in advance to close the account.  I never
    received any mail from them to say their fees were doubled.
