Also paid for registration and Im a disabled veterans and was supppse to get the difference back from the amount paid didnt get that nor the registration for the car. We had the car for a couple months and the payment dates kept changing and the amounts as well. The car was repossessed and when we called to find out why they stated they werent doing business with us and we didnt have an opportunity to get the car back. Also one of their employees put our car under their personal insurance in order for us to drive it off the lot. We called and went there numerous times as to where I had to sign paperwork 3times and yet still wasnt given any.Business Response

Mr. ****** purchased a 2010 ******** SRX on October 7th, 2024. All paperwork was electronically signed and emailed directly to customer. Mr. ****** was given a copy of his bill of sale which showed he put $4500 down. His payments where $243.50 biweekly. Mr. ****** was on auto pay with the finance company. His payments came out automatically every two weeks for $250.80. Using a credit card there is a 3% fee added to the $243.50. Mr. ****** picked up his title transfer and vehicle registration on October 24th, 2024. Rock Bottom doesn't make any money off of registration or title transfer fees. All registration and title transfer fees are COD. What he was charged is the amount on his paperwork that he picked up and that is what the *** charges.
Mr. ****** had several promises to pays and was explained there would be late fees added to the past due payments. Mr. ****** never made his payments as promised. After several attempts by the finance company to contact Mr. ****** about his past due payments and declined auto payments, vehicle was repossessed on December 22nd. He was mailed several past due letters as well. Certified mail was sent to him explaining the vehicle was repossessed. Mr. ****** could have reached out to us at any time, and we would of be happy to give him a copy of his paperwork. Unfortunately, when you have no communication with the finance company and don't make your payments the vehicle will be sent out for repossession.

I am rejecting this response because: the entire response is false! I never received any paperwork whether in email as claimed by rock bottom nor by mail. I did contact them a few times and was told I would get a call back and never did. As far as the payments they changed each time. We were contacted two days after stating we missed our first payment which we did not. We also were told by the employees one being ***** that they typically do payments every two weeks but because I was paid monthly I would be charged monthly and that would add another week every couple months when a extra Saturday occurred. We again had no such paperwork sent to us in either form. If we had the paperwork why would we have to contact them to get our copies?! Please check all their reviews on their site as they have numerous complaints very similar to ours. We wont even get into the condition of the car only days after we got it. It was falling apart, check engine light, major electrical issues and the brakes and tires were not fit for the road. We understand it was bought as is but you would assume after asking if anything was wrong with the car that anyone who has been in business for 15 years would have been honest. You would also assume the car is road safe when you buy it from a 15 year veteran car lot. We did call to try and rectify the situation and was told that they no longer were doing business with me and that I could not get the car back but told me where and how to get my belongings. Again we received NOTHING as they stated we did. No bill a sale no itemized list, no payment amount or break down nothing. Therefore we do not accept this false response.
Sincerely,

Mr. ****** you purchased this vehicle on Oct 7th, 2024. You test drove the vehicle prior to purchase. We went over payments and contract thoroughly with you prior to signing. All contracts are electronically signed which means they are paperless. Contracts are emailed to our customers after signing. You made your first payment on time. On Oct 24th you paid for and received your vehicle registration. If you had problems with the vehicle, we were unaware and would have made you an appointment to look at it.
We spoke with you several times after regarding your past due payments. Past due payments are charged 5%, after the tenth day payment is due. We have noted the account of several promises to make those past due payments with the date you would pay. We mailed you warning letters about these past due payments. Unfortunately, you never made those payments. Vehicle was repossessed. After vehicle was repossessed, paperwork was mailed to you by certified mail. You signed for the certified mail in January. In order to get vehicle back you would need to pay off the loan and repossession fees. You defaulted on your loan. This repossession and vehicle have already been processed in a timely manner and was reported to credit.

Complaint: 22938145first an foremost the vehicle was not purchased on the date stated, secondly no one signed for any certified mail and the repossession letter was the only price of paper we received from rock bottom. You never emailed anything nor mailed any paperwork from the illegal car sale! Second why are you not addressing the fact that employee ***** added the car to his personal insurance which is also illegal and makes the sale even more illegal. Rockbottom was well aware of the complaints about the vehicle and again being in business for 15 years you would assume you would be honest when asked questions about the issues that were addressed at the time of looking and test driving the car. Again we received no mail, email or any paperwork from you guys. You stated that they were emailed but then in the next sentence from your previous response that the paperwork was picked up so Im confused. We contacted the towing company to ask if all the items that were placed in the black bag included any envelope as you stated in the dispute we have else where that supposedly had the paperwork for the car was any where in the car, the towing company stated there was no envelope any where in the vehicle so therefore your claims are false. According to the Florida state statutes you and your establishments conducting a illegal car sale on more than one level. There for we disagree with your statement. Please provide any information that you have that paperwork was sent and to what email.

Mrs. **** purchased a vehicle on December *******. She was financed and all paperwork was thoroughly gone over. Mrs. ****** payments were $210 every two weeks beginning on January 14th 2025. Mrs. **** was set up on autopay for these payments to automatically come out.
On January 14th her autopay was declined for her first payment. We called and left a message and sent text messages to her on January 15th, 18th, 21st, 23rd, 24th, 27th, and 28th regarding past due payment. We were also trying to contact the customer about her plate information so we could register her vehicle within the thirty days required by the *** and her temp tag expiring. We mailed late letters to the customer on January 21st and 28th. Mrs. **** texted a promise to pay on January 27th. On January 29th her autopay was declined again. We texted the customer explaining it was very important she give us a call. Customer was now past due on the first two payments. On January 29th Mrs. **** texted that she was going to have her bank overnight check. Again we texted her back asking her to give the office a call regarding her plate information and to speak to her about her payments. Mrs. **** never called our office. We didn't receive a check in the mail. We tried to contact her regarding this with again no answer. Vehicle was repossessed for failure to make payments. Vehicle was repossessed by a repossession company not affiliated with us. ******************** repossessed the vehicle at a hotel. Certified mail was sent to the customer.

On November 8th I went in to purchase a 2014 ***** Malibu I paid them $1133 down payment on the car the following Saturday November 16th I paid them another $412 payment on the car. November 18th exactly 10 days after purchasing the transmission went out in the car. I called the car lot immediately and had it towed to their shop. The following day they told me it needed a new transmission and they had found a used one with ******* miles on it. They wanted me to pay an additional $4,000 + interest to get the new transmission in on top of the almost $17000 they were charging me for the car. Now that I have told them I cannot afford to continue to pay for a car that doesn't run they now refuse to give me my license plate back until I pay them even more money even though they have gotten a free $1600 from plus have the car back in their possession and have already repaired the transmission and are going to be reselling the vehicle. They have made no effort to make the situation right at all and have no remorse for selling me a bad car. They refused to get me into a new car and refused to give any sort of compensation for all the problems they have caused included me loosing my job cause I no longer had transportation. The owner ***** also refuses to contact me in any way to even speak about the issues. He has his secretary do it and she has no clue what she is talking aboutBusiness Response

On November 18th customer had called the office and was broke down on the Expressway. He said he didn't have any money to have vehicle towed. We paid to have the vehicle towed to our shop. We explained all vehicles are sold as is and any repairs customer would be responsible for. Mr. ********* was aware, and after looking at the vehicle it did need a transmission. Unfortunately, this is something we can never foresee. ***** spoke with Mr. ********* and went over everything with him. Mr. ********* agreed to do a payment plan to pay for repairs. We ordered a transmission.
On December 4th Mr. ********* decided he no longer wanted the vehicle. We explained it would be a voluntary repossession. He wanted his license plate. We explained that all tags are COD and he had a balance he needed to pay for the plate transfer. Later that afternoon he called his plate in stolen. A deputy was provided all necessary paperwork that Mr. ******** signed. The deputy called Mr. ******** and told him that the plate wasn't stolen, and he needed to contact our office. We have already transfer title, plate, and paid taxes. We also paid for the *** and ordered a transmission. We were trying to work with Mr. ********** Mr. ********* doesn't want the vehicle he purchased, there for, it's a voluntary repossession. Mr. ******** is responsible to pay for the tag transfer as signed and stated in contract.

******* ***** bought the 2013 ****** Pathfinder from Rock Bottom Auto Sales on February 17 2024. Contract was gone over page by page, and she signed several documents. All vehicles are used and sold as is.
The first time she called us with a problem was on August 20 2024. She called us to let us know vehicle was broke down. We told her she could have it towed to us, and we could look at it. There would be a $45 charge to diagnose the vehicle. She explained she didn't have the money to have the vehicle towed until she got paid again. We told her we could call, and have it towed for her and make a promissory note for tow bill when she got paid. She agreed. We called Chucks Towing and they towed vehicle to our shop. Vehicle was towed in with no keys and we contacted her. ******* brought us the keys later on that week. On August 22 2024 we diagnosed vehicle. Vehicle needs an alternator. We called and spoke with ******* explaining what was wrong and how much it would be to fix the vehicle. ******* was going to talk to her husband and call us back. We have reached out to her numerous times. We have called, texted, and sent late letters to her without any response back. ********* account is very past due at this time, and we haven't heard back from her since August 22. Certified repossession mail was sent to ******* on September 10 2024 because account is extremely past due with no contact

I purchased a gmc Yukon from them we agreed on a price prior to signing the paperwork. When we signed the paperwork the sales person / manager unknown to me added over a ******* to the purchase price. I did not catch it till sometime later. When I went back they told me me it was a finance charge. No it was pure theft if I would have been told or caught it my self we would have walked away from the deal. They ripped me off and should be charged with theft by deceptive practices. I am sure karma will come to themBusiness Response

Good morning.
We strive our best with every customer that comes to our dealership and thoroughly go over all the paperwork prior to signing. There are several papers that you sign with the purchase price, terms and conditions. This vehicle was purchased on December 17th 2022. You signed the contract with the selling price. There is nothing we can do. This sounds like buyers remorse and we are sorry you feel this way.

I am rejecting this response because:
The numbers were never specifically gone over after the paperwork was finished He pointed to signature locations and said sign your sign here initial here. he managed to slide it by me there is no buyer's remorse the vehicle is OK it's strictly dealership Shady practices. I'm sure there's nothing they can do Because they have no remorse in what they do to people. The manager took over the sale from the employee and change the numbers in the contract without my catching it . I just want other people to be awhere and not make the same mistake I did in trusting what was on the contract and what was agreed to

We have been in business for over twenty years and want all our customers to be happy with their purchase. Unfortunately, we cannot make everyone happy. We thoroughly go over all the paperwork. It is the customers job to do their due diligence as well. We got you financed through a bank, and you purchased a warranty from an outside company. We are please you like the vehicle and are sorry you feel this way. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do. Everything was discussed and contract was signed over a month ago.

I am rejecting this response because: not only did someone at his business forge my signature on financial documents and then submit them to a financing company they never intended to submit the gap insurance document to the financing company either in my opinion also theres a matter of $5000 being notated by the company that I had paid cash down has nothing to do with a check but to mention that nowhere in the contract that they submitted to my finance company does it show anything to do with a check however they defend themselves righteous to the theft of my motor vehicle in the 17th of September. An entire two weeks after going home with the truck that was pending approval for a loan that I personally didnt sign! ***** or one of his employees forged my signature and changed the terms of the loan itself before submitting it. He never did his due diligence to the contract between he and I therefore had no right to repossess a vehicle that he did not have a lien on to begin with! Furthermore assuming a loan that was not made final due to his criminal actions isnt valid and he knows that! This man has committed several crimes against myself as well as directly impacted my business that suffers his unprofessional business practices.Sincerely,

Tell us why here... Rock Bottom Auto Sales has been in business for over 15 years. It is absolutely ludicrous to accuse us of forging signatures. There are over twenty papers you sign when purchasing a vehicle and all your signatures match. The finance company who approved your loan does a customer interview and goes over everything, including down payment. Your loan from them was approved. The down payment you gave was returned due to insufficient funds. Do to that, your finance contract was reassigned to our finance company.

I am rejecting this response because:
It is appalling apparent that you are unable and unwilling to be honest and forthcoming with your statement allow me to do so for you. As to the 20 paper agreement in reality theres only nine pages, three of which bear fraudulent signatures which are tangible and provable. As to the financing you were incorrect with your alligation as it was not approved due to rock-bottom auto sales committing fraud on the paperwork that they submitted. I also never received a phone interview to discuss anything from the finance company about any terms or any payments. I only received a phone call to verify references and contacts of those close to me. And as to address the down payment I personally have ****** signature stating that he has received, prior to me taking possession of the vehicle, $5000.01 CASH money. This is where he committed his fraud as I had paid him $3000 cash prior to receiving the key to the vehicle and driving off of his lot. If you could please elaborate for me how cash money Is to be held as insufficient. From my better understanding it doesnt therefore you did indeed steal my vehicle from me directly. You assumed a loan that wasnt valid. Youve broken several laws and in doing so you continue to defend yourself as righteous the law does not abide this type of behavior without being held accountable. The condition in which the truck was in is irrelevant as it was covered by under my insurance policy and was again not your property to be concerned with. Now please understand that although you may have been in business for 15 years. I am disheartened at the thought that I am not the only one that you have done this to. You are not entitled to what you have taken from me, no matter how much you think you are. I am asking for nothing more than the money you stole ($3,000.00) from me to be returned. Every dollar and every cent as it is mine and you have no legal claim to the first dime. I am only trying to recover what I was deprived of by doing business with you.
Sincerely,

I obtained a car from this company and before my 1st payment was ever due, the car broke down, once it was finally found what was wrong with is (battery) a friend paid out of pocket to replace it and found out the battery was well over it's normal age for being used. Once it was replaced though, we couldn't start the car due to some safety feature. I called the dealership and was finally told they would get it towed to them to check it out, but if the car starts then they don't check it (that's very unethical practice in my opinion, especially since they knew I was a single mom on a VERY tight budget and took the only money I had for a down payment because I was in a bind). After they towed the car I tried to contact them by phone and text, and got nowhere. Even the sales guy stopped responding to me. Thankfully, I hadn't gotten rid of my van yet otherwise I would've been ******* which with 2 kids is not feasible. I finally found out that the car lot had not only signed the document to transfer the car BACK to their name (which I did NOT authorize) but then they resold it!!! I feel like I was stolen from, and they are lucky I have not obtained a lawyer yet! This company is not a scam, but they are liars and thieves and do NOT know how to run a business!Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:the terminals were not loose, I had a professional install the battery, the car started but could not do anything, if the terminals were loose as you claim they were, there wouldve been more issues. And even if they were and you fixed the supposed loose terminals I was never contacted to pick up the car and resume my loan I had at that time. When I attempted to contact the company they never returned my calls and the salesman even stopped responding to me! I lived at that address until 1 year ago and I never once received certified mail except for a letter from that apartment with my move out fees due. No wonder you have such horrible reviews.
