We purchased 4 items on 4/11. The next day we needed to refund the items unworn, unused, with tags still on. The employee insisted they do not do refunds on returns- only store credit. I left the new items and receipt with the employee to have a manager process a refund. My daughter purchased multiple items at Surf style #*** and my debit card was charged twice for the purchase and they refused to give us our items. They stated the system didnt print a receipt so that means the sale didnt go through. However, my card was charged twice and when I showed the manager he threatened to call the police on her if I took my items that I purchased and was charged twice for. He was yelling and harassing her in front of the other customers. We left the store without my items and they have over $80 of my money that I received no merchandise for.Business Response

Hi, we purchased a shirt from this store on 3/29/2024. When we got back to ********* the security tag was still on the shirt. We had bought several items totalling $155.11 and everything else the tags were removed. Its a bummer because the shirt that is now usless was my sons who was looking forward to wearing it. I called the store, left a message and used their web sites contact form, but no response from the store. How can we get this tag removed? If it can't be removed, how do we get a replacement? I don't like to make a complaint to the BBB, but the company has left me no choice since they don't make it easy to contact them and the means I have reached out to them I have had no response. I purchased a product that became defective within first use. I had the product from surf style and tried returning it within the hour. I had it in original packaging, the receipt, and the debit card that I used. I explicitly stated I wanted a refund and not an exchange. When I took the managers picture for documentation the cops were called and we left calmly. This company has an illegal return policy and needs a formal investigation. The defective product was purchased on 5/21. The charge is for $11.76. As well, we tried contacting **************************************** regarding this refund issue.Initial Complaint

I purchased a swim suit in ********************* location in mid Aug while on vacation. I got home and noticed that the security tag was still attached to the bottoms rendering them unusable. I filed a complaint with their customer service at ******************************************************************************. I received a response on Aug 24th stating that they dont offer cash refunds but they would replace it. They wanted a copy of my receipt and a picture showing the security tag still attached which I sent them and gave them my address so they could ship me a new swim suit. They sent an email that they will send me the tracking information when available. It is now 3 weeks later and I sent 2 extra emails asking for an update on when they would be shipping it. Now no one is responding to any emails. I paid ***** for a swim suit that I can't use because they didnt remove their own security tag and now they are not returning my purchase or sending me a new swim suit not to mention they are no longer responding to any emails. My last email I sent said if they didnt respond that I was contacting the BBB and I didnt receive any response so this company forced my hand to contact you. 8/25/22 A week of non shipment on 2 shirts.. during this week I received no tracking info for an order placed on 8/16/22. MULTIPLE emails to customer service went unanswered during this time. On 8/23/22 I decided to try and call them and just got transferred around to different lines that no one would answer. After many many calls I finally got to a supervisor. She claimed that the shirts were on back order and it would be another few days. I asked her if she could just cancel the order. She agreed and a couple of refund emails came through. My bank does not see any refund in progress nor do I. This place is an absolute scam. BUYER BEWARE!! I want my money back, please help!!
