    I own a house at *************************** in Hudson, 2 months ago when that storm came through it flooded out my house and in the process of that a shed broke loose on the property and hit the side of the house and broke the water inlet pipe and water was shooting all over the place, we had to leave the property because of the flooding and I shut the water off because of the emergency situation. When we got back to the house a couple days later we realized that the water meter box was leaking really bad, I called **** at Hudson water works talk to him and gave him the address on two different occasions over a period of two weeks both times he told me the water meter was not leaking, I told him I could send him a video of it leaking and he said that wasn't necessary, after the 4th attempt of me trying to get Hudson water works out to my house to fix the water meter leak they finally realized they were going to the wrong address by their own mistake.This water was leaking for over a month at my property because of the incompetence of **** and ******* at Hudson water works, when they finally came out to my address the water box top was off, I did not take it off and there is no one living at the property because of the flood that had happened at the house, we are in the process of renovating the house so it is livable. One of my neighbors apparently was so sick of seeing the water leaking down the street every day that he took it upon himself to turn the water off and left a note on the door saying that water is a precious resource and it should not be wasted and that I needed to take care of this problem, meanwhile I have been trying to take care of it with **** and Hudson water works for over one month. If this problem had been taken care of the first time I called this entire situation would have been avoided, it was due to the incompetence and the ridiculous amount of time it took them to get out there to finally fix the water leak.I did not take the top off the water box, as I said one of my neighbors was sick of seeing the water leaking all the way down the street. I tried to explain this to ******* and **** neither one of them wanted to even hear a word I had to say all they said was too bad you need to pay the fine end of story. So not only did we have the horrible situation of our house flooding but now we have to deal with the wonderful people of Hudson water works finding us $175 for something we did not even do, it was almost as if they took pleasure in doing this because they didn't even want to hear anything that we had to say as far as to why it happened and the fact that we had nothing to do with it happening. I feel it was extremely unprofessional and wrong in many different ways that they did this to us and the fact that they wouldn't even listen to me at all made it even worse.I feel both ******* and **** at Hudson water works acted unprofessionally And almost as if they had some sort of an axe to grind with us meanwhile we have never had any interaction with them ever before. That storm created in overwhelming situation for my family and the fact that Hudson water works ******* and **** both made that situation a lot worse for absolutely no reason of our doing, I would like a refund and I think it is pretty reasonable for me to feel that way given the situation I have just described If you would like to contact me for any reason you can reach me at ************.Thank you for your time and consideration on this matter.***********************

    1. ************** called our office to complain about a leak at the meter. At this time he informed the office he has been turning the water on and off while making repairs to his home. This is a violation of HWW policies. ************** could have been fined at this time for not having a work order done and instead doing this himself. 

    2. High usage on this account started before Junes meter reading and the Hurricane was on  August 30th 2023 (about 3 months before the hurricane hit) 

    3. Small leak at the meter on the curb stop was due to being turned on and off by someone other then HWW.

    4. When HWW went out to investigate complaint of leak at meter,  the meter box lid was found laying in the yard , not on the box. This creates a major liability for HWW. Due to his admitting he had been turning the water on and off and the lid was found not on the box,  the $175.00  fine stands and will not be removed.

    Re: Hudson Water Works My bill isn't due till the 15th. I stopped in personally to pay my bill with cash. The bill is $50 and I only had $48 cash on me. They denied my cash and said they don't do partial payments. I reminded them bill is current, not past due, not even due being I was in their office 7/12. I tried explaining I have new bank cards coming to me and the cash in hand was all I had at the moment. They denied a $48 cash payment on a $50 bill...to impose and collect a late fee. If you read ****** reviews, you'll clearly see this unregulated privately owned company, has many tricks such as this to slam customers with unnecessary fees. The further up you go in the chain of command, the worse it gets professionally. Gross behavior in all honesty. The residents of the Hudson ******* area, are held hostage to this privately owned utility company. Are we to sell our homes to escape an unregulated corrupt utility service? Absurd is what it's been for THOUSANDS of Hudson Water works customers. A one star review must be given in order to write a review on ******* Every customer HATED having to even give them a single star rating. Not to mention the THREE rate increases imposed on us just this year 2023. My usage is 1000-1200 gallons a month. My bill went from $21 a month to now $60.42. The residents of the Hudson Beach area are genuinely held hostage to this criminal way of serving us a water utility.

    Bills are due in full as stated on the back of the bill per our policies we cannot accept partial payments. Bills are not late until after the 15th as we explained to you when you came in. Our rates have only increased 1 time since November 2020, not three times as above complaint states. We also read the water usage in thousands of gallons. Also, since the person stating this complaint is a renter and not property owner, please have the owner of the property contact us with any and all complaints as we are MEMBER owned. Thank You

    This place charged me 750 for removing my water meter which they could of put a lock then broke my pipe reinstalling which I can't prove so I paid ove 300 to fix then charged 175 dollars because the plumber that did the repair turned the water on to test his repair and said that's tampering with the meter which wa ls still leaking on there side anyway so I called them back out to fix which is why they said I tampered with the meter they are bullying customers and stealing money theu fines and false accusation as well as mistreating people through all and any means of customer service communications

    Mr. ***** did not pay Hudson Water Works monthly bill for 3 months (90 days) per our policy the water meter was removed for non-payment (October 2022).Mr. ***** was required per our policy to pay a reinstallation, deposit and service fee of $800  when he chose to have water service reinstated. (Jan 2023). Hudson Water Works did not break Mr. ***** service line when the meter was reinstalled. Any repairs from the meter to the customers house is the responsibility of the home owner. When Mr. ***** plumber made his repairs he created a small leak on the meter apparatus and HWW went back out and repaired that leak. There was no additional charge to repair the damage caused by Mr. ***** plumber. There will be no refund to Mr. ****** Please contact our office if you have any more issues.

    I have an account with Hudson Water Works, Inc. to to supply domestic water to my property at ****************************************************************** which they do. On 10/20/22 while Pasco County ************************* was mowing the grass they accidentally hit the water meter assembly and broke the pipe leaving the back flow preventer causing a waste of water. The water company was notified and they came and shut off the water. I was billed for that waste in the amount of $1240.00 which I paid not knowing that they were going to send the same meter reading to **********, *** the waste water company who is charging me $1353.42 for that amount that did not go through the system. they knew I was not responsible for the waste. I am asking you to help me to get this resolved and to drop the waste water charge as they did not have any water to process.

    As Hudson Water Works explained to you over the phone, we have a contract with ********** to sell them the water readings. It is your responsibility to pay for any water that goes through the meter, which you already have done.  We suggest you contact ********** about the credit you are seeking from them. Your complaint is with ********** the sewer company and not ** as we are separate companies. Please contact ********** as we cannot help you with this complaint thank you.
